today, lots of sunshine going on as we get into early afternoon late afternoon evening boom here it comes. now this is really the making of a low pressure system it's a cut off lows are saying that race so it doesn't have as much moisture is some of these other storm systems that we get at some times poll in that subtropical moisture away we go. that's good news to avoid flooding now so that's why you haven't heard about any flash flood watch talk with this because amounts look like they have dropped from our perspective a little bit but make no mistake about it the models agree it's common that will be for tonight overnight, here's the hip boom around the bay area. already by 06:00am from our perspective clearing up with the heavier stuff remaining to the south and then the whole bay area with some last minute showers looks pretty good as we go into the afternoon hours and seeing some sunshine. mountain yeah, they're going continue up there in the sea air all day. now for the winds to kind of interesting to watch this. we don't get always the typical type of strong northwest winds 10 program. this being the cut off lower actually seeing a lot of offshore winds know
7:17 am
obviously this is bringing rain and so it's not a concern we always say offshore we get little nervous. but that's just the direction we're seeing the winds in the teens you can see and they kind of bounce around that low now moving to the southeast of us from our perspective in the winds come out of the north as we get into tuesday morning. so partial afternoon clearing we're expecting for today, cool temperatures upper 50's lower 60's. so for tonight, rain and showers heaviest 4 main south and also the heavier amounts beyond that will be in monterey bay more so than even santa cruz mountains then for this week, monday early showers we clear on out and wednesday night to thursday morning. there's another batch of showers in more upstream perhaps into the following weekend. for today. we do about 58 san francisco, but on the cool side, but it is winter 64 san jose and 59 going on for coming up a little bit while the 4 zone forecast for you. it also check into the extended to noel. >>save happening tomorrow. a new travel restriction goes into effect for people heading from the uk into the u.s.

to make vaccinations mandatory since tracking compliance could become an administrative burden as a result, many employers will likely just strongly encourage vaccination without making it requirement. another question many have is when will children be able to get vaccinated the pfizer vaccine authorized in the u.s. is for ages, 16 and up testing on children as young as 12 did begin in october. but that's expected to take several more months the food and drug administration will have to decide when there's enough data to allow emergency use in the younger age group depending on those results younger children may be enrolled for the study as well, but so far it's uncertain if those results on younger children will come in time for vaccinations to begin before the next school year. all right coming up on the kron 4 morning news, a bay area business owner on the brink of closing her restaurant. >>why she hopes the county loosens restrictions on outdoor dining soon so they
