morning, you're waking up to mostly clear conditions so this is a nice shot of the san francisco skyline you can see alcatraz nice and clear and the center of your scre n here so yes, we're waking up to a lot of sunshine a little bit of cloud cover but not as much as yesterday. and yes things are definitely going to be a cooler around the bay area. it's all because of this low pressure system that continues to build it's going to be sticking with us up for the next couple of days and that's why we're seeing much cooler conditions verses what we've seen over the last couple of weeks is a matter of fact versus a yesterday at this time look at this we're cold the colder actually a pretty much everywhere look at that and 8 degree difference if you're waking up with us and that for right now fairfield you're at a 7 degree difference versus this time yesterday. close to the same but a few degrees difference if you are in mount view and of course in san jose with a 5 degree difference so much cooler you're going to feel it as you make your way out of the house this morning so definitely grab that jacket grab that sweater. we're in the low 50's in santa rosa, 58 in san francisco and then

we're looking at a lot of low 60's around the bay, but what set this afternoon going to look like in your neighborhood. i'll have that coming up in just a bit marty. >>sounds good. rebecca, thanks. a lot. we're taking a live look outside at sfo this morning, them because a key runway at sfo remains close. it's going to be closed for nearly a month. so right now you should know that there are 4 hour delays at sfo this morning. that's because crews are fixing some of the wear and tear problems on the runway. now this closure of course causing some headaches for travelers on saturday and kron four's christine that hate row we'll break down the $16 million project she has a live report from sfo coming up beginning at 8 this morning but keep in mind for our delays right now. all right, let's go to the north bay this morning where mill valley police are searching for a man who robbed a bank and got away on a mountain bike. it happened saturday morning at the wells fargo on miller avenue. take a look at the suspect's photo taken by surveillance cameras police

say that and showed the teller a note demanding money. he's described as an asian man between 30 to 40 years of age standing about 5 foot 5 inches tall weighing about a 130 pounds as you can see at the time he was wearing a a san francisco giants camp also a black windbreaker type of jacket and blacks and the sunglasses and he rode off on a red mountain bike. little police arrested an armed felon saturday who they say was on the run after assaulting a woman. police say that the a called police the victim called police to say that she had been kidnapped and raped at gunpoint a neighborhood was on lockdown while police search for the suspect. they eventually found and arrested 41 year-old thai nail coal of oakland neighbors were then allowed to return to their homes. in the south bay, san jose police launched a new program that ryan in prostitution and human trafficking in their city. it allows people to report suspects who to solicit 6

hand shoulder against traffic. police are still investigating. one man surveillance camera captured the video that high speed crash. the cajun the front of his neighbor's house and that was only the beginning of a drama that unfolded the driver also crashed into another car, people and animals were injured, but we don't know how badly. people in both cars were sent to the hospital and it turns out the driver was being chased by someone in a red camaro police called it a domestic situation. the driver of the camaro then pulled the person out of the car and started punching them. police later arrested that man. happening today, a free event in sonoma to help people prepare for disaster. it will include emergency preparedness demonstrations also tips from first responders and health professionals, they'll also be some free emergency kits available and that runs from 10 this morning till 3 o'clock this afternoon at the sonoma

a decade. but experts say we still have a long way to go. we're finally at pre-recession levels of food insecurity in the united states. the us department of agriculture says for the first time since the great recession in 2008. >>fewer americans are worrying about where to get their next meal. jane adams, a senior policy analyst for bread for the world attributed the good news to the growing job market when more people are working they have more income which means that they can afford to put food on the table but adam stresses the 11% of families that are still food and secure amounts to 37 million people for some places and people that are still really struggling. it's as if they never got out of the recession. the usda report from the hungriest americans aren't african american and hounoholds, particularly in the south and rural communities. adam says that's because these areas also have high levels of concentrated poverty and with little access to jobs have been stuck in the same cycle for decades people aren't getting the incomes they need to be able to survive now is talk of another recession, looms, adam says congress should continue to fund federal housing and nutrition

conditions and we're going to see it through most of the day today as well, but you up cooler that's all because of this low pressure system that work continues to build around the bay area it's going to be with us over the next couple of days, keeping just nice and pleasant for us nice and comfortable first of all the hot temperatures that we've been seeing over the last couple of weeks out the door, though it's a little bit on the chilly side we're tracking 51 in santa rosa right now 48. if you're waking up with us in napa low 60's a nevada we're looking at to upper 50's along the coast in san francisco. around our base said communities low 60's, 56 degrees in livermore right now downtown san jose. you're currently at 57. but yes things are going to get a little bit on the warmer side but not too hot. it's going to be 70 in san francisco. so a couple of degrees higher than yesterday but mostly clear conditions going to be beautiful in the city, oakland you're going to get 73 with a whole lot of sunshine to enjoy and then slow clearing in san jose but we will see some there as well that's going to be one of our warmer spots

>>well as dylan thomas reporting so far 450 people across the country have been hospitalized with this very mysterious illness. and 5 of them have died. a school in alabama is taking a unique approach to stopping teenagers from vaping and smoking in the bathrooms at school. they're removing the stall doors and so of the boys bathrooms the principal of the school says every day some students will sneak off to a bathroom to vape he says 2 weeks ago one student was found passed out in a stall. the decision to remove the stalls is causing quite a stir with some parents one of them says it's simply too drastic. >>may is apparent partially i think that's. >>they take their only private place on the school that they conduct their business. >>well the parents said a better solution would be to have an adult in the hallway or in the bathroom to make sure that no one's vaping principal is added that the
