8:15 am
to some beautiful beautiful dusting of snow out there so attack uhler and it's a holiday weekend. so folks are going to enjoy 3 days. yes, a beautiful weather up there exactly dave how long are we in for some precipitation out here in the bay looks like just few more hours and they will clear out until more is expected of looks like on monday proper here now. >>just noting still some showers going on as you'll notice on radar just a touch there, but again that will be clearing out as the day starts to progress a little bit as we get past the mornings as far as we're looking at live shot coming in from sfo. we have some raindrops that are still on there. but the fog is not causing any delays with any of that so we're still in a couple of those raindrops on the sfo cam and things will be improving into the afternoon. meanwhile, the live shot coming in from half moon bay. if we can check into that there we go we have cloudy skies, you'll notice off to the distance there and that too will improve as the day starts to wear on bay area temperatures meanwhile we're in the lower to middle 50's 56
8:16 am
for open 52 san francisco got 50's up to the north bay santa rosa hasn't moved 48 because they all this cloud cover overnight. we didn't get a lot of cooling a lot of service moisture and all that so it produced a lot of fog and kept those temperatures a little bit upwards now going forward into the fund the forecast period we see the skies open up a bit for this afternoon noting some cloud cover still lingering then tomorrow we're kind of a mixture of clouds and sun focusing on the thickness up north okay and a couple rain bands of some showers on sunday night try to sneak downward but the really big show will be into monday looks like now the winds are still going to be with us today whipping in some locations in the 30's, you'll notice early for woday into the early afternoon. so even those skies will open up a bit we'll still have those winds. not as windy into tomorrow that will still remain out of the northwest a westerly direction as well looks like with all of that now is the breakdown with the fog and as mentioned earlier, here's the east bay shoreline. early fog today, clouds a few showers partial afternoon clearing tomorrow, variable clouds

8:20 am
rearview mirror and part of that is that they want to go gently into that fair when on a vote tomorrow because they're worried about getting primary from the right. but also this means that donald trump while he will be the only president ever impeached twice that probably does put a nail in his political coffin so to speak it's going to be very difficult for him to move forward as a nominee for 2024 and many republicans privately are quite happy about that. >>another developing story we are following today, organizers behind the effort to recall governor newsome claim they've collected the number of signatures needed to get a special election on the ballot. that's one and a half million signatures. the claim though still needs to be verified by the secretary of state's office before a recall election can actually become official the group plans to continue gathering signatures up until the mid march deadline. their goal is to get one 0.8 million petitions in order to account for a potential rejection rate of roughly 25% during the verification process marty. >>white house press secretary
