geography upper 50's and 60's for highs. hello and then for this week sun and clouds cool and looks like some showers possible for thursday into friday, good news is the later model run up here tells us that things might actually start to clear up by the weekend. so that's good news there again scattered showers are possible saturday, but dry on sunday cool 60's remain, today's forecast, i'm putting these clouds up here really for parts of the east bay in the south bay but we're talking mostly sunny, san francisco. chilly at 58 60 going on for oakland, mostly sunny breezy. and san jose got some scattered clouds and again that isolated shower most likely i think that will be in the higher elevations like mount mount hamilton highs today there you have them still some 50's out there in the east this is presumption that we get maybe a little showers you can see off the far east bay, 64 oakland and again upper 50's lining up the east bay shoreline next couple days. it's more of the same we shake off these clouds kind of dry out early next week that offshore dry cool chilly wind.

brown girls across the united states hundreds of people out here celebrating in front of her child at home. and it's so incredible to know that this is where the inspiration and the preparation and all those dreams first started they left flowers and chalk messages in front of the home but couple years was born actually in oakland california but raised here in berkeley and as you know she spent many of her years learning and growing here, but also experience a lot of history herself. here is talked about how in kindergarten she was actually blast from this home as a part of berkeley's desegregation program to this school was show you this is 1000 oaks elementary school here in this was a public school in northern berkeley. now the bus and continued into the school's black student body population increased significantly. she's gone on to achieve so much more like graduated from howard university. a law degree from the university of california hastings becoming the district attorney of san francisco.

elected as the first african-american and first woman to serve as california's attorney general and becoming a senator for california now like you mentioned, so many people caught up in the history of this moment, it's much bigger than politics for a lot of people and we spoke to some residents, here's what they had to say. >>i saw indians and other asians and of minority groups breakthrough in silicon valley, but that was men and i saw obama breakthrough and that was a man and now for kamala harris, a woman to break through i think that's it is new ground in time extremely for caller to have her as a role model. >>now marty during college speech last night and we played a little bit of that before 40 she talked about how, although she's the first woman. she certainly won't be the can you imagine, seen an image like that on the screen

longer range forecast models for yet another opportunity for seeing some showers check it out live shot coming in from half moon bay, as we often say anna makes me put on some wind breakers are some sweaters because it will be plenty chile. stormtracker well we got this low in our backyard, not doing much as kind of cut off the main source of moisture. we're now getting more of the backside of the low, so therefore we're not going to get as much the way of lift now we do have the possibility of maybe seeing a stray shower work its magic in portions of the east bay, let's jump right now the forecast models. later today, we get the daytime heating might see a little bit of a stray shower going on pick those higher elevations mount hamilton, maybe perhaps that's really about yet stray clouds thrown out also it looks like for portions of the east bay in the south bay to that space in a denver to the forecast what's going to most people today will be mostly sunshine and those strong. what is now onshore winds the arrows coming from the northwest going forward quite a bit of the way the winds still hanging with us that's why the

wind advisories with us till 4 7 o'clock this start to subside a little bit. now they're start to change the direction going forward here. yeah from the north in the little bit of the northeast to appear solano county napa as we go forward into tomorrow morning into the afternoon a bit so this is the left over winds that will be more offshore to kind of monitor it a touch a little bit because that will dry us out even the winds are temperatures are somewhat on the cool side or as we go forward with our temperatures were in the 50's 40's for the most part inland you get your water were in the mid-fifties going on here 54 san francisco, 54 for hayward so the game plan is this we've got mostly sunny cool and breezy an addendum to this note, maybe some scattered clouds in the east bay upper 50's 60's for highs everybody going on this week sun and clouds mixture but cool showers thursday friday, it looks like for today and that also means we're front ending that to the weekend may look pretty good next weekend next weekend scattered showers saturday. it's a question mark and then dry on sunday with

pictures some crying here so a lot of emotions this morning, but this is your child at home she was born in oakland but spent many of her formative years here in berkeley, growing and learning and dreaming and setting her goes very high. but a lot of other things happen here as well she was also a part of the effort to d segregate school. she was a part of the berkeley desegregation program and that took her to 1000 oaks elementary school we're going to show you that school. this was a public school in northern berkeley and now this busing continue here until the school's black student body population increase significantly. now she's gone on to achieve so much more we go graduate of howard university and the university of california hastings becoming district attorney ernie of san francisco elected as the first african-american and first woman to serve as california's attorney general and becoming a senator for california. the second african-american woman and for south asian american sen in

everybody we're dealing with kind of a blustery sunday this morning and we'll be dealing with that into the afternoon to wind advisory covering a good piece of real estate across the bay area again this will be until 4 not our areas are in this however we see some of the lower lying areas such as also slow county really not into this but it's the higher elevations as you'll notice peninsula, you're all in this in the east bay shoreline is included in that as well as those inland spots, valleys and so forth. now we see the beautiful picture coming in yeah, this half moon bay beautiful day to get out ever plan accordingly with a windbreaker or sweater temperatures mostly into the 50's we've graduated out of the 40's from last hour. temperatures are actually racing ahead of where they were from this time yesterday will do about 54 at high noon by 3 o'clock it 55 not a lot of temperature movement. although we're projecting some lower 60's out there for highs today and maybe an ice of shower to the east bay and moving on through some of the mountains, maybe it's perhaps like mount hamilton, as the

shower potentially and some variable clouds but on balance we'll keep it mostly sunny for a good chunk of the bay going on for today you can see for yourself. the projections are going forward. there's an interesting little wrinkle that comes acrosi the bay area you can see there by mid-afternoon into the evening hours jolie on balance looks fairly clear the next kind of little wrinkle that happens is tuesday. but we're really waiting on thursday for some more exciting things to happen. that's get to the winds with the wind advisory we're now in a good onshore wind event here out of the northwest readings in the 30's and the 40's in some cases so that will continue next few hours get to about 08:00pm or so that starts to taper off the advisory will be lifted at that point towards projected to do so appear interesting enough in solano county in napa might see a little shift there it is from the north and we might get a little bit of a temporary offshore wind and that actually is going to import more cooler air down here so we're not going to see any real warming happening for much of the week ahead and just finishing this off you can see the winds do some funny subside temperature

check when the 50's over most of the real estate here 49 billy whoa, mid to lower 50's over most of the real estate so this is we have going on here mostly sunny cool and breezy with upper 50's lower 60's projected as highs for the week ahead. it's sun and clouds mixture cool. the wrinkles a mention on tuesday, there showers thursday into friday is what it looks like so that's where we're kind of waiting we sort of front load that because there's a little chance maybe on saturday. but the weekend looks to be pretty decent so maybe we just get that rain and thursday and friday and the paracels a pretty decent weekend forecast today, 58 san francisco oakland at 60 59 coming in for san jose across the broader real estate, this is what we're looking at mostly upper 50's some lower 60's of course we'll take a better look at that in the 4 zone forecast to get to that extended as well. >>i said at the outset. i wanted to represent this campaign to represent him look like america. we've done now

with a heavy emphasis on executive actions. these are actions that any president can take unilaterally and in president elected by has already announced that he intends on day one or very soon to rejoin the paris climate accord to re engage with the world health organization to rescind the travel and 6 several other actions, including very possibly a really engaging the dhaka program for for docking undocumented immigrants who came here as children. >>donna there is obviously a runoff that's going to be happening in georgia for the senate seat there if the republicans do hold on to senate control how do you see the the 2 parties working together as we go forward. it's a really interesting situation if democrats win the 2 seats in georgia that would actually flip control of the chamber and the nation's politics would change a lot.
