and that will spring. 75 million federal dollars to up to 85 them k. so all cdc has to do. declare. the corona virus. an emergency. and that will spring up to $85.85 $1 dollars that's immediately available it's already been appropriated. so that cdc can do everything it can to prevent the spread. while the president risk is low. you can never be too careful when it comes to something as deadly and virulent as this virus. and as i said the cdc is doing a good job we don't have any complaints with them. so far it being proactive in working round the clock to protect public health. but we want to make sure they can sustain this pace and have all the dollars they need should the outbreak get worse. and should

the outbreak it we're still going to need immediate access to critical federal funds that at present they can't access because an emergency has not yet been declared. the cdc needed when the fund cdc's needs are locked up. not nefarious lee just bureaucratic lee. and we're here to say use the key now and unlocked the dollars and the only way to do that is declare a public health emergency. so today, i'm urging hhs. health and human services federal to follow the cdc's proactive lead and declare a public formal health emergency for the corona virus and in doing so will unlock 10's of millions of dollars for the cdc to access. thus far the cdc is working tracing the virus has been critically important but if things get worse they're going to need access to the funds. and here's the good news. the millions of the to the

news, this morning, it's been 3 months since 3 people were killed when the hard rock hotel construction site collapsed in new orleans. now protesters are calling for the damaged building to be torn down and cleaned up. they say they're fed up with the city's failure to act the bodies of 2 workers are still buried in the rubble and earlier this week a tarp covering one of the bodies was blown away and a picture of the remains spread on social media that prompted activists to demand immediate action to recover those bodies. oscar jimenez has more. >>as a building under construction collapsed in new orleans. onlookers ran for safety as what was supposed to be a 350 room hotel came crashing down 3 people were killed 30 injured in the early october collapse but the building remains in ruins on the edge of new orleans french quarter and now more than 3 months after the collapse
