moisture. the ground level. sun comes out of causes of operation and fills up some of those patches up there in the sky we may even get couple raindrops nap at here is an emotion. you can see a couple little false echoes that are showing up again stray showers still possible live shot from u c berkeley as we take a look at the east bay shoreline started to clear up just a touch but still a z certainly off to the distance, golden gate, this is particularly the area where it's kind of a fog trap, but this is a different type of fog so we see some blew out to the distance as you'll notice here and getting some sun from the close view of the golden gate all those temperatures mid 50's kind of average up to the north lower 50's 48 santa rosa, 50 palo alto 51 center of a san jose and 54 tri valley. so going forward with future cast for here again a couple of stray showers do appear, but by the late day it looks like we're going into earnest. clearing sort of want to make note of this deck of clouds that starts to fill up from the south that will basically cut across and covers parts of the

east bay and the south bay. getting all the way out to sunday after sunset, although you might start to see some of those high clouds building in late in the day on sunday might be from sunset stu as we get into sunday night here come some earnest rain moderate to heavy and with this low still spinning by monday morning looks like we'll be dealing with still some substantial rain on the board there clearing out as the morning. progresses, so variable clouds will call it today. an early shower here and there mild call with upper 50's lower 60's for sunday, seeing clouds and sun but probably more sun we're seeing clouds are in them today, showers rain late that is after sunset going on even though it's going to be that that late it's going to be after sunset and then for next weekend it saw heard next week rather excuse me early on monday, some of those leftover showers there looks to be another dose kind of by thursday friday, but a heavier smack into the weekend. it looks like and that's going to set a pattern for you no more systems coming our way throughout early into the following week so we're getting in or what season here, 64 fresno right now 59,

california has more than 3 times that amount available just above 16% of beds are still available in the greater sacramento region. but hospitals in the san joaquin valley and southern california regions remain at 0%. in the meantime california health officials are now trying to determine who is going to get the next round of vaccines. after frontline medical workers they say it will likely include those who work in education and child care emergency services in agriculture as well as those 75 and older after them those who work in critical manufacturing industrial commercial facilities and transportation or in discussion to receive their shots state does expect to distribute between 2, 2, and a half million doses by the first week of january. as those talks continue jobless benefits for millions of americans expired this morning. this all comes after president trump refused to sign a 900 billion dollar covid relief bill. the president stunned even his own staff when he turns down the

proposed bill which included direct a $600 checks to most americans. but the president says he wants those payments to be $2000. democrats agree with that republicans though do not the bill is tied to a one 0.4 trillion dollar government spending deal. if the president doesn't sign it by tuesday a partial government shutdown will go into effect. the president did tweet this morning in response to the delay saying i simply want to get out great people $2000 rather than the measly $600 that is now in the bill also stop the billions of dollars in part. he says is a lot of extra stuff in those bills that he doesn't want to see in there. the california highway patrol's maximum enforcement period is in full effect it will last through sunday evening officers are going to be out in force over the next couple of days just looking for reckless drivers or those who might be under the influence kron four's reyna harvey joins us now live

the next dose of the heavier stuff comes our way. >>stormtracker 4 showing some rain showers and snow off towards our east up in the sierra. >>another dose happening up there and by the way they're going to be involved the program happening sunday night into monday, so new watches warnings all that stuff will be populating and coming out here. but again for right now again taking a breather upstream there's an interesting deck of clouds that will play into the forecast and to tonight. that's really the south bay parts of the peninsula and the east bay as well. here's a live shot coming in from timber on looks like a some kind of dark leveled off to the distance there, but blue skies we're sharing this with us to some kind of this variable cloudy scenario. the clouds are different in different locations at different times and so forth and what we have is all the surface moisture that evaporates and produces more that cloud cover upstairs a little bit. here's what happens with the fog and ice to clear up job we have in the afternoon. but then tonight tomorrow morning we'll have a regeneration happening around the delta now that is still the leftover surface moisture. although we get this advection

fog as you notice usually in san francisco, but we do have bit of an offshore wind that's in place there all right temperatures check and into the middle to upper 50's right now on the east bay shoreline 51 santa rosa even inland, they're catching up a little bit indicating they're seeing some clearing happening there 56 antioch of 54 livermore also for san jose and 55 foreign let's run through this here the rain like we've been talking about is pretty much done working on clearing out those skies. here's this deck of cloud cover that takes us after sunset to around the witching hour or so, but it does clear up in time for our sunday and we get this little break here just for most of the daylight hours which looks good. and then by sunday night here come some moderate to heavy rain showers most of which the bulk will play out for the overnight hours. and then monday morning will be greeted with the patches of the rain again, sometimes moderate at times and certainly those have are a higher elevations and then some spotty showers later on during monday morning sort of be tapering off like today,

although maybe just a tad later that rain may linger into monday after that we take another break until the latter portion of the week and it's here. the running of timing issues that looks nice on this run here in terms of that first we'll get to what's going on sunday night monday that plays out, here's our breather break and then here comes another one this happening wednesday night into thursday morning, another nice timing issue. however we don't have total agreement on that as we get further out sometimes the models start to pick up a little bit so we'll see as we get closer and there's more as we get into the next weekend after the new year here on saturday afternoon. and yes more for sunday, wait there's more we open up the door here so we got a lot of stuff in the pacific air monday night into tuesday looks like real juicy low coming away so we'll be getting some more rain and mountain snows continue as well let's get to 4 zone forecast not a lot of variety going on with mid to upper 50's and lower 60's do it that's what's going to happen during house 54 alcatraz 57 marina district around 60 daily city pacific at 56.
