about that coming up in a bit party, sounds good dave, thanks. a lot of breaking overnight firefighters put out a small grass fire on a hillside in martinez. >>kron 4 of you are chris man field sent us these photos of the fire clearly burning behind a home. it broke out across the street from john sweat elementary school about 1 o'clock this morning. firefighters quickly put it out though, and no information about the cause of the fire just yet. there are reports though of of fireworks being heard in the area before that fire was reported. horror and heartbreak in union city as police are investigating a double homicide. the victims are 2 children. the bodies of 2 boys just 1114 years old were found in the parking lot of cereals element elementary school. so far police have not yet released a motive and they're looking for the person or people responsible kron four's felipe gaulle has the details. >>a stunned and emotionally broken group of family and friends sharing a private

moment at the scene of a double homicide case. >>sherri saum really sad and a lot of crying people. >>just obsessed several neighbors in union city reported gunshots at cereals elementary school just before one 30 in the morning we thought they were actually coming from behind the house. >>turns out there and for the house, but i heard about anywhere from 15 to 20 gunshots union city police say the victims were 1114 year-old boys. >>the new haven unified school district says one was a district student. the other a former student. a mother says her young son once attended class with one of the boys was a 6th >>that used to go to sarah's entry and also freshman in high school investigators say the boys were parked in a school parking lot sitting in a van when gunman shot at them. >>one victim died on scene the other on the way to the hospital to some we don't know exactly what led up to the shooting we don't have witnesses.

there's downtown san francisco in the background alcatraz in the foreground beautiful orange is in the background. 2 is we see the sun starts to rise up and light up downtown area so future cast for one of those winds do not much today. monday morning we start to see what looks like at least in the west we're talking about moraine county sonoma. good onshore wind. it's somewhat coming in from the coast. there's a little disturbance that's part or northward to get the backside of that low really kicking up here on your monday, here's the commute home. now we're getting those winds due north particularly in places like solano county napa counties and on down to the east bay now. so we'll have those apparent offshore winds and show you humidity just a bit but it does cover the entire bay area in terms of the wind flow, somewhat offshore. this is all taken care of by monday night into tuesday winds subside don't have any rain yet. but the clouds start to build throughout the day on tuesday. let's get back the humidity levels here pretty good as we

carlos martinez kosair us will be charged with murder after investigators found evidence that links him to the killing. kron four's gayle ong has more. >>around 12 38 thursday afternoon, this home on jennings avenue became a crime scene. police tell us it was a violent death, a 55 year-old man's body found inside the house santa rose as crime scene investigations unit spent hours combing through evidence inside the home trying to determine who is responsible for his death was pretty shocked. it's typically quiet neighborhood. >>and i'm having my daughter dogs out a lot so to hear about something like that happening so close was going talking, but you know you said to be cautious of where we surroundings. >>saturday people were at the house, but they did not want to speak on camera neighbors tell us the man who died lived here for more than 15 years with his partner. the homicide happened across the street from a popular park where many residents in the area bring their dogs and children really surprised because it's a nice

mile radius of each of the existing 4 sites in san francisco and comparing the 6 months before they open to the following 6 months. those night numbers show that 3 of the navigation center saw crime rates drop division circle by 17% bayshore by 4%. brian street crisis street crime dropped by 11%. but sent the central waterfront center saw crime increased by 60%. that is a very steep increase in percentage but represent represents just 18 actual reported crimes over those 6 months. one man who lives close to the central waterfront navigation center says those fears of crime going up disappeared after the shelter went in. none of the fears that they had came to pass. >>and then now 2 and a half years since it opened really none of the feeling of insecurity that people felt they would have. none of this idea that there would be an attractive magnetic quality for people who aren't house to come here too otherwise wouldn't. none of that has
