overnight --- several vehicles, including a school bus full of students on their way to san jose -- were hit by projectiles in montery county. the c-h-p is working to figure out if those projectiles were bullets. it happened on northbound 101 in the town of prunedale around 5 p-m friday evening. the bus carrying the carmel high school football team was headed to a playoff game. the c-h-p says a silver mercedes was hit first... one of it's window was shattered. then 9-1-1 calls came in saying the bus carrying the football team was also hit. ( marty ) the c-h-p says one person

in the mercedes and one student on the bus were hurt by broken glass. again.. no offical word on if these vehicles were hit with bullets..for now, the c-h-p is just saying the vehicles were hit with projectiles. they are still trying to find the person or persons responsible. the carmel unified school district released a statement saying a replacement bus picked up the students and took them to san jose for friday's game. ( marty ) devastating news out of stockton. the c-h-p says -- a van carrying ten teenagers crashed into a canal friday afternoon -- killing two of them. investigators are still trying to find out how it happened. they say -- the van was carrying high school students aged 13 to 17. the c-h-p says the 17 year old driver did not have a license and many of the teenagers were not wearing seatbelts. the teens were taken to three different area hospitals - some suffering from hypothermia from being in the water. ( marty ) a developing story we have been following... the investigation into the orinda halloween killings has led to more raids and more arrests. domico doans and frederick johnson were arrested thursday and booked for murder in connection with the halloween shooting.. but the d.a.'s in both contra costa and solano counties are charging them with crimes unrelated to the orinda shootings. doans is charged with a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. he has a prior felony conviction for second degree robbery in santa clara county, that bars him from having a firearm. , but again

building has been vacant for years. amazon says it will bring hundreds of jobs to the area when it opens the center. ( marty ) youtube is making changes it says will better protect children and others from harassment online. starting in january, youtube will disable comments on videos for kids. it is also looking at stopping targeted advertising to children. the company is also working closely with video creators to find the best ways to improve the platform's guidelines. the changes are coming weeks after youtube reached a 170-million dollar settlement with the federal trade commission over violations of children's privacy. an alert from their license plate recognition camera. police also found a replica handgun in the car. ( marty ) in martinez... police say they found a large amount of methamphetamine and two guns in a stolen car thursday night. they arrested two people in connection with the theft. no details have been released on the identity of the suspects. ( marty ) a 13-year-old boy is in custody in southern califonia -- accused of threatening a shooting at his middle school. amy johnson explains what investigators found when they tracked down this young suspect. this is a high-powered assault rifle la county sheriffs deputies recovered from a 13-year-old boy's home after he allegedly threatened to shoot up animo mae jemison charter middle school in willowbrook. "i didnt know him like i didnt know his name either." 12-year-old brian mendez doesn't know the student, but he and all of his classmates know all about the threat. "i heard they wanted this one kid wanted to start a school shooting." "i heard that it was a boy planning a list of students and teachers." a letter went home to the parents to make sure they know as well. "multiple students overheard the school threat and campus and teachers e-mailed the administration about concerns raised by the students. school officials contacted the sheriff department immediately. he

been attacked by the group - consumer watchdog, which says california has lost half its recycle centers in the past six- years. the advocacy group estimates californians forfeited at least 308- million dollars in nickel deposits on cans and bottles last year, because it is difficult to find a place to recycle them. ( marty ) a billboard company based in livermore is suing the california department of transportation over the state's political sign restriction. the billboard company has a re-election message saying simply - trump 2020 . but according to californiaús outdoor advertising act, political signs visible from within 660 feet of a state highway right of way is illegal if itús more than 90 days from a election. legal experts are calling the move unconstitutional..arguing that the outdoor advertising act has dozens of exemptions but is choosing to fight this one..

"i didnt know him like i didnt know his name either." 12-year-old brian mendez doesn't know the student, but he and all of his classmates know all about the threat.
