welcome back to kron 00:04am morning news, we started the day pretty gray and a little bit chilly for this time of year let's find out from dave spahr that's going continue throughout the rest of the day pi day.
9:44 am
>>hey good morning marty and robin good morning, everybody we're going to prove the sky conditions going on here as we get into the afternoon although a little bit maybe on the chilly side, you know mel probably be temperatures in the 60's for most of the bay area will check in your 4 zone forecast coming up in just a bit live shot coming in here from the bay bridge other you see all the overcast that the gray that i'm already was talking about still with us working on that part sfo no delays happening here we did see some traffic earlier going on so no delays from sfo from what we got. now what we've been talking a lot about is this rain and there's an opportunity tomorrow with that line of cloud cover you see off towards the west. the pacific is providing a lot more of those however the doors open right now and for tomorrow morning. but it does not look quantitatively to be that much enough to wet the roads over the windshield wiper action for essential workers and so forth and then boom that's kind of it we're not going to pick up a whole lot know upstream again most of these other systems they'll be going up in around us
9:45 am
checking into bexar she'd be statewide temperatures today we got the lower 70's to middle 70's for much of the central valley today. sacramento comes in about 7063 per san francisco. moderate 58 and mid 60's down to the coastal southern california, future cast rain we frozen this here because we're going to run through this to show you what we're getting this is kind of lipstick on a pig of prey to say to be quite candid with you not a lot as you can see is what we're getting here just to get enough to wet the roads. cosmetic rain if you will and not much more upstream, it looks like for the week ahead, it just didn't come together air force in terms of getting something really juicy the deeper moisture, we're open on. so there's an opportunity that happens in a monday. we have a stray shower or 2 tuesday morning cookie for the santa cruz mountains points to the south down to moderate potentially but then a high pressure builds into repels everything that comes off the pacific you can see all the systems bam bam bam up to the

northwest, avoiding us entirely so it looks to remain dry and temperatures will warm so it is definitely cool today compared to what's coming our way 63 san francisco's golden gate park sunset district about 62. let's keep going here for 60 pacifica 61 half moon bay, 63 for daly city. lower 60's cover the northern end of the peninsula brisbane around 6066 for burlingame and that's kind of the indicative boise, heading down south san mateo what about 6566 foster city was 67. now to do. and the south bay again sluggish for those temperatures 68 for santa clara, 16 also cupertino 69 morgan hill, los gatos at 68 east bay shoreline to the south and middle 60's 66 there 67 going on pleasanton and livermore dublin also 67 to know what 66 then dole 67 now walnut creek at 67 to but again later in the week you folks will be looking at numbers approaching about 80

by thursday friday berkeley at 61. so we see some decoupling between the east bay shoreline and the inland valleys, a touch warmer as we see in some of these valleys up here and the north bay vacaville and fairfield 6869. benicia 6561 filet o and 66 for sonoma. santa rose at 66 with petaluma chile at the marine beaches at 55 point re and 53 going on for stenson beach. there you have the 70 forecast we rocket ship right through the 70's and the lower 80's and a lot of those inland valleys like we talk about in the east bay in the north expect those 80's to return a little flavor of good solid spring coming our way late spring. enjoy it safely and and the social distancing as you were and the bay area temperatures up that could be in the upper stimilus 70's. what we do all that so you see the difference already starting to develop with all about keeping our eyes out for rain unfortunately doesn't appear to be very much of it after we get past monday morning's scattered shower
