morning, happy sunday, everybody we're taking a live look outside the mark and errol camera things looking pretty good in san francisco. hope it's bright shiny where you are as well, hi everybody i'm marty gonzales. >>these parts the forecast in a little bit of fog we're dealing with that will give way to mostly sunny temperatures much the same little cool but warming up looks like for the week ahead. well it protected by next week a little flavor of spring coming our way was the overcast appears that we get take a look at the shot from a u c berkeley as we take a look at the east bay shoreline kind of obscured by some of that foggy cloud cover that we're

talking about there you can see it in the sky view from behind not so bad, the golden gate, it's more of a mostly clear image with a little bit of a breeze cooking here with the flag flapping around it will notice satellite radar not too much upstream. most the series cloud cover is going to remain to the north down to us we're going to stay pretty cloud-free for the bulk of the day now, here's what happens with that fog by the way mention clears out pretty quickly well before the noon hour looks like temperatures a bit chilly. this morning we've got 30's up there in the north bay. meanwhile, 40's upper 40's at that in the south bay, even the inland spots looking at upper 40's so not your imagination a touch cooler this morning that we saw from yesterday and for a good chunk of the bay as well. look at your breakdown today, some scattered clouds were dealing with start that some of the foggy clouds and maybe this afternoon just a touch as well as temperatures managed to get up there to the mid but there were to get some octane in this forecast get those temperatures moving a little bit give you a flavor of spring. that's coming up by

mid week with more of that in just a bit looking forward to it thank you dave. we begin this hour with some good news rescue teams are calling it a miracle that missing palo alto couple spent their first night indoors last night after going missing a week ago. >>rescue crews found them in the dense woods on some beach in marine county. they had gone for a hike and got lost near inverness and that prompted an intensive search until the couple was found saturday morning. kron four's gayle ong is in marine county with more. >>members of the marine county search and rescue and canine teams have found the couple we're told who are in great spirits. carol cup are and urban are alive and well the marin county sheriff's office tweeted this photo of the palo alto couple in the hospital more than 70 people and rescue dogs set out to search for them and finding their way through dense vegetation and rough terrain so we're search at the drainage from shower beach. >>is very tough going very tough drainage not halfway up we hear voices, first 2018, but then they started yelling

after being lost and rescue they wish to extend their gratitude to all the search and rescue members that you see behind me. >>who are the reason for carolinian being found. >>at last check the couple's at the hospital with their family by their side who are ecstatic to say the least reporting in inverness gayle ong kron 4 news. >>breaking overnight. redwood city police reporting a fatal accident on southbound one oh one it happened about 3 o'clock this morning near veterans boulevard police say the car went off the highway up an embankment then it went airborne and collided with a light pole. the driver was an 18 year-old woman from san jose, the passenger also woman was pronounced dead at the scene police believe that alcohol was a factor in the collision. of course advise everyone to think twice before drinking and driving. >>don't drink and drive finding a dozen the driver. uber there's lot of ways to it home safe

>>the driver of that car is now facing felony dui charges. and in the south bay a fatal crash close southbound highway 87 to southbound inertia interchange of highway 85, but it's now reopened again. police responding to the crash about 3 o'clock this morning. we're checking with police for more information. 3 people were killed another 18 injured when a bus rolled over in north san diego county. the bus was traveling on i 15 saturday morning when suddenly it rolled over several times first responders found it on its roof with several people still trapped inside. the driver survived and is cooperating with authorities as they try to figure out what exactly caused the crash. now to the north bay this morning where officers responded to a sideshow in santa rosa that happened friday night in the kohl's parking lot on airway drive santa rosa police and the chp estimate that there were up to 75 cars there, several drivers were cited santa rosa police say they

>>we welcome that run for newsweek and taking a live look outside a beautiful view this morning from the embarcadero a sight seeing a lot of blue sky there are plenty of sunshine days parts here with the forecast sun is peering through some of icloud us they're looking pretty good kind of optimistic for sunday looks like it's going to hold that weight. and we're a bit chilly this morning with some 30's 40's a lot of the inland valleys, however, will make up for that in the afternoon, here's the shot again from u c berkeley again dealing with some of that. all the cloud cover that hanging around a little bit and also we can see this from future cast for now most of the lion sure this is down south in monterey bay, which that too will clear out a little bit in the afternoon. we'll keep a couple scattered clouds still in our future and a bit of a breeze to let's get to that when the part here and that's going to be breezy to windy in spots now mostly appear in the north bay in the peninsula. much of what we saw from yesterday as well, but that on shore wind out of the northwest as you will notice here coming and coming across napa county as well. but i can extend across the wider bay as

much. it's certainly no advisories or anything with it but will be a bit of a cool breeze that we're dealing with particularly in the north bay and along the peninsula coast and that again will cover most of the day today. bit of an offshore wind try to develop it looks like inland here a little bit later on by monday. so our shot coming in from sun dole speaking to some of that fog mostly sunny into the afternoon cool breezy will still call it 60's across most of the bay then for the early part of the week we got a warming trend pushing those highs to the mid to upper 70 degree range and we might pop a few 80's as well. but then we retreat by next week or the end of next week a late next week. clouds core temperatures by the weekend. yes, a chance of rain looking at the long range forecast models not as optimistic as it looked like from earlier, but still there we've got some upper 60's in the central valley for high temperatures going on today, 60 for san francisco, 54 monterrey again they're kind of dogged by some of that fog in a some cloud cover lower to middle 60's down to sow cow with 46 up to big bear will go

with 60 san francisco, 63 covering oakland and 64 san jose, very familiar from yesterday. temperatures still hang in there in the mid to upper 60 degree range for a lot of those inland valleys with even the east bay shoreline in lower 60's territory. still looking for a little chance of rain developing by the weekend. we'll take a look at the long range forecast models for an extended and a bit mark sounds good dave. thank yous. the federal government is planning to move up to 70 corona virus patients from travis air force base in fairfield to a center in orange county and southern california. >>but not without a legal fight that's because the city of costa mesa got a federal court order delaying the transfer of those patients. city officials want more time to find out if the site is suitable to house, those patients the transfers were supposed to happen tomorrow. city officials say that they were notified by the feds just last thursday. >>we have a lot of activity in the area. so it's not the kind of area that's isolated and

learning more this morning about the pilot in the helicopter crash that killed kobe bryant his daughter and 7 others. records show that the pilot had previously violated weather-related rules. according to the f a a back in may of 2015. risen by and had been denied clearance to la x airspace because of reduced visibility. but he flew there any way the f a a says abyan admitted to the area just to the error rather and receive counseling. in last month's crash has been trying to get special permission to fly through foggy conditions. air traffic control says that he was trying to avoid a cloud layer just seconds before the crash. and that's the last time he was heard from. it's going to be a very emotional day in los angeles tomorrow is a public memorial for kobe bryant will take place at the staples center on monday. chris wolfe has the story. all the tickets have been distributed. the arena will hold 20,000. >>nearly a month after

outside from the market era. cam this morning, plenty of sunshine there damos some clouds but really nothing to worry about little bit over for the clouds kind of thing that's going to excel forced to essentially a mostly sunny days come we're talking about for your sunday, so. >>kind of 2 thumbs up on cool side, but hey it's february and we're going make it feel a little bit less that way by the middle of the week as a shot from alcatraz in kind of get an idea about it starting to lift off a little bit. we had a nice view of the city behind all of that source, not sure i'll run in that to fog cover there satellite picture. a difference a day makes member all that mess down here in the southwest. now that's all moved off and behind it we're left with essentially clear skies but again that lower marine layer that helps produce some of the fog in the morning hours we're dealing with that for the morning hours. ok for future cast for what does it tell us not much except on monterey bay we're dealing with a little bit of the way that fog just to start the day off that again will mix off pretty nicely as we get into later on today temperatures though uber in the 30's up there in the north bay. we're looking at temperatures above freezing at

least and we know sometimes it can be frankly much below that but there we see him tumble that more so than we saw from yesterday 40's off to the east bay and even the south bay with some milder lower 50's hugging the coast. this is more typical of what we tend to see near the water temperatures tend to be more mild than in those inland spots but compared to yesterday we are noticeably cooler today. then we were yesterday today, let's keep a couple scattered clouds in kind of coming and going temperatures moving from the 40's to the 50's ultimately into the 60's. that's where the project our highs today, 60 san francisco, oakland, 6364, san jose across the wider bay we're talking mid to upper 60's for highs shaving off those shots of some 70's and we do have them in the 70 forecast could have been extended for you as well as the 4 zone forecast in just a bit marty. back to the news this morning, it's been one year since a woman tragically died in the landslide of san francisco's fort funston.

yes for less. kron 4 morning news, good morning, everybody live shot coming in from sfo looking pretty good this morning, although you don't see a lot of traffic right now the no delays happening this morning which is good news a little bit away and some fog were taken care of some. >>we'll call coastal kind of cloud fog kind of situation. thus the shock new c berkeley we see things start open up nicely to get some clear skies behind all of that temperatures are going to move too much even in the inland valleys way inland for central valley for example upper 60's will be kind of the rule there 65 or sacramento, 60 per san francisco, moderate 54 when they will deal with some fog. all day today we've got the mid to lower 60's down so cal and that mess from yesterday remember yesterday we showed you can see kind of the outlines of it we're all of that shower activity was in the 4 corner states. it lost a lot of its punch. it's now all trucked to the east and the southeast so its impact on us

is very slight. there is a little package of cloud cover to our north but we're going to keep that generally speaking out of our forecast future cast winds does have something worth noteworthy here for moran. sonoma counties, the peninsula. you're going to see some of those on shore winds cooking a little bit here and at the very end of everything on monday morning looks like a bit of an offshore wind developing by tomorrow morning a bit that will be in the far inland reaches there is you can see. so in the long range forecast models that are cross fingers and toes together here let's see friday and saturday sunday aedt about the best we can muster for now i know this doesn't look as good as some of the models were looking at before showing us some rain shot but to running through various different model runs and i've been looking at. we still have to keep that mention of rain in the forecast, although it doesn't look as intense, maybe as we were hoping maybe perhaps will be a very sunday morning early shower, followed by some afternoon scattered showers with all of that that's what it looks like from this vantage point we stay 2 to 4 to be announced 4 zone forecast for you here's how it

shapes up 60 san francisco's mission district about 61 a touch cooler in spots today, 59 for half moon bay 60 for daly city in the northern end of the peninsula still in the upper 50's territory. down south it starts to get into well mid lower 60's at that 60 to palo alto in mountain view. redwood city at 62 just a hair colder than yesterday and also in the south bay 2 words, mid 60's today, 64 for san jose morgan hill, 6563 cupertino and also those for the east bay shoreline it's lower 60's to the south tri valley are looking at 50 a 63 rather for pleasanton livermore dublin comes in about 6366 for walnut creek and also oakland at 63. and jumping up here in the north bay. we'll get some upper 60's at work here for vacaville 67 fairfield 6967 for napa and sonoma at 68 69 looks like for santa rosa, but the coast still quite chilly in the mid to upper 50's says that chilly for you take a look at the 7 day forecast,
