a little bit. mike stray clouds thrown in here that marine layer kind of comes back again, this appears a bit but take a little threat may be potentially some rain trying to work in here by the end of the week, don't necessarily wait up for it looks like it's going to be fairly dry as we finish off this month. now here's a look at the 4 zone forecast for this saturday sunday is going to be different now tomorrow's going to be different. but today still remaining quite hot 84 san francisco to the coast 81 daly city with upper 70's covering most readings here we've got even some 80's here in the bay side of the peninsula 92 for burlingame down south the lower 90's 93 palo alto redwood city at 9188 for mountain view in the santa clara valley, mostly lower 90's in place, 96 morgan hill a scouse at 93 on the east bay shoreline to the south upper 80's we've got mid 90's to tri valley, dublin, 95, 96 walnut creek also conquered looks like 92 for castro valley in berkeley around 86 solano
7:47 am

pretty good at that up to the north bay 50's and 48 still reported in santa rosa, they may not be reporting this hour 64 san jose, 61 for half moon bay. we got mid-nineties going on in much of the central valley today, 84 san francisco down to the south looks like 82 for l a x 87 for san diego 69 covering big bear not much activity happening upstream we try to wait for some rain showers or even teasing us. we have a little bit of an offshore wind it looks like by tuesday developing in something interesting by the end of next year this next weekend coming up in early the following week. maybe some rain trying to we'll see if that actually comes anything together but the into a suspicious terms of looking for the rainier 84 san francisco along the coast maybe days city 81, most readings into the 70's bayside into the 80's as well burning game, it's 92 89 for foster city with more 90's heading down south 88 for mountain view. santa clara valley into

8:47 am
mask. our health expert walk is back with some more do's and don'ts this morning about that and your first tip is for those people who should not be exercising with a mask. >>correct if you have any type of health condition that includes being pregnant, you don't want to deprive the baby of oxygen. if you have diabetes a heart condition or lung condition anything where you have are compromised. >>either vascular lee or if you have very very well on your so it's basically any health issue that affects the respiratory system. exactly yeah, yeah. >>also one thing about wearing the mask when you're exercising is so many people complain of not being able to breathe a feeling. shortness of breath. >>that's correct solace what what they they've actually done a steady in the town that when you are first of all that the mask is creating resistance to air flow. yeah,
8:48 am
but they and it's not such issue if you're just walking around to the store and grocery shopping. but when you're exercising in that demand for oxygen is greater. without masses can be harder to inhale the quantity of air that you need to perform. so you're going to be it's going to be like exercising at a higher altitude for the in concentration is a lot lower. >>so just imagine you're lake tahoe, or something like this right. >>right so look at if you're feeling light headed and dizzy short of brad may even notches yeah those are symptoms to to observe and be aware of that could be. >>the just the fact that you're just not getting enough oxygen. >>and i understand care and that it gets pretty severe you could you could be as up to 20% less oxygen because of the mask. >>wright is still it would be
8:49 am
like exercising 2002 5 elevation yeah, so think it's that she keep that in mind because if you are haven't been exercising for 7 months don't go running out there and trying to do what you're doing before your body has to adapt its going to have to adapt to the fact that you haven't been doing what used to do but you're also going have to adapt to that lower concentration of oxygen in the air you know so many people want to just jump right in with both feet and just you know we feel like slugs the past several months right want to get in an exercise in your sand will wait a minute take some baby steps here. >>yes, it it and i admired the but >>still have to allow the body to adapt and adapt slowly because you can get other things you when you haven't been exercising for a while
8:50 am
you could experience some heart also dehydration is a big thing first a lot of people going to exercise dehydrated, but also if you are. >>our exercising supposedly at a high altitude where year ref your respiratory rate is higher going to be losing a lot more water. so keep that in mind though, but blood pressure low blood sugar, those are also symptoms of something more serious not necessarily. the fact that you're not getting enough oxygen. so really observe some of these other health effects because it could be underlying with its it could be something more serious than just the exercise. >>you know one thing that you mentioned as well is to know when to stop exercising the night goes that fits in perfectly what you're saying about really paying attention to what your body is telling you. >>right really observe i i like to use that perceived a level of his exertion in rate
8:51 am
that he should be able to add a low to moderate intensity you should be able to talk while you're exercising. but when you get into the more vigorous level you can still talk but you're not going to really want to but if you get to a point where you just cannot talk you can't even spit out more than a couple words that's too high you really need to dial it back and to start out start out more at a moderate level don't try and do those high intensity training exercises that you might have been able to do before especially now with that mask on yeah. >>well this really comes into into play with a high intensity interval training that so many that is so popular right now which really pushes your your respiratory system. for short hits right. >>exactly and your muscles haven't been they aren't usually either. so there the demand for oxygen is going to be even greater at that point. so. >>really kind of take it easy
8:52 am
give yourself a break at the beginning. >>one of the thing to keep in mind is that in all of our attention right now has been on wearing a mask the other thing we haven't talked about and social distancing. while you're at the gym. >>right and some of the gyms are kind of taking that in under control they're they're limiting how many people can be in the gm and release spacing everything out. but yes that's still important to. >>yes, so the bottom line here. karen is what. >>the bottom line is take into consideration. what your own health health status is. >>and if you are like he's like i said if you have any kind of health condition, maybe you need to exercise on your own exercise outside where you don't have to wear masks. >>but anyway, every taken individually and take it slow. yeah, okay. >>take it slow really hard to do, it can be lifesaving karen. thank you so much for

but i can't say i expected this. to fight these fires, we need funding - plain and simple. for this crisis, and for the next one. prop 15 closes tax loopholes so rich corporations pay their fair share of taxes. so firefighters like me, have what we need to do the job, and to do it right. the big corporations want to keep their tax loopholes. it's what they do. well, i do what i do. if you'ld like to help, join me and vote yes on prop 15. it's rising. the pain is coming.

gym as well and that includes exercising while wearing a mask. our health expert walk is back with some more do's and don'ts this morning about that and your first tip is for those people who should not be exercising with a mask. >>correct if you have any type of health condition that includes being pregnant, you don't want to deprive the baby of oxygen. if you have diabetes a heart condition or lung condition anything where you have are compromised. >>either vascular lee or if you have very very well on your so it's basically any health issue that affects the respiratory system. exactly yeah also one thing about wearing the mask when you're exercising is so many people complain of not being able to breathe a feeling. >>shortness of breath. >>that's correct solace what what they they've actually done a steady in the town that when you are first of all that

the mask is creating every assistance to air flow. yeah, but they and it's not such issue if you're just walking around to the store and grocery shopping. but when you're exercising in that demand for oxygen is greater without masses could be harder to inhale the quantity of air that you need to perform. so you're going to be it's going to be like exercising at a higher altitude in concentration is a lot lower. >>so just imagine you're lake tahoe, or something like this right. >>right so look at if you're feeling light headed and dizzy short of brad may even notches yeah those are symptoms to to observe and be aware of that could be. >>the just the fact that you're just not getting enough oxygen. >>and i understand care and that it gets pretty severe you could you could be as up to 20% less oxygen because of the

mask. >>wright is still it would be like exercising 2002 5 elevation yeah, so think it's that she keep that in mind because if you are haven't been exercising for 7 months don't go running out there and trying to do what you're doing before your body has to adapt its going to have to adapt to the fact that you haven't been doing what used to do but you're also going have to adapt to that lower concentration of oxygen in the air you know so many people want to just jump right in with both feet and just you know we feel like slugs the past several months right want to get in an exercise and you're saying well wait a minute take some baby steps here. >>yes, it it and i admired the but >>still have to allow the body to adapt and adapt slowly because you can get other

things you when you haven't been exercising for a while you could experience some heart also dehydration is a big thing first a lot of people going to exercise dehydrated, but also if you are. >>our exercising supposedly at a high altitude where year ref your respiratory rate is higher going to be losing a lot more water. so keep that in mind little blood pressure low blood sugar, those are also symptoms of something more serious not necessarily. the fact that you're not getting enough oxygen. so really observe some of these other health effects because it could be underlying with its it could be something more serious than just the exercise. >>you know one thing that you mentioned as well is to know when to stop exercising the night goes that fits in perfectly what you're saying about really paying attention to what your body is telling you. >>right really observe i i like to use that perceived a

level of his exertion in rate that he should be able to add a low to moderate intensity you should be able to talk while you're exercising. but when you get into the more vigorous level you can still talk but you're not going to really want to happen if you get to a point where you just cannot talk you can't even spit out more than a couple words that's too high you really need to dial it back and to start out start out more at a moderate level don't try and do those high intensity training exercises that you might have been able to do before especially now with that mascot and yeah. >>well this really comes into into play with a high intensity interval training that so many that is so popular right now which really pushes your your respiratory system. for short hits right. >>exactly and your muscles haven't been they aren't usually either. so there the demand for oxygen is going to be even greater at that point.
9:52 am
so. >>really kind of take it easy give yourself a break at the beginning. >>one of the thing to keep in mind is that in all of our attention right now has been on wearing a mask the other thing we haven't talked about and social distancing. while you're at the gym. >>right and some of the gyms are kind of taking that in under control they're they're limiting how many people can be in the gm and release spacing everything out. but yes that's still important to. >>yes, so the bottom line here. karen is what. >>the bottom line is take into consideration. what your own health health status is. >>and if you are like he's like i said if you have any kind of health condition, maybe you need to exercise on your own exercise outside where you don't have to wear masks. >>but anyway, every taken individually and take it slow. yeah, okay.
