indoor dining and hair salons are allowed to reopen let's check in with kron four's rana harvey who's live in petaluma this morning with the details rana. >>a lot of folks have been struggling with the you know at home care cutting the hair the curling the dying so i think they're pretty happy that these salons are opening back up it's been a struggle. >>robin you have no idea every time i'm out and i'm doing a story about shops reopening people always ask me or here dressers and bombers allowed to open so this is some good news for people who live in sonoma county today. businesses are already starting to open their doors out here this morning and it's just a little after 7 o'clock. you see people out running and jogging still sonoma county starting to get back into the groove of things the size retail shops opening back up. there are some other institutions just like you mentioned here salons and barbershops are on that list take a look at your screen we're going to go to that list right now in person of faith based services are also able to reopen along with into a retail shopping and dining now

door recreation business activities can also resume along with equipment rentals. now with these openings some adjustments have to be made as businesses just can't get back to usual. it cannot be for people. they're going to have to reduce the number of customers the coming to their establishment. so they're also going after a choir. face coverings for people that come in. they're also not to do temperature checks for employees so that will be interesting to see how they facilitate having people that work there have their temperatures checked. now i spoke to some people that are out already this morning, here's what they had to say about things starting to reopen out here in sonoma. >>i think people are really. you're trying to get out there and come back we live in a small town community and with that we have many you know just small shops an and hair salons and search an and i think people overall are. >>ready to experience can back into the next

antibodies to the coronavirus there will be testing for first responders those who've recovered from the virus and those have come in clone close contact with those who have recovered. they can be tested at the public health lab in santa rosa. the testing will be done every day and will eventually expand to health centers and some county hospitals. >>well happening today, san mateo county is revising its health order allowing outdoor dining and charter boat operations to resume. it also updates the guidelines for funerals social distancing must be in place in all facilities that are reopening. one of the east bay contra costa county officials continue to ease restrictions. it started last night outdoor dining is now allowed with no more than 6 people at each table dog parks can re open as long as people where their mask and practice social distancing outdoor swimming pools can reopen overnight camping. it's now ok with people in your household outdoor religious services are allowed with no more than 100

people and you can use outdoor picnic areas and barbecue areas. and a new health order will also go into effect on monday and alameda county it will allow small outdoor gatherings childcare facilities can reopen libraries can reopen for curbside pickup and certain businesses with limited person to person contact such as appliance repair and pet grooming services can also reopen again this goes into effect on monday but please continue to wear your mask and continue to practice social distancing. >>and happening today more protests over police brutality scheduled across the bay area today and that will include a march across the golden gate bridge. now according to the bridge highway and transportation district that march is set for noon today. meantime demonstrations were peaceful across the state and here in the bay area on friday. take a look at the scene friday evening in san jose has many demonstrators are gathering outside of city hall to peacefully protest and demand justice for george

floyd demonstrators were still outside of city hall as of late last night so the police were called in and dispersed the crowd without any serious and let's take look at the scene in alameda yesterday, dozens of protesters kneeling before they started marching so follow along in their cars as well demonstrators holding a black lives matter's banners. others will see or seen also carrying signs supporting the movement you can see they also chanted the names of george floyd and briana taylor as they marched. 100 people marching in pleasanton on friday afternoon, many of them carrying black lives matter signs. these protests remain peaceful as well. and in oakland, this young woman named lucy flynn is fighting for her life in the hospital after she was run over by a car as she left a demonstration in oakland nearly one week ago. take a look at the video from the scene a police are still looking for the driver of that car. the hit and run happened at the intersection of 17th

>>morning welcome back well shelter-in-place orders still in effect here in san francisco, the county health director is releasing new guidelines they allow people who don't live in the same home to get together safely. but san francisco health director doctor grant colfax says safe safer social interactions begin with wayne the benefits with the risks. he says if you decide to go out ideally you and the people you're meeting should not have any health issues that put you at a higher risk. doctor colfax also advises people to meet outdoors wearing a mask and a say 6 feet apart be sure to wash your hands and don't go if you feel sick or ill. >>and this is more information for people to to to make decisions that again reduce the risk of viral transmission. >>without colfax says the best way to slow the spread of the virus remains just simply staying at home. but if you do

i've 7.14 good morning and thanks for waking up with us it's time to check in with dave spahr get a look at the bob is driving across the bay bridge. i notice activated the high wind advisory signs the bay bridge the golden gate the benicia bridge. those trees are miller really moving around. >>yeah and you're getting a head when 2 coming out to the west of course because it's being an onshore wind and looks like it's going to be windy not just today, but also tomorrow quite breezy as well feeling more like a fall like day really been springer certainly like june after the heat spikes we had in they're going to warm by the middle of the week that you'll see in the 7 day as well so has a look up today right now we have that marine layer to kind of take but after that peels off it's up to the races and mostly sunny skies. temperatures thus far we're in the upper 50's over most of the district's 60 going on for kind of exception there but lower 50's up to the north bay and upper 50's to the south bay kind of expected with the this wind in place that keeps a lot of uniformity mixes things up quite a bit so you

don't have quite the differentiation with the heat and the temperatures that you would if you had clear skies and not much the way of winds so some last scattered clouds to make note of our forecast models tell us that we might have some scattered clouds this afternoon but mostly sunny will work to keep those inland areas, let's get to that part here in future cast for it looks pretty good today just noting a few little scattered clouds here and there looks like a little threat of some coastal sprinkles maybe perhaps overnight into sunday morning, a touch but then again going back to the mostly sunny mode for the balance of the day's the weekend looks okay sky wise but what's going to affect most people what robin was talking about will be those winds. this is what we're going to have of the afternoon and again you can see it's an onshore wind so therefore getting to the east bay it's going to be getting a nice tailwind but if you're coming out to the west of the peninsula, san francisco or elsewhere what you're going to face a bit of a head with again a onshore wind in place of the west winds, mostly in the 20's got some upper teens

and that's enough for that wind advisory for solano county and off to the delta in optics a little bit tomorrow to this is out to 6 o'clock you can see tomorrow and there you have it a northwest wind will define as being on shore but will be shifted little bit towards the northwest. no statements on this yet, but again solano counties in the statement for today, we'll see if anything pops though tomorrow let you know about that looks like something interesting for your back to work on monday. after those inland areas there in the east bay looks like bit of a wind also building as well kind of put it all to rest. so scattered clouds today, mild windy to breezy. tomorrow it's a few clouds still breezy and still sub 80 happening at we get a little break from the heat this weekend the next week warming quickly near mid 90's by wednesday, and it's just going to tap it. and then drop back again for weeks and as we head into the next weekend again dropping off. so for today, we'll call it 64 san francisco keep some scattered clouds in there when the 68 for oakland, mostly

sunny and for san jose, looking nice as good as well at 71 just a check across the greater region here will get some middle place look at the color is a shunt mostly green on the board here and some yellows but the reds are taking the weekend off they're going to be back though here we're going to check that out in the extended forecast. and look at your 4 zone as well marty affecting all right. dave, thanks a lot, let's go to the south bay this morning police arrested a man in connection with a fatal hit and run collision in san jose. >>san jose police arresting 27 year-old antonio galanos. the fatal hit and run happened along the guadalupe park, a river trail on thursday investigators say they believe belong to us was riding his bike northbound when he crossed over the center line and into the path of 2 cyclists or coming the other way 61 year-old tom foster of san jose was killed in that bicycle collision. police say the case is no different than if the accident had occurred on a public road. >>whether you're in the street

or on a trail or in any other path. you know you need to abide by the rules of the road. >>well the law most is now facing felony hit and run and manslaughter charges. >>well to the north bay of santa rosa man has been arrested after being accused of deliberately backing up his car to kill a dog owner was also injured this happened monday on las lomas road near central avenue. the sheriff also says that the driver backed up his car after the dog's owner yelled at him to slow down. juan mendoza lisa was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and felony animal cruelty. well in the east bay fire crews are working to keep an historic theater from igniting again this is the old san lorenzo theater that was burning in alameda county. the fire was extinguished by 9 last night crews were there throughout the night just putting out hot spots. it's unclear how that fire started the all san lorenzo opened up way back in 1947, but close in 1982. it

was declared a historic state resource in 2001. >>a national news this morning, fewer children are getting vaccines during this pandemic and now some lawmakers want the cdc to step in to reverse the trend basal john has latest on that. >>virginia senators tim kaine and mark warner are concerned about the declining re of child immunizations during the pandemic breaks. >>are starting to go down in a way that is very very troubling. we've got a whole lot of parents that were afraid to go to the hospital are afraid to go to their doctors and so you've got a whole cohort of kids and they didn't get vaccinated kaine and warner along with 15 other senators are asking the centers for disease control. >>to develop a plan to reverse the trend. >>what is the plan to make sure that we continue z the laudable focus that this nation has had. on vaccinations to keep families safe. both came in warner see the lack of immunizations against measles and other

standing right in front of the building when this white van this for cargo van pulled up and someone fired at them 53 year-old dave underwood was shot and killed the other officer was injured. the fbi is now looking for anyone with surveillance cameras between 7 street and west grand avenue or between webster and market streets in oakland. no arrests have been made. >>san francisco mayor london breed is announcing free coronavirus testing for anyone who has been participating in peaceful protests. she made that announcement on twitter saying the city is supporting peaceful and public protests. anyone participating regardless of where you live can register at the fillmore pop-up site for free testing. you don't have to have any symptoms to get tested. and according to johns hopkins university hospital there are more than 6 million cases of covid-19 around the world with over 395,000 deaths more than 2 million people have recovered though the u.s. has more than 1 million cases and

>>welcome back everyone bay area rents are dropping dramatically new data shows that in tech heavy cities like san francisco, the price for a one-bedroom apartment has gone down more than 9%. well that's a big drop in the decline is the lowest seen in the bay area in 3 years. >>joining san francisco, the city's a mountain view home of google cupertino home of apple and san bruno home of youtube are seen double digit rant drops rental search company zumper found that people are searching for more space and affordability in cities like sacramento, sonoma county and los angeles. number thinks it is possible for an average one-bedroom apartment in san francisco to drop below $3,000. but they say dropping all the way to $2000 a month. that's unlikely. >>is ever going to $1000 one veteran's day just go right so i mean i still think still

their doors, okay we're going to show you on your screen right now what other businesses you can expect to open up their doors today to check this out this is a the in person faith based services have they're going to be opening their doors along with indoor retail shopping and dining hair salons and barber shops like i just mentioned people can't wait for them to open their doors they are already an hour before the businesses start to open up outdoor recreation and business activities can also resume along with equipment, rentals and with these openings are going to come some changes it's not going to be business as usual what you're going to see is a reduced the number of customers also they're going to be requiring face coverings so if you do come in here to get a haircut or a different establishments don't leave home without that mask. they're also going to be asking for temperature checks for all of their employees so that's going to be interesting to see how they implement it like i mentioned talking to some people out here. residents say it about businesses reopening look that

sonoma county will start testing some people to see if they developed antibodies to the coronavirus there will be testing for first responders those who have recovered from the virus and people who have come in close contact with them. they can be tested at the public health lab in santa rosa and the testing will be done every day. it will eventually expand to health centers and some county hospitals as well. >>well happening today, san mateo county is revising its health order allowing outdoor dining and charter boat operations to resume it also updates the guidelines first funerals social distancing must be in place at all facilities that are reopening. well to the east right now contra costa county officials continue to ease restrictions. it started last night outdoor dining is now allow with no more than 6 people at each table, dog parks can reopen as long as people wear a mask and practice social distancing outdoor swimming pools can reopen and overnight camping is okay with people in your household outdoor religious services are allowed with no

more than 100 people and you can use outdoor picnic and barbecue areas. well a new health order will go into effect on monday and alameda county it will allow small outdoor gatherings childcare facilities can reopen libraries could reopen for curbside pickup and then certain businesses will you know be able to have you know limited person to person contact such as appliance repair and pet grooming services, those can re open again this goes into effect on monday. >>happening today more protests for justice are scheduled across the bay area and that includes a march across the golden gate bridge later today. according to the golden gate bridge highway and transportation district that march is set for noon. meantime demonstrations were peaceful across the state and here in the bay area as well on friday. take a look at the scene friday evening in san jose front of city hall, many demonstrators gathered outside of city hall the few peacefully protest and demand justice for george floyd

demonstrators were still there late last night so the police were called in to disperse the crowd. they did so without any serious incidents. and thus take a look at the scene in alameda where dozens of protesters were kneeling before they started marching some of them followed along in their cars as well demonstrators held a black lives matter matter banner and others were seen carrying signs supporting the movement. >>they also chanted the names of george floyd and brianna taylor as they marched. and hundreds of people marched in pleasanton friday afternoon many of them carrying black lives matter signs. these protests remained peaceful as well. >>it is a closer look at body cam video from an incident involving alameda police that's now under investigation officers were responding to a call of someone dancing in the street back on may 23rd. the interactions started all is calm until police asked the man to stand on the sidewalk and he refuse. so that's when

with a fatal hit and run collision in san jose kron four's rob fladeboe reports. >>san jose police announcing the arrest of this man 27 year old antonio bolanos in connection with a fatal hit and run collision here on the guadalupe river trail on thursday based on witness accounts and skid marks with the trail passes below tasman avenue. investigators believe the suspect was riding northbound when he crossed over the center line and into the path of 2 cyclists coming the other way as their a protein be uphill portion summer is coming down. >>the trail and the grove and the opposite side of the of the trail and collided head on. >>with the 2 victims killed was 61 year-old tom foshan to san jose. his partner a 59 year-old woman received non-life threatening injuries. another person on the trail took this photo of the suspect who fled the scene on foot. police say the case is no different than if the accident had occurred on a public road

to slow down. juan mendoza was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and felony animal cruelty. >>in the east bay fire crews are working to keep a historic theater from a 19 again. take a look at the old san lorenzo theater. it was burning alameda county yesterday the fire was extinguished by 9 o'clock last night. but crews were there throughout the night putting out hot spots. still unclear this morning, how that fire started the old san lorenzo opened back in 1947. it closed in 1982 and was declared a historic state resource in 2001. in san francisco, a grass fire forced evacuations in the city's port, errol hill neighborhood on thursday afternoon it happened near connecticut and wisconsin streets. the fire burned 2 and a half acres and people who live in that area were told by officials to leave their homes. bert harold hill recreation center was also evacuated for a time. one man was injured, but is expected to be okay the fire didn't do much damage to any

lawmakers say they want to make it easier for victims of police brutality to sue law enforcement but they say one supreme court doctrine stands in the way. >>democrats are calling to eliminate what's known as qualified immunity, it's a rule that currently shields police officers from lawsuits. our washington dc correspondent raquel martin has more on that. >>we need to hold law enforcement accountable in the wake of george floyd's death a democratic congressman lacy clay in a growing number of democrats are calling for an end to the legal doctrine they say contributes to police brutality qualified immunity needs to be. eliminated in 2014 clay louis with district with the epicenter of protests after police killed michael brown clay says the qualified immunity doctrine established by the supreme court in the 1960's shield bad cops from lawsuits and prevents justice you should not have some kind of blanket immunity. >>to commit crimes against

advisory going on for a portion of solano county the northern portion is actually not in it. not elsewhere throughout the day but look at the coverage area everybody in the bay is pretty much affected by all of it so even though you're not in the wind advisory plan accordingly with it really picking up. this afternoon and particularly this evening. late overnight it kind of subsides a little bit tomorrow morning. then fires back up again tomorrow afternoon and again tomorrow evening. and another little wave again most noticeable in those inland areas for the early morning. risers and looks like it dissipates later in the morning on your monday, so the winds will keep temperatures down a little bit today, scattered clouds coupled with that mild. then tomorrow a few clouds breezy still or sub 80 even inland. the next week warming quickly and my child or excuse me near midday 90's going on these temperatures are throwing me here. wednesday, we expect and that will be just a one-day tap because we're going back again through the remainder of

>>welcome back everyone the time is 9.44 the weekend is here we've been waiting for now let's get a check of the weather and see if we can get outside and enjoy it dave spahr has a look at the forecast 8th. >>hey good morning robin good morning, everybody looking pretty good for today, you know with the sunshine at all, but much cooler temperatures have been waiting for to shake off summer and wednesday, maybe a little agitating at times over talk about all this outdoor seating of course and everything that's a little bit of a problem maybe in some areas just to take note of here's what's going on at san jose the folks checking in here with a nice live shot of what's going on in the south bay again. some distant clouds clouds off towards the distance spent things around to s f o and no delays being reported here but as you can see from shrubbery activity there we may be having potentially some delays later on today as the winds kick up which we expect them to do

currently into the double digits in spots they are you can see it off the fairfield san francisco oakland and that big in the teens in the lower 20's that will spread out across the wider bay, even though the wind advisory covers only a small area of the bay form a lake. here's what's going on temperature wise we have the lower to middle 60's and play 62 for livermore lower 60's along the east bay shoreline 62 napa 59 for santa rosa and 50's and lower 60's. covering the peninsula across the wider state to fresno want to get up to about 80 but 79 everybody else lower to middle 60's for the central coast upper 60's down to socal. what to make note of crystal ball is now a tropical storm back up there again was actually written in from the pacific ocean. and what we expect with that is a strike on louisiana by tomorrow, it looks like by sunday projections put it about 60 mile per hour winds. by the afternoon tomorrow. there's a state of emergency because of this heavy rain is expected with that storm

surge. this doesn't become a hurricane and strength by the 4 by the what we're looking at in terms of the models but heavy rain we'll follow it at least looks like it picks up some steam moving out out of the area that accounts winds of the uptick as you can see in the afternoon and evening hours. there's the coverage area a lot of the bay areas affected by this even though officially solo outings and that wind advisory the only south bay looks to be somewhat less skates by this and want to go north west wind too so it's on shore out of the west and northwest. we do it again tomorrow, it looks like although the coverage or and maybe in the may not be as pronounced as you can see there but it still does come up a little bit and a little bit into monday morning. and those inland areas, it looks like the creature day. after that temperatures start to climb initial scene that extended forecast but today, wow what a relief 64 san francisco sunset district about 62. pacifica 59, half moon bay at 64. most of the readings along the bay side peninsula in the north or in the mid 60's. down south

jose police arrested 27 year-old antonio bolanos the fatal hit and run happened along the water loop. a river trail on thursday. investigators say they believe the belong to us was riding his bike northbound when he suddenly crossed over the center line and into the path of 2 cyclists coming the other way 61 year-old tom fossett of san jose was killed in that collision. police say the case is no different than if the accident had occurred on a public road. whether you're in the street or on a trail or in any other path. >>you know you need to abide by the rules of the road. >>well the llanos is now facing felony hit and run and manslaughter charges. national news this morning, the white house remains under scrutiny for forcibly removing peaceful protesters in washington dc last monday just before the president and members of his cabinet pose for a picture in front of an historic church and some lawmakers are now pushing to hold the president's team accountable, joe khaleel reports.
