informal poll over the past 24 hours of of many of our members, most of on our board. and so these are long time restaurant owners with multiple locations in the city. >> and i should say, for full disclosure. i have 2 restaurants myself and what basically everybody i've spoken to. it's going to go with the option where you can post a sign and it will say that if somebody is entering as a customer inside or even outside. but specifically inside and they don't have a mask on that. they are what's called testing self certifying by their action that they are vaccinated. and if they are not vaccinated, they will need to put on a mask. and so we're working with the city will be putting signs out tomorrow. we're working with the city to get them translated into, you know, images in and other languages, but that i think it's been a 100% of everybody. i've spoken to and that in the past day or 2. that's what they're going to be doing ok, so just kind letting making sure that people, you know,

who aren't aren't vaccinated. you know, letting them know they need to go ahead and wear the mask. but here in san francisco, of course, we've just reached 80% vaccination. so i'm sure that that puts you got your minds at ease a little bit right. >> right. well, that that's super exciting news. but remember now we're having people come in from around california as well as other states and probably international right. >> so what the guidance is from california is if you're inside without a mask, you have to be vaccinated and you have to. it's an honor system fame. now, the thing we want to mention is and i think you guys have heard all this. this controversy, cal osha is not going to meet again until thursday of this next week. the 17th and there's been a lot of confusing rules and we're hoping those rules get clarified for employees. so we're expecting at least to the 17th maybe through later this month through the end of the month. all employees will be continuing to wear masks, whether they're vaccinated or not. and many of our employees in industry are fully vaccinated and have been for

several months. well, so and that's what's going to next question. how are the employees feeling about this. everybody i've talked to is is wanting to to move i do want to say to all of our viewers out there that, you know, every business has the right to do stricter guidance so some businesses may choose to be asking for proof of vaccination or a negative test. that's their right. and then some businesses may say everybody still needs to be mask inside. that's their right as well. so this is going to be a period of tolerance and trust in the honor system. and we just ask that, you know, everybody find their level of comfort and and be patient with you know, it's going on if you have questions call the restaurant ahead of time today. what are you doing? we want to know what you're doing and then still specify. i want to sit outside or i want to sit, you know, i'm comfortable sitting inside or i want to sit inside. are you starting to see more people saying yeah, i want to sit inside. now they're feeling a little bit more comfortable going indoors. i know for a while.
9:52 am
>> it was still mostly people saying i'd rather wait for a table outdoors. yeah. i that it has flipped. i think more people definitely are comfortable sitting inside, even even older folks who you know, before work very much into sitting outside. but we still do have people that are just not comfortable. maybe they have immune compromise members of that family still maybe they have children under 12 aren't vaccinated you know where on tuesday night and we're specifically sitting to our friends requests that that's what happened. so that's why the shared spaces that we're fighting so hard to get in a more permanent way and san francisco are so critical for the survival of our industry. i think there's a lot of support to getting those shared spaces and making sure that our outdoor park. let's stay. i think that's going to really help boost you know, as people tried to recover from the pandemic right. it's so necessary. and thank you for saying that. i mean, people are like, well,
