>>morning thanks for joining us on kron 4 news we can work off to a nice start a little chilly out there to vote as we take this live look from the embarcadero hi everybody i'm marty gonzales dave spahr is here with the forecast and dave, you know you hit it right on the head. windy yesterday made it feel a lot cooler around the bay area we know our looking for kind of a similar type the day today, the only thing is little wrinkle in although we have some nice shots to start things off with. >>they'll be the little shot of maybe some showers late in the apple going on on the north bay dragging through the greater bay, here's the white house see how as yet nice shot there. some orange in the skies there to start the day
7:01 am
little bit of red read in the morning got to take warning well okay by that logic may be little shower happening perhaps up in the north bay late afternoon the evening hours as a trip to traverse is across the greater bay. we'll have a look at what those models have to say in just a bit. here's the golden gate bridge again pretty clear from any fog but much the way that he wins as you can see the flag is pretty much stable there flow pattern still the same in stone on shore again temperatures will be in that on the cool side with that chilly breeze still holding on numbers for us we're the 40's, 39 for napa owed 5845 41% of rosa 54 san francisco 49 for a san jose in contrast a cooler this morning that we were yesterday some double digits out to the delta as you'll notice fairfield napa and even on the contra costa county that too 61 by 11 2 o'clock 66. after we get to the late afternoon things start to get
7:02 am
interesting maybe a few little puffy clouds and again those isolated little showers a possibility as we get to the evening hours with a closer look at all that coming up at that party okc in a few minutes we begin this hour with breaking news this morning. all westbound lanes of i 80 in richmond are closed after a deadly crash. >>kron four's christina tate will live in richmond. she has the latest can expect the freeway to be reopened again high christina good morning. >>well good morning. we are here at the on ramp at barry avenue for 80 westbound but all lanes are closed where this car crash actually happened is right behind me up this ramp. there are multiple cars involved. 2 people unfortunately left their love lost their lives. this morning, another was injured 13. she's me do too. the crash as well that not a lot of information on the crash itself so far we don't know what you know what speed the cars were going how many cars were involved, but we at least do know again that 2 people lost their lives another

injured, but there were multiple cars involved and then a fire broke out due to the collision here on the freeway. so let me show you exactly where we are 80 westbound here at the barrett on ramp right here as you go up and so all 4 lanes of westbound a t r lows here at verrett leading on to the rest of the freeway completely closed. now eastbound 80 is just fine. but if anyone is driving on 80 west on what they have to do they have to go ahead and get off it barrett and then they need to go ahead and take san pablo avenue that avenue that's actually a major thoroughfare through richmond that runs parallel 2 80 west bound so that is where a lot of the cars are going actually just in front of me behind the camera here you can see does it i don't see doesn't hundreds 100's of cars that have been exiting the freeway since i've been here that few minutes going on to san pablo to go ahead and get through this. so there are some major delays there. and that's going to you all the way through
7:04 am
richmond as well can get it out need to if you're commuting this morning. so again not a lot of information on exactly how this happened. but i can tell you. the fire department is here. they're still working on the cars right now multiple different agencies, california highway patrol police. coroner's office as well so the scene is very much still under investigation, a large mass on the freeway just above me as well you can see a tow truck here with a white car that they're telling a way involved in the car crash, not sure it's driving it, but this hybrid car that you just saw row behind me that is now being taken out of the scene very active right up there behind me we're going to continue to search for more details for your eyes to tell you when the freeways going to open back up as well as who is involved in this deadly car crash for now reporting live here in richmond christina tetreault crime. >>all right christine thanks for that live report check in with you in about an hour we'll get an update for you on when they plan to reopen the freeway. other news this morning breaking overnight 2 people were shot and wounded by san mateo police following a chase officers thought the

7:06 am
made the firefighting even more difficult but it was a quick response by firefighters to keep things under control. >>smoke stay down on the deck. >>so there was no real way to tell how far was into it. >>thankfully there were no reported injuries the cause of the fire is under investigation this morning. and we have new information for you this morning on the man who was arrested for starting several fires in milpitas last week freddie gray m lives in missouri, but was reportedly in milpitas for a high school reunion last weekend. while he was here police say that he started 13 fires over the course of 2 days. he told investigators he was in an emotional state over the loss of his wife last year. but classmates say that he seemed happy at their reunion last weekend. graham was arrested at san jose international airport is being now held in jail on $2 million bail. happening now you can expect more delays on highway

7:16 am
that time of year marty we're getting the sunrise on the warning early morning we are so that's kind of timed out right there you go there's a alcatraz island and uh you know nice shot of the city behind us as we watch the sun join us and warm us up here's the shot from the bay bridge as well and we're to keep things pretty much mostly sunny keel until late in the afternoon gets more tricky now right now we have mostly 40's on the board couple 50's here, san francisco, half moon bay. that's because the ocean keeping temperatures somewhat tempered over night 40's up here the north bay there's nap at 39 vallejo to a 58. so we're basically mostly sunny for most of the bay during the day today. you get to the late afternoon it gets more interesting some scattered clouds and there's an opportunity for a few scattered showers now this is already at 8.30 and this hasn't dropped through the bay area. so that's what we'll say it's a late afternoon. evening opportunity for an isolated shower. and we should mention because we've got cold air aloft. thunder shower little possibility here will be
7:17 am
shortlived won't be a lot quantitatively a bit but that possibility is there actually looks like overnight there too. so be a nocturnal thunder shower here, but you can see 6 45 tomorrow morning that's pretty much passed over, but might have some wet roads potentially. so here's the lowdown today, it's mostly sunny cool. windy still with us an isolated north bay late. evening shower. tomorrow, we're mostly sunny after that passes over continue cool upper 60's for the bay 70's going on in london and a gradual warm up trend, it looks like from mid 70's for the bay lower 80's happening in london forecast calls for 64 san francisco, 67 for oakland and 70's, san jose across the wider bay. temperatures quite chilly as you can see hard to find those 70's, although there are few out there, 72 for concord for example, 70 from 72 up there to santa rosa, but everybody pretty much be into the 60's for highs today, again with all few little isolated 70's here and there when your 4 zone forecast coming up little bit later on march. all right, dave sounds good. thank you to
