>>good morning welcome back to kron 4 news weekend taking a live look outside this morning, some hazy skies are really nothing to worry about in san francisco from central cam this morning dave's here
8:15 am
with forecast marty we're looking at improving one at that i guess you could say in some ways because we have some of this cloud cover to be down south kind of the old we should look observatory earlier that look like somebody just walked out a shower or something can see anything that some of the cloud cover look this is going down south. that's going to exiting stage at least by this afternoon improve the sky conditions for you down south and parts of the east bay. however, the fog will linger in places like a half moon bay, a little today. tomorrow a little bit of a breeze though will be joining us, here's the shot from a u c berkeley as we take a look the east bay shoreline all nice and lit up. nice a shot off to the distance with lots of blue skies which we also see at the golden gate too. a minor breeze that will be hanging around for today. now let's get back to the future cast for to see what we do have some scattered showers to the south you will notice and look at the churning that again exit stage we clear out a little better for today that means in the south and the east bay compared to what we had from last night. although it looks like around monterey bay, some of this continues to hover mixed in with some fog which around half moon bay as
8:16 am
well we're going to have to deal with when does a little bit of a breeze across the real estate today. then it picks up a little bit tonight overnight into sunday, here's the progress there north bay peninsula, mostly some of the valley's off the east bay, but you can see it doesn't cover the whole real estate even late like this and this is a transition we're building from the slow. that's basically in the central to southwestern coast. that's going to leave us and with a high pressure ultimately building that means a heat spike coming our way by the way mostly sunny today we'll call it cool breezy and 60's for bay area wide repeat that tomorrow but turning more windy in some selective spots as we were just showing you. the next week this is interesting warming early by midweek and we've got mid 70's and that may be conservative happening in the may even spy to about 80 or so, but it's the formula for heat spike coming our way but it's february though midst upper 60's we can see in the central valley, 69 sacramento, 59, san

francisco along the central coast. we'll show there moderate 51 and lower 60's to so cal, some of that of course is the fog of the rather the cloud cover lingering keeping temperatures controlled. 59 san francisco, oakland 62, 68 san jose across a greater portion of the region will get maybe some lower 70's in places like antioch and santa rosa, but basically we're talking about the mid to upper 60's story for today. coming up in a bit we'll have that were extended forecast for a little bit later on marty sounds good dave, thanks. a lot. officials confirmed 2 new coronavirus cases right here in california and that raises the total here in the state to 15. >>the newest cases involve a person in sacramento county and one in humboldt county. now us health officials are preparing for the coronavirus to become a pandemic a doctor at the cdc says that while the virus is not spreading in the us right now. they are saying quote it's very possible maybe even likely that it may eventually happen. the doctor

badge of being healthier i've had people say oh my god it's very well. you don't need it right to you know it really does help us in a way does you need those that believe the good and the good guys so some of those 5 high-fiber foods that feed the good bacteria, the good bacteria ok don't want to eliminate that if you don't have to because that reduces your immune system. also increases your risk for the disease is so the bottom line with gluten anyways if you don't have disease. this is something that you want in your diet right it became of a and a diet weight loss diet, yes, definitely has nothing to do with it has nothing to do with weight loss, it's not fat freddy's saying us we're going from gluten-free too fat free and on fad and how do you draw calorie free other distinction exactly this became popular in the 80's, the whole fact that yes your your enemy. and actually when i see fat free
9:49 am
those that's when the go because fat kids food texture he gives that flavor sure so when you remove that it has to come they put something else in it tipped to compensate for that and what we have here in this bottle of salad dressing and every free calorie-free and fat trans fat free while we're at yeah still you look at the ingredients in the head you look at it generally there's a whole list of ingredients in there. yeah, a lot of that i couldn't pronounce and some of it i wonder if i want this in my body such as titanium dioxide yeah, that's that's what's in your sunscreen and is on your senior sounds good. yes, yeah, and it's also in your saturday night live there are so many additives and preservatives in that and again like i said watch out for those things and them when you go fat free that's going to compensate for something else so fat free is definitely another red flag for a lot of folks right of

what becomes very popular nowadays and especially the first part of the year is a detox or cleanse from have contracts yeah i always hear i'm in a d tax kinds for a week or several days. >>but the thing is your body is detoxing every minute of the day your liver your kidneys, your intestines are doing that's doing it naturally, yes, and added to help can actually the things that really helped to clans and speed things to your digestive track our high fiber those that insoluble fiber is a call nature's are you talking and to the rough age that's guide to healthy instead of doing like a a t to ackley ok so so try and stay away from this because it's really not going to help you not another car i've seen so many for apple cider vinegar

plans is it just sounds discussed, i know, and it's not good for you ok liz lets want a natural because that's another that's another label that we see on a lot of things that it's natural yes, and when you seem natural it kind of makes it sound like old into something good about it you could surely it's ana with the sugar the central came so to natural that word is kind of a nothing word. it's a marketing term. >>because it's not regulated by the fda it that way it just makes you think that you know there aren't additives that hormones and antibiotics and all those but they're really yeah, so it as far as you're concerned it's meaningless it really is it really the that it's healthy because it's as you know because it says natural last one in the time that we have left organic organic great example of work hard and it does not mean healthy we have organic jelly
9:52 am
beans, i've never heard of and like i was telling you one serving is half the bag, not the whole the bag 8 teaspoons of sugar while half the bag is companies obviously are allowed to get away with us yet well it our ganic i mean it's as organic they have to think they have to go through a regulation all right to market it such. but that doesn't mean it's healthy doesn't mean it's healthy you have to read the label and try to buy foods that don't have a label. advocate foods that don't have a label like for some veterans and that's going go to your karen thank you we'll be right back.
