aloft. it's all clear. so that tells us we get the sun up. we're going to get mixed out. so won't be here for very long, but it will return tomorrow morning. interesting >> because we have a little change in the weather pattern. there you see a look at the golden gate. it just spoken up to steer from the shot from timber on and of course, spilling across the bay again, very close to the ground level up close and personal. you see the fog covering the roadway of the golden gate. and that's a probably the case through a lot of a lot of the bridges around the bay. we're looking at rather perimeter. the bay 39 chilly degrees for a half moon bay and 38 up santa rosa. but again, most readings at least are in the 40's for comparison sake. we're a little bit warmer than this time from yesterday and will probably do that. well, inland later today as i mentioned, that marine layer is pretty strong this morning. that will be strong again tomorrow morning. there's that front to the north that's going to drive a little temporary onshore. wind will kind of break that down for you then actually interesting a little offshore by monday afternoon. there's the fog again off to the distance. you can see how it's hugging the bay. we've

got 66 going on 11 o'clock by to 76 pretty similar to yesterday, maybe a couple degrees better well inland and then some changes into next week. we'll look at that forecast in a bit. >> want everybody get together to stop the hate crime. we are not the all life matters. >> hundreds of people marched through the streets saturday calling for an end to the violence against asian americans and more rallies are planned for today for months, kron 4 has been tracking the rise in violence against members of the asian american and pacific islander community. >> during this pandemic. now a bay area group is looking to keep senior member safe by giving them a low tech tool that they say can make a difference. kron four's amanda hari has the details. >> they're giving out whistles. the organizer tells me whistles create a lot of noise and that could catch someone else. the tension or scare the person that may be trying to hurt the other person that's wearing that whistle. you know, they feel a little safer.

>> going out. by because with all the crimes against asians right now. it's it's scary organizer. he alvarado morris says she came up with the we come together whistle drive. well, online looking through a moms group. >> she said another mother brought up concerns about her asian parents. parents were afraid. >> to go out and how can we help people in the group suggested pepper spray but alvarado morris was concerned that it could be dangerous to the user. so she came up with another idea i bought 2 winter was originally as she told people about the whistle concept. there was more and more interest by data. we had a 1000 whistles. >> and then by day 3, when we me for 5,000 whistles. people are donating money and their time to help with the whistle drive. >> currently they have about 45 volunteers. >> and over. adam morris says she was in chinatown herself, handing out whistles to asian

residents who have awaited access to a covid-19 vaccine i've waited for almost 2 months. the state has identified the island as a priority for vaccinations to meet state equity goals on saturday. the ship shape community center. welcome to island residents only for their first of 2 shots administered by members of the san francisco fire department. and so happy. when i saw them, i got my vaccine had tears in my eyes because. >> happy tears because i just it's been such a long year and i'm so happy this community has felt like they haven't been well served and they've been very grateful that we're here today to help them ease residents are being inoculated with the moderna vaccine. the san francisco department of public health providing 100 doses. and as the residents done, the vendors merchants who are on the island are next on our list. outreach to make sure that this zip code gets covered treasure island ranks in the lower end of the state's healthy places, index and access to health care.

antioch, even the north bay has improved from yesterday. 43 for napa. 41 a bottle of those still chilly at the santa rosa 3848. meanwhile, down to san jose futurecast for we sometimes try to look at this in terms of seeing some cloud cover for next system getting here. it's very uneventful impact of the showing it today because tomorrow goodbye what you can't see a little bit is that marine layer that will be here. so we're going to do the fog thing again tomorrow morning. the flow pattern will be a bit more on shore and we'll show you the winds in a second. then there's an interesting switch that's get to those winds first folder on shore going on for monday morning. there it is about 11 o'clock here. the arrows we have kind of on shore up are in sonoma county but solano county. there's that little pocket of some offshore winds become a little bit more pronounced in the afternoon. now during this period. now temperatures will dive a little bit. they're going to be as warm as they were from yesterday. winds are kind of interrupting heating of that. this is just a hiatus because we're jumping back to that later on next week. let's measure the moisture levels here. marine layer comes back

by tonight. there you can see it going up the base. so that's good news. quickly dissipating. this is tomorrow afternoon. all the east bay up the solano county. those humidity levels drop to the lower teens and even the single digits and they stick around. looks like for the afternoon and even overnight into tuesday morning. so putting it all together with the a bit of fog down beneath us here. sunny and warm happening inland 60's at the coast near about 80 inland. i don't think we'll see too many of those today, at least tomorrow slightly cooler with 60's and 70's. pretty much the ball game going on here. we have breezy offshore winds developing late will be on shore in the morning. but then more offshore for the afternoon next week. it's warming by midweek and 80's inland for wednesday into thursday. it looks like there's some rain try to develop into next weekend. a little change in the weather pattern. we talked about long range looks like there's some evidence of that. the intensity is what kind of remains in question here. 66 san francisco 71 for oakland 77 for san jose across the

wider board. everybody tries to make it there. as you can see, 79 conquered in antioch. 76 going on for santa rosa coming up in a little bit. of course, we'll have that 4 zone forecast for you and the extended martina. well, all right, dave, thanks a lot. back to the news this morning we're learning about a series of deadly shootings in virginia. >> learning more about that. 2 people were killed, 8 others were injured. police arrested 3 people. but now there are questions about why an officer who fatally shot a man during these incidents did not turn on his body camera temer. scott has latest for us. >> the first violent incident at the oceanfront started at the intersection of atlantic and 20th. we know now know that started out as a physical fight. an argument into a physical fight. point escalated into virginia beach. officer was on scene at the time and assisted the detective bureau in arresting 3 people for that incident. that injured 7 people. 22 on adams 18 year-old mike was

baker in 20 year-old, yvonne dorsey junior are facing assault and firearm charges next was the shooting on 19th street that killed 29 year-old to sheila harris and injured another. there are no material updates at this point. there are no arrests at this time. >> we do believe that she truly is at this point in time and it is a victim. there was probably struck by stray gunfire. and lastly, the police involved shooting that killed 25 year-old donovan lynch. >> the commonwealth's attorney's office is overseeing the criminal investigation by virginia beach police. they say they don't have a lot of answers. there was a firearm recovered. >> in the vicinity of where this incident occurred chief neudigate says there is no evidence at this time that supports lynch having a gun on him at the time. he was shot. >> or if the gun found belong to him and there's no body cam footage. officer was wearing a body cam. for unknown reasons at this point in time. it was not activated.

>> that was hammer. scott reporting for us this morning of the 8 people who were injured, those injuries ranged from serious to life threatening. >> and still ahead this morning on the kron 4 morning news, a group of unoccupied. unaccompanied migrant girls are now being housed in california. some people are not happy about it. we'll have that story coming up.

>> welcome back. 7.24 here on this sunday morning. and a large group of unaccompanied migrant girls are waking up at a shelter in the sand at the san diego convention center this morning. those girls who arrived from texas will be housed at the convention center temporarily. this comes during a surge of migrants at the southern border. >> gore. chuck has the latest. >> think in el salvador. she's hoping that her girl finds people like this to take care of emotions run high as 500 girls seeking asylum arrive at the san diego convention center saturday night coming from overcrowded border detention facilities. these are all girls that are coming here as you probably know, girls have particular dangers when they travel here glory announced the convention center is taking an exclusively migrant girls aged 13 to 17 the federal government is footing the bill for the operation set to run

until early july. the girls will be provided beds. food showers, medical care, legal services and an outdoor play area. >> and will not be allowed to leave until they reunite with family or sponsor while they wait the hearing. this is not a incarceration facility, but this is a place for reconnection to family. >> and we'll be as transparent as we possibly can be with the general public us house already passed 2 bills on immigration reform is currently working on more. >> lawmakers say the shelter is not a long-term solution here today and over the next few months, months is not to fix all that this is an act of compassion neighbor to neighbor, though some disagree saying san diego should focus on his own people. first operation shelter to home, previously at the convention center was set to end this month and homeless san diegans were relocated to local shelters if they really, really truly cared for people they can walk around our sidewalk right here. any part of san diego. we have mentally ill. we have elderly. we have our vets all sleeping outside on the sidewalks. >> why aren't they being helped like this coming year. i saw some. >> some voices of hate and

>> good morning. welcome back. 7.30. right on the nose on this sunday morning. and things looking pretty nice depending on where you are in the bay area. exactly right behind us here. the embarcadero it's absolutely gorgeous. but we do know there's some fog sticking around elsewhere. dave spahr has got all of the details for us. dave, how long is it going to stay around the just a couple of hours and it's a pretty much very much at the ground level. it's not really too far aloft. so with the sun out. this will mix out pretty quickly for us. we're going to repeat this again for tomorrow. however, and we're looking for temperatures to be reduced a little bit more. so. there you see it kind of a ground level or close to it. that is certainly down the bay. it's a hovering right there near the water's edge.

47 that's a sour oakland and san francisco, a chilly 38 up to santa rosa and also half moon bay at 39 now elsewhere, as you can see in the 40's we've got 50 going on for antioch. this is a little warmer than yesterday. however, even a locations like up in the north bay that were very much challenge yesterday morning. they recovered 4 this morning now looks like tomorrow will be a little cooler and then will be warming up in the next week. winds, by the way, they're going to be on shore building tonight and tomorrow which will actually help out with some of that fog tomorrow morning. but then by the afternoon that's going to switch more offshore. there you see it's filling up the valley or the flooded valley the bay. we call it now 66 at 11 o'clock at 2. we're at 76 under sunny skies going to see a lot of the sun coming up this week ahead. but we have a nice warm-up and i'll get into that in a bit. you know well and marty. >> thanks, dave. an east bay community is rallying around an ice cream vendor after he was attacked and robbed while on the job. kron four's dan thorn talked with the man and his neighbors who are helping to get the victim. >> back up on his feet. >> look at how the lift, our

people ya the rug them a random over card over neighborhood. ice cream man is attacked and robbed in oakland. this video shot by a concerned neighbor shows the car smashed apart and the victim left shaken. the first shock was just seeing him like, oh, that's our neighborhood. ice pollack you know, case of money. want to thank you and you know, he says he took the video and shared these pictures to get the word out about what happened. victim, hector hernandez. pitino says he was pushing his car along harper street and crosby avenue. friday afternoon when 3 men jumped out of their car, demanded ice cream and then smashed their car into his car to look at. you see a little bit. don't know nc mother is a and movements end people. department is an immigrant from mexico and he says he's been working as a for more than a decade during the attack. his back was injured. but the real pain he says is losing his livelihood. they

return to the classroom in the mount diablo unified school district. that district welcomed back k through second grade last thursday. 3rd through 12th graders. will be ollowed to return tomorrow. the students we'll be taking part in a hybrid learning plan that combines in person and distance. learning. >> and also in the east bay, the castro valley unified school district will be entering its 3rd phase of reopening 3rd through 5th graders will be allowed to return to the classroom on monday. the district aims to bring all grades black back with a hybrid model by april 12th man full-time classroom learning could happen by august. national news this morning. president biden says the u.s. justice department is taking a closer look at georgia's new elections law that some claim limits voter access. our kron 4 washington, dc court, course, pond. kelli meyer has the latest on that. >> the tri-cities president joe biden is calling georgia's new election law. jim crow in the 21st century. the sweeping

kind of entrenched there right at the water's edge of filling up the bay itself that again, will mix out as the morning starts to wane on. we're going to do the same thing again for tomorrow. but we'll have little bit of a thrust going on of a strong onshore wind going on overnight. and tomorrow morning. good thing is no delays out of sfo. the not really game changer but the interrupt this. yeah. up to the north here. there you see kind of a line that little front. the most people are going to notice the winds to get the coast could be a little breezy on short stuck in the morning hours, but actually well inland. we'll start to see an offshore wind develop on the backside of all of this. that will be for monday afternoon into tuesday. temperature we dropped in a bottle with 3938 for santa rosa. but most other readings across the wider bay are in the 40's. we have 50 going on for antioch. meanwhile, 48 san jose. speaking of that fog that's do this again tomorrow morning. this is tonight now with the fog redeveloping that san francisco east bay shoreline fills up the east bay shoreline spills out of the santa clara valley by 7 in the morning and then quickly

>> and one of the other tips that you have up on the screen while we're looking at here is to address the stress. that is to figure out what's causing the stress in order to lesson. >> right. you really have to find out what it is that is causing you to eat number one key to addressing stress eating is to first be aware of that. a lot of people don't even know that they're doing it. then they'll say i i told myself i'm not going to eat cookies anymore. but i just have this in this insatiable desire for cookies and not really realizing what it is. that's driving that that that desire so logging and keeping a journal in writing down what they're craving as well as what they're feeling. >> you're a big proponent of eating mindfully. let's touch on that. what does that mean? >> so that means paying so paying attention to your food.

turning off all those distractions number will end tv. >> and the and take out your air pods just really sit down and focus on what you're eating. >> you know, food eating is a a full sensory a lot of times we are shoveling down our food in really not taking paying attention to what we're eating and how much we're eating and why we're eating. >> one thing. you mentioned as well as to allow more time to eat so many times we feel rushed or we rush through our meal. and that's one of the reasons that we not only gain weight, but we can't even remember what we had. >> right. and that's another form of distracted eating because we're brushing off may be driving and eating a lot of people telling me they even the car. they ate their breakfast and luncheon and snacks in the car. and that's distracted eating. >> you want to create and on beyond wherever you're eating and that could be indoors or

outdoors. now that we're starting to eat outside more. >> right. connecting with nature so you're outside that will help reduce your stress and then and if you're inside, bring flowers, are at and setting up a nice setting. you want to be able to sit down and relax yeah. and not know standing in front of the pan or we're looking you've been to my kitchen world. the cabinet doors are open and just grab whatever i can you all. you are a big proponent of using chopsticks or maybe smaller utensils as a way of portion control. >> portion control, but also slowing down yeah. i i actually. >> you know, i don't know if you've ever heard of these type of utensils are actually for parkinson's these are half a pound and they they help with the tremors. but this

will also slow you down if you have utensils that way going to take you sure longer to get to eat in slow you down. so you're pumping a little iron as you're reading as where would someone find a utensil like that. >> you can look for this on amazon or any type of. >> look for parkinson's ok websites. okay. will find this one sounds sounds like out left field. but if you stop and think about it. it makes a lot of sense and that is to use some hot sauce or wasabi. >> on your food. >> right. make it really hot the other night. we had thai food in very hot and that sure slow to the first, you know, sipping water between bites. yeah. really good thing to slow you down. but yes, is that you'll be sipping water and yeah, just trying to get your bearings all yeah. and

the asian american and pacific islander group during the pandemic and now a bay area group is looking to keep senior members of the asian community safe by giving them a low tech tool they say can make a big difference. kron four's amanda hari has the details. >> they're giving out whistles. the organizer tells me whistles create a lot of noise and that could catch someone else. the tension or scare the person that may be trying to hurt the other person that's wearing that whistle. you know, they feel a little safer. >> going out. by because with all the crimes against asians right now. it's it's scary organizer. he alvarado morris says she came up with the we come together whistle drive. well, online looking through a moms group. >> she said another mother brought up concerns about her asian parents. parents were afraid. >> to go out and how can we help people in the group suggested pepper spray but alvarado morris was concerned that it could be dangerous to

drop off a little today to yeah. in the 20's. there's the marine layer cover recovery, which is good news. we want to see that come back. then it drops off a bit on monday. republic do the same thing on tuesday as well. and those statements are involving this in terms of any fire concerns. but we certainly see those numbers drop off. we did have somewhat recent rains and we see a little bit of recovery happening of the bring leora a bit overnight. so what we have looking ahead of everything is for today, sunny and warm inland 60's at the coast near 80's happening in london. solano county. we might do that now for tomorrow slightly cooler with 60's and 70's. the rule to keep the coast is going to feel a little chilly. but most of the inland temperatures will be pushed back down to the lower 70's at that. then for next week will warming by midweek. you'll feel it start on tuesday. but really ricochet really jump up for wednesday into thursday. then the big change happens. we'll see. maybe some showers developing into next weekend. we have some traffic to look out for 66 san francisco oakland. it's 7177 for san jose across the wider bay.

well, we have mostly upper 70's on the board here, however, will take a look at that. 4 zone forecast. there are a couple little 80's hiding a little bit. well, marty. all right, dave, thanks a lot. well, this morning we're learning more about a series of deadly shootings. >> in virginia. that's where 2 people were killed and 8 others were injured. >> police arrested 3 people. but now there are some questions about why an officer who fatally shot a man during these incidents did not turn on his body camera. scott has the latest on that. >> the first violent incident at the oceanfront started at the intersection of atlantic and 20th. we know now know that started out as a physical fight. an argument into a physical fight that at some point escalated into virginia beach. officer was on scene at the time and assisted the detective bureau in arresting 3 people for that incident. that injured 7 people. 22 on adams 18 year-old mike was baker in 20 year-old, yvonne dorsey junior are facing

assault and firearm charges next was the shooting on 19th street that killed 29 year-old to sheila harris and injured another. there are no material updates at this point. there are no arrests at this time. >> we do believe that she truly is at this point in time and it is a victim. there was probably struck by stray gunfire. and lastly, the police involved shooting that killed 25 year-old donovan lynch. >> the commonwealth's attorney's ofaice is overseeing the criminal investigation by virginia beach police. they say they don't have a lot of answers. there was a firearm recovered. >> in the vicinity of where this incident occurred chief neudigate says there is no evidence at this time that supports lynch having a gun on him at the time. he was shot. >> or if the gun found belong to and there's no body cam footage. officer was wearing a body cam. for unknown reasons at this point in time. it was not activated. >> that was temer. scott reporting for us this morning

a shelter at the san diego convention center. those girls who arrived from texas are going to be housed. there temporarily. >> it comes during a surge of migrants at the southern border. caution gore. chuck has the latest for us. >> think in el salvador. she's hoping that her girl finds people like this to take care of emotions run high as 500 girls seeking asylum arrive at the san diego convention center saturday night coming from overcrowded border detention facilities. these are all girls that are coming here as you probably know, girls. >> have particular dangers when they travel here glory announced the convention center is taking an exclusively migrant girls aged 13 to 17 the federal government is footing the bill for the operation set to run until early july. the girls will be provided beds. food showers, medical care, legal services and an outdoor play area and will not be allowed to leave until they reunite with family or sponsor while they wait the hearing. this is not a incarceration facility, but this is a place for

>> well, new this morning, police in antioch are looking for a man who shot a dog and then broke into a house with the homeowner still inside all of this happened after the man was involved in a police chase oakley police were chasing a stolen car in the city of antioch. and during that chase, someone in the car fired a shot and hit another car. no one was injured. but shortly after the shooting that stolen car crashed into a parked car. the driver was arrested but a passenger ran into a nearby yard and shot the homeowner's dog. it's not known right now. if that dog survived, the gunman then tried to break into the home and eventually shot out the sliding glass door. the homeowner was still inside with his 14 year-old son. they we're able to get away unharmed. thankfully before police could arrive. the shooter took off and is still on the loose this morning.

melting in our future up there. now, here's this first front drops south on monday. then high pressure builds. we warm middle of next week, particularly end of next week into the weekend. things are turning. it looks like they're showers in our future into next weekend. not exactly certain how that's going lend itself. but we'll see a different type of weather pattern that might be developing that 66 and the 4 zone forecast for san francisco 61 for pacifica half moon bay at 60 might see cooler numbers tomorrow because of that on shore when we just mentioned upper 60's covered the bay side of the peninsula down to the south. we're in the mid like palo alto at 75 santa clara valley 77 milpitas 79 morgan hill trying to get to 80 mid 70's along the east bay shoreline. tri valleys upper 70's as we're looking at 78 for walnut creek 79 for concord 68 berkeley. kind of a cool spot. there. the at 76 there's or 80, though, fairfield and vacaville coming in at about 80 sonoma and santa rosa, still looking in the middle to

your stress eating. you are eating their iraqi everything is in going rapid fire. right. so taking in a lot of calories. and out lots of times. those calories are from broccoli and some of those healthy foods. >> okay. we're looking at some tips that you have on the screen. one of them is to exercise for 3 minutes before you eat. let's talk about that for a second. >> right in in this kind of goes back a few set new segments ago when we talking that had to reduce your stress and and one of them is that exercise for 3 minutes and that will ramp up in. and really some of those endorphins say you don't have to exercise for long periods of time. you can release those happy hormones within 3 start out with that. >> and one of the other tips that you have up on the screen while we're looking at here is to address the stoess. that is to figure out what's causing the stress in order to lesson.

>> right. you really have to find out what it is that is causing you to eat number one key to addressing stress eating is to first be aware of that. a lot of people don't even know that they're doing it. they'll say i i told myself i'm not going to eat cookies anymore. but i just have this in this insatiable desire for cookies and not really realizing what it is. that's driving that that that desire so logging and keeping a journal and writing down what they're craving as well as what they're feeling. >> you're a big proponent of eating mindfully. let's touch on that. what does that mean? us? >> so that means paying so paying attention to your food. turning off all those distractions number will end tv. >> and the and take out your air pods just really sit down and focus on what you're

eating. >> you know, food eating is a a full sensory a lot of times we are shoveling down our food and really not taking paying attention to what we're eating and how much we're eating and why we're eating. >> one thing. you mentioned as well as to allow more time to eat so many times we feel rushed or we rush through our meal. and that's one of the reasons that we not only gain weight, but we can't even remember what we had. >> right. and that's another form of distracted eating because we're brushing off may be driving and eating a lot of people telling me they even the car. they ate their breakfast and lunch and then snacks in the car and that's distracted eating. >> you want to create an on beyond wherever you're eating and that could be indoors or outdoors. now that we're starting to eat outside more. >> connecting with nature so but are outside that will help reduce your stress and then and if you're inside, bring

flowers, are at and setting up a nice setting. you want to be able to sit down and relaxg yeah. and not know standing in front of the pan or we're looking you've been to my kitchen world. the cabinet doors are open just grab whatever i can you you are a big proponent of using chopsticks or maybe smaller utensils as a way of portion control. >> portion control, but also slowing down yeah. i i actually. >> you know, i don't know if you've ever heard of these type of utensils are actually for parkinson's these are half a pound and they they help with the tremors. but this will also slow you down if you have utensils that way going to be take you sure longer to get to eat in slow you down. so you're pumping a little iron as you're reading as

where would someone find a utensil like that. >> you can look for this on amazon or any type of. >> look for parkinson's ok websites in okay. will find this one sounds sounds like out left field. but if you stop and think about it. it makes a lot of sense and that is to use some hot sauce or wasabi on your food. >> right. make it really hot the other night. we had thai food in very hot and that sure slow to the first, you know, sipping water between bites. yeah. really good thing to slow you down. but yes, is that you'll be sipping water and yeah, just trying to get your bearings all yeah. and then it will increase your senses. yeah. chris, your awareness of what you're eating. >> and i think one of the big tips that you have on your list is to avoid high-fructose corn syrup.

right now. it's it's scary organizer. he alvarado morris says she came up with the we come together whistle drive. well, online looking through a moms group. >> she said another mother brought up concerns about her asian parents. parents were afraid. >> to go out and how can we help people in the group suggested pepper spray but alvarado morris was concerned that it could be dangerous to the user. so she came up with another idea i bought 2 winter was originally as she told people about the whistle concept. there was more and more interest by data. we had a 1000 whistles. >> and then by day 3, when we me for 5,000 whistles. people are donating money and their time to help with the whistle drive. >> currently they have about 45 volunteers. >> and over. adam morris says she was in chinatown herself, handing out whistles to asian elders. there are so excited about it. we're so grateful and you know, kids and say thank you. you know that.

always a troubled area. that's where the fog you see coming and going. so it's the last stop along the way to clear out. it looks pretty good at u c berkeley with taking care of things. the east bay shoreline all lit up nice blue skies there. >> good news. also to no delays coming out of sfo. so we'll take that as well. now we'll probably see the same kind of performance again tomorrow as we start the day off with fog again mixing out to mostly sunny and not as warm. now, the start today. we're already up to 53 napa. 46 santa rosa nevado. what about 50, by the way, east bay is looking a lot of 50's as well with freeman and a cooler 4855. meanwhile, for san jose winds. again, the big thing to look out. we're starting things off overnight here with an onshore flow that continues. we get a little bit of the the afternoon because of inland heating. but this is going on long after that. as you can see for monday morning. it continues at the coast. that is a swing look at the scene on the north bay. it's even coming off shore by early tomorrow afternoon. solano counties where where the focus is going to be and that's going to spread out to the east bay throughout the

day tomorrow. so we have a little incident of some offshore winds and there is going to be a real drying effect. it's going to be felt. well inland as we start to really warm up. let's get to the moisture part of forecast this morning. as you can see, starting the day off that marine layer mixes out. we get quite dry in the east bay tomorrow morning about 6.45. you can see there's the recovery, the fog, all of that. we like that because that's good news. helped up the atmosphere a little bit. but then we dry out tomorrow afternoon. big time. it looks like there's going to be a force with some offshore winds with all of that. again, those statements yet involving anybody with all of this and even into tuesday. nocturnal e this is before dawn. we're still quite dry in the east bay. we hopefully won't have any winds by that point. so putting this all together for today. it's back to sunny again. warm inland. we may push those highs near about 80 in some places like county. but then tomorrow slightly cooler. but the big issue is you're going to feel those winds first on shore in the morning and then more of an offshore event occurring just about everywhere inland. it looks like in the afternoon,

physical fight. point escalated into virginia beach. officer was on scene at the time and assisted the detective bureau in arresting 3 people for that incident. that injured 7 people. 22 on adams 18 year-old like was baker in 20 year-old. yvonne dorsey junior are facing assault and firearm charges next was the shooting on 19th street that killed 29 year-old to sheila harris and injured another. there are no material updates at this point. there are no arrests at this time. >> we do believe that she truly is at this point in time and it is a victim. there was probably struck by stray gunfire. and lastly, the police involved shooting that killed 25 year-old donovan lynch. >> the commonwealth's attorney's office is overseeing the criminal investigation by virginia beach police. they say they don't have a lot of answers. there was a firearm recovered. >> in the vicinity of where this incident occurred chief neudigate says there is no evidence at this time that

after that phase will have the winds start to shift. speaking of which, yes, going to start off on shore through the overnight greeting us tomorrow morning. look at breezy. it looks like at the coast as late as 8 o'clock or so. then comes a switch more off shore up the solano county and that spills across the east bay as well. that will be dry and it will dry out conditions in the far east bay too. now as we warm up. so we'll talk who they were going to probably feel it by wednesday. those the climb to the 50's tomorrow. they're interrupted 60. it looks like by wednesday, which means we're looking at some melting happening up there and the mountains you get too much of that. sometimes you can have a problem a little bit for the area rivers and so forth. watching future cast for without incident. that thing moves through. so we don't see a lot of cloud cover with it except the winds and slightly cooler temperatures. high pressure is obviously in control here. so that's the phase the pacific we're in for next week. but starting the by friday. and next weekend there's a shift how long that lasts and the total impact is not clear, but it's fair to say there's a chance of seeing some showers developing next

>> well, i i'm sure it was not the easiest of processes. you guys are located right in the middle of downtown san jose. there on a south first street. did you always want to be in that area. >> we decided that we're going to do it. we did say like what's the biggest dream we could fill bill here and being from san jose or sales. we knew that downtown was a special place that we wanted to bring a bustle, too. so, yeah, absolutely. >> how's it been so far. i've been looking on your on your social media and it seems you've got a lot of good followers and what not. how have people responded to the opening of the business. >> i mean has been great. i think that people i love i we've been having a really good time. i think that's the most important part. we're i have enjoyed every single day and i think you see that. yeah. we started building our community really early on instagram. so we started with a blog and then we would share that it's going facebook. and so the following just kept building over time. so by the

time we had our physical location. we have already about 3,000 or so followers now we're up to over 11,000 and a lot people haven't you been in the shop. so it's been a lot of easing in threat is going to get there. >> well, i do think you guys really do your social media really because you show the kind of the interior of the of the space is really beautiful. all of the bright colors. and you also have a lot of unique artwork all over the walls and what i've noticed on your social media. a lot of these artists are local can you talk to me just a little bit about how you've worked with them to kind of incorporate them with the business. >> yeah, of we actually reached out on our instagram before we open for local artists. in particular. we're looking for artists that people of color, you know, black and people color and they just came in droves there's so many talented folks in san jose in the bay area and they a lot was the person that they were putting

themselves out there, too. and so i know that meant a lot for us because this is our first time doing anything of this scale. and so we've kind of just built-in grown together with these amazing artists. they continue to support us too. >> well an and it really is beautiful and very unique artwork. so i i do encourage anyone who stops by or coffee shop to kind of, you know, roam if they can and look at the different artwork on the walls. i also really love the idea of coffee and waffles. the waffle girl you talk to be a little bit about that combination. what took you guys there to to coffee and waffles. >> well, funny i've worked in a lot of different coffee shops and i just felt like we would be fun to have something different. so i was sitting with my team and they, you know, let's do waffles silent online and i was like to see some sweet as these unsavory of us put it out there just just with anything. this is our first time. so we are you see what works and what doesn't work. and i actually just work.

>> is it all sweet waffles? are there some savory ones too, where there is some sweet and savory. so we have it's reason can case a lawful, which is a less my absolute and we have a baby in cheddar at yeah. we have a >> and the golden so that's you know, we're always going to be at a different thing. so mean, you and so you have the waffles i that's talk to me about being. >> 2 women of color. obviously you are sisters which a beautiful thing to work together. but. >> being woman of color and opening up a in a space that doesn't necessarily have that many black owned businesses around it. >> yeah. i mean, it's pretty good experience for us. i would say i think a lot of that does stem from the fact that we're also local local were sisters. and so there are other black owned businesses in downtown with backyard or neighbors that black owned

businesses. well, and so i think for us, we really capturing the spirit in diversity of san jose. it's cannot scene. so but when you come into nirvana soul like i think that is a what san jose really looks like and so we're happy just to be a part of have been embraced by so many different people and different demographics in ages and backgrounds right here in san jose. >> well, and i think just the name nirvana puts you in a good vibes. only kind of mindset. my last question for you guys. how are you hoping people feel as they leave your coffee shop. >> i'm hoping that they the ross perot was a dream for me. i'm a long time and that's why we chose to go with the bright colors and we c oose to be more on the bubbly side. so i want them to come in and just see that even in the process of your team could be a hard thing that you can still do it. so when they're walking
