we start tonight with alex trebek and the news is troubling. the beloved "jeopardy" host just revealed that his battle with stage four cancer has taken a turn, for the worse. >> i lost about 12 pounds in a week and my numbers went sky high. so the doctors have decided that i have to undergo chemo again. >> it's a devastating setback. alex, in a new interview recorded just yesterday told "gma" he needs a second round of debilitating chemo. >> i was doing so well and my numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer. so we were all very optimistic. >> this was alex back in april leaving the hospital. in june he told us his chemo treatments seemed to be working. >> my numbers are improving and i'm very positive about the outcome. >> after his first round of chemo alex needed a wig and faces more hair loss a second time. >> my hair started to grow back

so what little hair i have grown is gonna disappear again. >> alex has fought through intense pain, depression and at times fear, but has not missed one day of taping "jeopardy." >> there is an end in sight for me. when i do pass on, one thing they will not say at my funeral is, oh, he was taken from us too soon. hey, guys, i'm 79 years old. i had one hell of a good life. the thought of passing on doesn't frighten me. >> and today in a new video message to fans alex has a special request. >> please keep me in your good thoughts and prayers. believe me it means a lot. now to actress felicity huffman. just 38 days til she has to report to prison and martha stewart knows exactly how that feels. >> what advice, if any, do you have for felicity huffman and her situation? >> i don't want to comment on that sad situation. it's a mess and it will continue to be a mess until it's fixed.

>> stewart served five months for insider trading back in 2004 which made us wonder -- how will felicity's time in the big house compare to martha's? well, like martha the actress is heading to a minimum security facility. stewart's was in west virginia and nicknamed camp cupcake. felicity's prison of choice is in northern california and has been called club fed. and the actress will serve just a fraction of martha's five months, only 14 days. that's not much time to settle into a prison job. martha was a pro at waxing the prison floors. >> if you have a job, you do it well. that place was sparkling when i left. >> that attitude helped martha write the book on "the celebrity prison comeback." she has a reported net worth of $640 million. >> my customers believed in me. i believed in me. >> last night at the opening of a new stew leonards super market in new jersey martha told us felicity can get through i >> if you believe in yourself, everything will be fine.
