with a little bit of fog across the bay. otherwise kind of be not a bad day out there, dave. i'm actually curious, though. are we going to see any rain in the forecast over the next week. yes, we have 2 opportunities for the one we're really watching is in the thursday night. it looks like there's little passing front by monday. however. >> beautiful shot though. embarcadero. how about that? we're getting a lot of sunshine coming in here. some of that fog lifting off a good chunk of the. >> east bay shoreline improving as well inland around the delta. still a little problem area. but improving over most of the region. so that's off to a good start there and we will be sprayed by some high cloudiness thickening up at times again this up front is upstream that w ll affect us into monday night. let's look at the longer range forecast models. that's the guy we're talking about kind of clean behind all of that. there will be some cooler temperatures than here's the one we're really putting our chips on a shower event occurring of the timing for this appears to be late on thursday. this freeze. is it friday morning in its wake. we should also improve

>> really support our veterans. we have almost 2 million veterans in the in the california area. and when it comes to to being a veteran. a lot of times it i think can be hard to relate to the average american who did not serve our country. >> you say that that veterans do combat the feeling of loneliness. a lot of times. >> yes, loneliness it in about 44%. >> of the veterans that were surveyed said they they feel lonely. some of the time in about just over 10% said they feel. >> lonely. most of the time and one of the things when you serve in the military. >> you think about it. they are with their brothers and sisters in the military. they served together they they share a mission. they eat sleep were together. >> so when they are in civilian life. a lot of them don't have that social community anymore. so they really do feel lonely. is

8:50 am
they don't know if anyone's even interested in hearing about their we all love to talk about our jobs. in there just fearful that people may not be interested. so bring it up and open them up to conversation. you could get some really good stories and they start to talk. >> i know some some of the best stories come from veterans and the experiences that they've had all around the another thing obviously highlighting them in your workplace or even hiring that if you're an employer, that's a good thing to do as well. >> right. i really we used to have a table set up for our veterans to bring in photos of their of them in military service and what of my veterans who is a marine. he brought his yearbook and another veteran walked by and said i served in that same that same year. and so they had this great conversation. it and brought together some really good memories that it's a way for us to open up the conversation, start a conversation with the veteran
