by wearing masks, especially in crowded environments. if they don't know the vaccination status of those around them to protect alameda county workers. all workplaces must continue to follow cal osha's standards, including current masking requirements, alameda county can't be less restrictive. many businesses are dropping mask mandates in their stores, though, including trader joe's on friday. the company announced they will no longer require fully vaccinated customers to wear masks while shopping the grocery chain says this is in compliance with cdc guidelines and it looks like it will use the honor system. a spokesperson for the company said they will not require proof a vaccination adding they trust their customers to follow. cdc guidelines. many shoppers say for now they'll keep their masks on. >> i think i probably try to come like when it left i still i'm not comfortable to me like i some of targets the

public transportation here in the bay area. bart has released a statement saying it will continue to require riders to wear masks while on bart property. it comes to vaccinations, the effort to get kids vaccinated is picking up. there's a new vaccination clinic opening today for kids 12 and older in san francisco kron four's camila barco is live in sf city college this morning with the details. good morning. camila. >> good and yeah, health care workers are making this easy and accessible for this age group. you can either drive up to the site behind me and get your vaccine in the arm or you can just walk up to the lot, have a seat and then get your shot their health care workers are, as you said back in meeting anyone, 12 years and older who live work and learn in the city. but if you are under 18, you do need permission from a parent to be vaccinated at this time. teens are only eligible to receive the pfizer vaccine. the fda
7:07 am
granted emergency use authorization just a few days ago for this age group. according to the state's dashboard, 1.4% of people between the ages of 1217 in san francisco have already received at least one dose. but if you do get your first dose here at the city college. you will need to come back for your second and if you can't make it to the city college. there are a couple other options. take a look at this. on monday you ucsf benioff children's hospital in oakland will start offering vaccines to teens some cvs pharmacies and safe ways are also offering pfizer to anyone 12 years and older and here at the sea es s city college. no insurance is needed. but one worker tells me that if a parent comes with their child. a parent will need to come from the child's information and age. and it's best if you bring some form of identification to make that process easier. they'll start scheduling appointments starting here at 08:00am well, back to you. >> alright camila. i'm sure

this saturday morning and take a look at this newly released video taken from a naval ship shows a strange flying object moving at a high rate of speed before it disappears into the pacific ocean. this video was taken back in july of 2019 from on board the san diego-based warship, the uss omaha crew members say the orb shaped object appeared to sink into the ocean. they searched the area but no wreckage. >> was ever found done done, done. haha, thanks for joining us again. it's time for another check of the weather forecast. that looked pretty suspicious up there. >> very interesting looking at us and saying they still can't merge into traffic check it out. >> what we're talking about today is a little bit that fog going on quite thick around the perimeter of the base. you can see in some of the shots, some drizzle around the coast in the bay shoreline a little bit. but that will clear up for today and on balance. turning like a mostly sunny day into the afternoon. we have 2 different types of moisture that's at work here.
7:16 am
we'll get to that in just a bit. right now. here's the east bay shoreline. that's, you know, behind all this fog in the bay that we normally have temperatures have been on the cool side. don't expect a lot of movement today, lower 50's going on the east bay shoreline even inland 55 for cup to the north bay lower 50's 45 santa rosa 53. meanwhile for san jose. so we have a low in our backyard. it's kind of fortunate in some ways because that brings that marine layer in here. that's fire repellent. we like that. that's good news over up to the north. you can see this band of showers here. we could use that, too. but that the spark off maybe potentially some isolated thunder showers that's going to stay up to the north of us. and this marine layer is acting as a stability factor hitting us in the morning hours. so that's going to reduce that shot. but still in the peripherals of our viewing area up to the north bay. the potential is still there at some daytime heating. this is what goes on. there's little flare up to the north tahoe as well, which we will see. by the way, it looks like tomorrow was well, most of the action will be up in the mountains there. again. we'll
7:17 am
see our marine layer again only to clear out for the afternoon. so expect more fog tomorrow morning. but again, afternoon clearing the winds of they continue kind of on shore. nothing real dramatic until we get to the latter portion of all of this sunday night gets kind of aggressive with that low starting to leave us. so getting into monday will be a bit on the breezy side in cooler and curiously enough by tuesday. a little bit of will warm spike. we're calling it yell morning clouds coastal drizzle clearing cool and breezy tomorrow we can do the same thing again, but better inland warming. now it's a cool week ahead with mostly the 70's. but looks like interesting enough on tuesday we'll get bit of a spike in temperatures will bump up a little bit to the upper 70's inland 58 san francisco today we're going to fall 61 for oakland. 68. meanwhile, for san jose across the wider bay. we do have some lower 70's to be found. you can see off their livermore in antioch. some lower 70's, of course, places like the lake. what 57 showing that strong onshore wind coming up in a bit. we'll have the 4 zone forecast for you. and that extended noel.

previously served as san diego mayor for 2 terms faulkner considers himself a moderate republican and likes to point to the fact that when he was mayor, the homeless population in san diego county dropped considerably. he makes it clear if he's elected governor he'll take a very different approach to homelessness. >> i'll tell you, i did not allow tent encampments on the sidewalk in san diego that are under are freeway, underpasses or overpasses are because it's unsafe and clean and sanitary. if you allow tent encampments on your side. walk. you're condemning people to die on your side. walk. we're better than that. this californians. we've set up a system series of shelter systems in san diego that got people to help the support that they need to get back on track. we have to do that. we cannot allow what we've seen in too many great cities in our state tent encampments continuing to grow to literally double. i'm going

now long range forecast models here tell us the pattern remains kind of the same in terms of getting a good on shore flow. all this traffic from the pacific really doesn't give us any earnest rain, but at least the provides that thick marine layer each day. so that will keep temperatures down again. tuesday is called the exception is temperatures will start to climb a little bit and let's take a look at the 4 zone forecast for your saturday coming in about 58 san francisco along the coast mid 50's, 54 pacifica 61, maybe half moon bay. we'll also do the 50's and the 60's along the bay side yet school day to day almost like fall-like getting to maybe 70 or so down to the south around mountain view in the santa clara valley. some lower to middle 70's at hand. 71 cupertino, 72 milpitas east bay shoreline in the 60's over the east bay hills, not much warmer going to see a better to couple it happening by tuesday, 71 for livermore 74 walnut creek and conquered 59 for berkeley, 61 oakland 57 for delay here. there's that strong onshore wind. but

temperatures bounce a little bit inland. as you can see, lower 70's there. 66 napa 71 for sonoma keeping an eye out for maybe a flare up of a thunder shower far up north rose in more 60's heading down south. look at the 7 day forecast here. we have 70's this weekend drop a little bit monday back to 77 and then more moderate 70's. it looks like the balance of the week. all that traffic in the pacific really only brings us some scattered clouds. unfortunately, no rain but still on the lookout for that. noel. >> all right. dave developing news now out of the east bay, the oakland city council. we'll take up a vote on whether or not to approve a new stadium for the a's. this comes days after major league baseball gave the team the green light to explore other markets kron four's terisa stasio has the story. and there's been so much back and forth on this project. but here's the very latest. so we're going to sort it out for you. >> so we're here in alameda because behind me that is the backside of howard terminal
