8:45 am
tomorrow and we'll be left with some of those winds to much of the day tomorrow too. winter weather let's get back up in the mountains now this is until noon today as a formality, although we expect to know what a wave happening later today. up in the sierra about one to 3 inches of snow localized 3 to 6 inches. this is backing off slightly on the amounts that we saw from yesterday's reports and but in travel could be kind of hazardous in spots because it will be coupled with some stronger winds. speaking of which this is we're looking like across the bay area. that's going up tick this afternoon we're stopping about 7 there you see some of those offshore winds up there in napa county just getting into the east bay and peninsula at that point. overnight through monday morning look at that and solano county, quite windy. all than returning again monday afternoon monday night and by tuesday you can see still quite breezy banking off of a dry atmosphere by that point all right the search for rain this week said to be pretty quiet warming up a little bit with high

pressure and then we get to the end of the week, there's little chance of rain developing on saturday. secondary system getting us into early the following week looked a lot more optimistic so looks like it might miss us from this run, but that's way up there. the models can change they frequently do so keep the fingers crossed perhaps we'll get something out of that high temperatures today. if we're lucky about 6063 up there to santa rosa, which is a nice climb from this morning, 61, the bottle, 60 per half moon bay to 59 san francisco and even a 59 for san jose lining up your 70 forecast we're mid 70's by wednesday finishing off the week cooling off a touch back to the 60's with some rain for friday and saturday. >>well deciding where to spend those precious vacation days can be pretty tricky if you've been thinking of trying a cruise though setting sail from california is easier and maybe even more tempting than ever all sounds good are traveling disease. dana redmond joins us now with more on that california now has a base i absolutely know typically for the us, the caribbean has always been that go spot that's where the new

some you know is going you know it won't be like crystal clear blue skies that we sometimes will get. >>so that kind of imagery there that will be some partial clearing will called variable clouds on balance pasty white skies at times thickening up those clouds we have another dose coming later on this afternoon evening. but the bigger issue affect most people are going to be the winds later now suffer malad let's get through this here just to mention again the radar seeing a lot we have to mention some rain happening fighting through dry air not really reaching the ground for the most part winds single digits to calm conditions what were seen that too is going to uptick that a wind advisory that technically doesn't kick in for another ball, 45 minutes or so but. walk spect it really around for much of monday to which also goes outside the advisory period. here's a shot of u c berkeley and kind of that hazy sunshine at best again that's probably the best effort we're going to see today, future cast for noting this bit of cloud cover again you saw that secondary little wave happening and

everything kind of clears out by 6.45 or maybe 5 and too late because much in the way of sunshine. also the precipitation you can see the mountains starts to erode away pretty quickly before monday dawn, so all of this will be taken care of will be back to those clear skies. but the winds will be with us dry offshore they will be let's run through this now through the day today. this is 7 30 there's the coverage area notice some of the air is already coming off shore. coverage is pretty good except the south bay hasn't gotten there yet. this is again about 07:30pm we're in the advisory zone already. overnight through monday morning afternoon evening and now into tuesday morning and we still have some winds hanging on to parts of the delta up to the north bay as well that's going to be outside advisory period so variable clouds will say in an optimistic note. a few potential showers maybe breezy to windy and then tomorrow, it's mostly sunny warming quickly with 70's returning over the bay, mid 70's by the way midweek and then we have

cooling and showers by weeks and that will be friday saturday. sunday and it's early into the following week we're looking at the long range forecast models to see. if yet there's another dose coming our way doesn't look as good now the latest runs though 59 san francisco 60 going on for oakland, 59 san jose. that's pretty typical for we're going to see across the greater real estate some lower 60's places like santa rose up to 63 to get the gold star, 60 per conquered in 59 meanwhile for san jose coming up in a bit we'll take a look at those longer range forecast models and our search for rain somewhere along the horizon marty ok please keep looking. well happening today, we're remembering and honoring the selma bridge crossing that's commonly known as blood e sunday. >>that's when civil rights protesters in selma, alabama were attacked by state troopers on the edmund pettus bridge. back on march 7th in 1965. a subsequent march to sell from selma to montgomery was headed by doctor martin luther king junior. and every
