off a lot of overcast, though, or some fog too. everyone is going deal with this to the morning hours. looks like some breaks happening as we get to the late morning hours as a formality solano county off to the sacramento valley. you're in this dense fog advisory going on until later on this morning. just give you an idea how it settles up. it looks like it should clear out. well before the noon hour. now another factor we're also dealing with are the king tides. there's a flood advisory at the coast going on through 03:00pm on sunday. it will reach its zenith or its peak. generally speaking anywhere say from 10 in the morning until one in the afternoon. watch for the low lying areas for parking lots parks, roads, that sort of thing. temperature check for in the lower to middle 50's 45 off the antioch. 51 going on for livermore and your breakdown today with the east bay shoreline and kind of this fogginess. 52, as we start to clear out, 57 only by 2 o'clock with sunny skies, although we'll see plenty of 60's on the board. we'll show you what you can expect for

this weekend and also these rain opportunities in the next week. sarah, thanks, dave. we'll look forward to that. >> we're turning now to a developing story in the east bay officials find several cases of the omicron variant in alameda county. this comes days after the first omicron case in the united states was detected here in san francisco. unfortunately kron fours camila barco live in the newsroom with more details coming sarah, at least 5 people in alameda county have been diagnosed with the omicron variant. now their symptoms mild. >> but all of those patients have been vaccinated and none of them had to be hospitalized alameda county public health officer says that these cases are among 12 covid cases in the county. these patients all attended a wedding in wisconsin. one of them traveled internationally before the event. the group came back infected with covid-19 now 5 of them are diagnosed with the omicron variant their ages range between 18 to 49 a local

infectious disease expert is hopeful that this variant may not make people asked sake as other variants like delta. >> there are some tantalizing observations know that people are getting infected with this south african the report from the case is here now and in europe. getting terribly ill. now, that could change dramatically. >> local public health officials are looking for these variants, which is why we're hearing more of them pop up a state lab used in hmic sequencing to identify the 5 omicron cases in alameda county. however, genomic sequencing data is not available for all 12 cases. in the meantime, officials continue to remind people to get vaccinated, stay home if you're sick. and if you have some symptoms to get tested farah, back to you. >> now in alameda county, public health officer says these cases are among 12 covid case in the county. these

patients are all attending a wedding. wisconsin as camilla was just saying. so that is what that story has to do with, but we're going to move on to what the county is talking about on one enough. fast forward. there. so doctor anthony fauci, he says there's new evidence to suggest getting a booster shot will protect you against any variant of covid. fauci says the extra dose provides a level of neutralizing covid antibodies that could offer protection against omicron although it's still too early to say for sure. >> there's every reason to believe that if you get vaccinated and boosted that you would have at least some degree of cross protection. very likely against severe disease even against the omicron variant. >> despite the attention to omicron cdc says 99.9% of all new covid cases in the u.s. are from the delta variant and the majority of them are in people who are not vaccinated.

'08, and new this morning, the parents of the accused high school shooter and oxford, michigan have pled not guilty to all charges. police found the parents this morning. look, people wanted posters out for james and jennifer crumbley. they were found hiding in a building that housed artwork. they say business owners spotted the car associated with the couple in that parking lot and then they called police. the couple was arraigned this morning pled not guilty to all involuntary manslaughter charges. investigators say the teens parents bought the weapon used in the school shooting last week. prosecutors say that the crumbleys actions went, quote, far beyond negligence because that gun seems to have been freely available. >> november. 21st 21 a teacher at the oxford high school observed ethan crumbley searching ammunition on his cell phone during class and reported the same to school

officials. jennifer crumbley was contacted via voicemail by school personnel regarding that sons inappropriate internet search school personnel indicate they follow that voicemail up with an e-mail but received no response from either parent. thereafter. jennifer crumbley exchanged text messages about the incident with her son on that day. staying, quote, i'm not mad at you. you have to learn not to get caught end quote. >> a judge has set the bond to $500,000 a piece for parent. the parents of that teen. so that's developing that just came down on friday the crumbleys attorney said they left town earlier this week for their own safety and they'd return to oxford to face charges. detroit's police chief says the couple had help getting into that building where they're hiding and the person who helped them will or could face charges. dave. >> ok for today with shake off this morning. fog and will go

successive hit later in the week and a more potent one by next sunday monday zone. it looks like so it's a little trend that starts to build here. that's a kind of inviting 60 san francisco today after shake off the morning fog 60 also for oakland, even san jose check-in about 62 there across the district lower 60's will be the rule course. we'll get more into this in the 4 zone forecast and check out your extended as well. sarah. >> a new independent report released by vallejo and its police department complain or claims rather, that the deadly police shooting of sean monterrosa happened last june. they claim it was not reasonable. the 22 year-old was shot while officers responding to a looting at walgreens following the death of george george floyd kron four's. phillipe djegal has more details. >> based on interviews with vallejo police supervisors on duty the night 22 year-old sean monterrosa was gunned down through a windshield by an officer in the back of an unmarked truck last june and interviews with the officers

involved. the independent administrative investigative review into the shooting finds the use of force was not objectively reasonable. it says the 4 officers who were on scene tactically responded poorly and violated the police department's de escalation policies in light of those factors. the review says, quote, the chances of a non threatening or even capitulated movement by mister monterrosa being misperceived as a deadly threat. we're greatly increased its frustrating when you know the truth and you have to put you have to. >> continue to scream at the top of your lungs to be heard. sean monterrosa's sisters consider the review of victory pointing to its assertion that the officers involved misinterpreted monterrosa's actions that night as aggression. >> failed to turn their body cameras on in a timely manner and that all of the officers mistakenly thought monterrosa was armed with a gun. instead

it's been determined he had a hammer. we know shot he was surrendering. he knew that when the county law enforcement that, you know, we shouldn't pose any threat to them 18 months ago. the report says officers responding to the looting call at walgreens saw monterossa running towards a car that was leaving and eventually left without him and rammed into a patrol vehicle. that's when the officers say monterrosa moved toward them and as he kneeled on the ground appeared to draw a weapon. the report now says it was the officers who closed the distance and misjudge monterrosa as a threat. it would have been nice to hear the disciplinary actions that we're going to be released with the before family were still pushing for the fine conviction. >> for the attorney officer bring charges forward with investigation being done. the attorney general's investigation remains open. the monterrosa's are also still pursuing a civil lawsuit in this case phillipe djegal

all kron 4 news. >> the city of oakland currently has 676 police officers. and that is the lowest level in more than a decade. and it's below the threshold for return for retaining the measure z funds. that measure is a parcel tax approved by voters in 2014 and helps pay for fire and violence protection prevention services. city leaders have different ideas on how to address this shortage in officers. oakland. mayor libby schaff says her plan is to immediately hire 60 officers including 20 positions that are currently frozen in the city's budget. >> we are able to put forward that budget proposal through a combination of savings, particularly salary savings equipment savings. so this act will not result in any reduction of any other services that the city provide it. >> the mayor's plan would cost roughly 5.8 million dollars

earlier this week. oakland city council president shane she wants to recruit more officers by offering a $50,000 hiring incentive. the council is expected to discuss both plans next week. the contra costa county sheriff's department is adding its own man power to try and stop any more retail crimes. officials say a special detail of contra, costa deputy sheriffs. we'll be conducting patrols in downtown walnut creek. this holiday season. the response coming after 90 people stormed the nordstrom store in broadway plaza last month on tuesday, the walnut creek city council approved spending 2 million dollars in federal relief money to add extra police officers and security cameras to broadway plaza as well. oakland police are trying to find the people they say robbed a photographer of their cameras their camera at gunpoint. it happened yesterday afternoon around 3.30, at the west, oakland bart station on 5th street. police say the photographer was on assignment with the san

earlier. yeah, we're just a deal with the fog this morning. sarah will do a little bit of that tomorrow as well as kind of think that when you get off the solano county in the. >> central valley. it looks like so is a formality solano county. you've got to wait to about 11 o'clock until this as a formality starts to lift in terms of a dense fog advisory. what we have beyond that are the king ties as we take a look at half moon bay going on here. tide is fairly low. all those a building. it's coming up now at all locations, the big view of the storm tracker. you can kind of get an outline of the high pressure sells. everything is playing. keep away that big dose of cloud cover that will drop in here on monday and monday night. we have our first chance of picking up some showers back to this. a flood advisory that's on a watch. excuse me. okay. the wrong texas up there. i apologize. but it's a a coastal flood advisory that's in place and that will be until 3 o'clock on sunday. it hits its peak. there going on the colors. ation is correct. but it will hit its peak between 10:00am and 01:00pm temperature check for you. lower to middle 50's on the board for right now will

very sad as well. >> over the years as a police officer in coma haywood and san jose. and later, a security guard. kevin, the sheet about much more to the job of law enforcement. he was someone who genuinely cared about others volunteering at police events going the extra mile with people he encountered in the field for the community. being a police officer. he definitely protect the people. >> but ask them on certain cases. look how can i help you? he has a kind heart like that. but he wanted to. in the committee and that's why he. when the police force, one of the most things about him. is he just you never asked for anything in return. you know, he was always asking why he did what we needed. even at. you know, how it rolls we are now. you know, you just never just asked us to, you know, be happy work hard in life. >> so now they reflect and

wait for answers in the backyard where they shared so much time together. so it's a word it's in japanese and it's. on and that means that to fist. perseverance in a difficult time. kevin, but always tell me to the ups and downs. just life itself. you'd always tell me that. and i would remember him even stronger in any situation that we were in. remember come on. and to stay strong for him. >> what a tough family they are going through a lot and means a lot to us that we've got to sit down and hear from them through all this sadness. the family is also proud that even though he's no longer here kevin issue that is still giving to his community. he donated his body to help others, including donating his skin to a young man, a burn

charges of kidnapping and child endangerment. a 71 year-old petaluma man was arrested thanksgiving weekend for operating in the legal chop shop. the man was coming into the san francisco on a cruise ship when the petaluma police department was notified. police say wayne craig are has had an outstanding warrant since 2019. he was wanted for grand theft charges involving 3 classic porsche the dance but was unable to be located up until this point got off that boat. and then he was a detained. police say the 3 stolen porsche's were discovered, one in santa rosa, another in novato and the other one in the shop right here in the bay area. there was also evidence of other possible stolen cars car parts. fake registration, papers and materials to to counterfeit vehicle and identification numbers at both vestigation his still very much ongoing. dave. >> all right. we're looking at temperatures into the lower 60's for highs today we have

sacramento. but you can see all the coverage area there that is contained in the sacramento valley. this is what it looks like in the projections as we get around 1011, that's when it starts to clear on out. so for the flooding we're talking about this because the king tides at work here. flood advisory for all those sensitive areas through 03:00pm on sunday and flooding will be most apparent in the late morning hours to around noon or so. this is flooding low-lying lots and parks and roads and all that sort of thing. anything that ties directly into the open ocean or the open bay and the high tide should be starting or should be hitting. there's enough here about 10:11am, around noon period as well. now we've got the upper 40's lower 50's for right now. mid 50's along the east bay shoreline 46 chilly degrees for antioch. but even as the sun comes out this afternoon temperatures a bit on the chilly side. lower 60's is what you can expect coming up in a bit. we'll be looking at more to that and also into next week. there's a couple opportunities for rain showers to get better as the week wears on sarah. >> thank you, dave. we're

turning now to a developing story in the east bay officials find several cases of the omicron variant in alameda county. this comes days after the first omicron case in the united states was detected here in san francisco. kron fours camila barco live in the newsroom with more details. camilla. yes, so at least 5 people in alameda county have been diagnosed with the omicron variant. now their symptoms are mild, but. >> all of them are vaccinated and no one needed to be hospitalized and alameda county public health officer says that these cases are among 12 covid cases in the county. these patients all attending a wedding in wisconsin. one of them traveled internationally before that event. the group came back infected with covid-19 and now 5 of them are diagnosed with the omicron variant. ages range between 18 to 49 a local infectious disease expert is hopeful that this variant may not make people as sick as other variants like delta. >> there are some tantalizing.

observations know that people are getting infected with this south african the report from the case is here now and in europe. getting terribly ill. now, that could change dramatically. >> local public health officials are looking for these variants, which is why we're hearing more of them pop up a state lab use genomic sequencing to identify the 5 omicron cases in alameda county. however, genomic sequencing is not yet available for all 12 covid cases in the meantime, officials continue to ask people to get vaccinated, get tested if they're symptomatic and stay home. if you're sick. sarah, back to you. thanks, camila. look forward to report at 9 o'clock for now in the north bay 8 students at new coming school in corte madera tested positive for covid district officials say they suspect 3 students were infected on campus. >> because they later determined a child attended

class after testing positive. in a statement, the district superintendent says, quote, the index cases were from one family with a student tested positive and their parents knowingly sent them to their siblings and their sibling to school for 7 days. marin county public health has been given the details regarding this case and the district will make a corrective action about 75 students were exposed to the virus and had to quarantine over the thanksgiving break. doctor anthony fauci says there is new evidence to suggest getting a booster shot will protect you against any variant of covid. fauci says the extra dose provides a level of neutralizing covid antibodies that could offer protection against omicron, although it's still too early to say for sure. >> there's every reason to believe that if you get vaccinated and boosted that you would have at least some degree of cross protection. very likely against severe disease even against the

omicron variant. >> despite the attention omicron is getting the cdc says 99.9% of all new covid cases in the u.s. are from the delta variant in majority of them are in people who have been who have not been vaccinated. tsa plans to extend a mask mandate for public transportation in an effort to curtail the spread of omicron delta variance of covid-19 the court requirement covers planes trains and buses. the mandate was set to expire in mid january. but now it's being extended another 2 months to mid-march because of omicron variant and now that it's been detected on us soil since september. people who have not been complying with the mask mandate have been find anywhere from 500 to $3,000. google employees will not be required to return to the office next month as scheduled due to omicron employees were set to return on 1/10/2022 which was an

>> welcome back. new this morning, the parents of the accused high school shooter in oxford, michigan have pled not guilty to all counts. the couple was arraigned this morninglafter police finally found them. police say james and jennifer crumbley were hiding in a building that house art work. they say business owner spotted the car associated with the couple in the parking lot and called police. the couple pled not guilty to all involuntary manslaughter charges. investigators say the teens parents bought the semiautomatic weapon used in the school shooting last week. prosecutors say that the crumbleys actions went, quote, far beyond negligence because that gun seem to be freely available. >> november 21st 21 a teacher at the oxford high school

observed ethan crumbley searching ammunition on his cell phone during class and reported the same to school officials. jennifer crumbley was contacted via voicemail by school personnel regarding that sons inappropriate internet search school personnel indicate they follow that voicemail up with an e-mail but received no response from either parent. thereafter. jennifer crumbley exchanged text messages about the incident with her son on that day. staying, quote, i'm not mad at you. you have to learn not to get caught end quote. >> this morning a judge has set the bond at $500,000 for each parent on friday. the crumbleys attorneys said they left town earlier this week for their own safety and they returned oxford to face charges. clearly that didn't happen. detroit's police chief says the couple had help getting into the building where they were hiding and the person who helped them could also face charges. >> alright for today. we'll

cool side so that feel of spring that we had last forget about it. the 60's are here to stay. now we do have this high pressure still kind of in places where goes up and around it. it will break down, however, by early in the week. we have our first opportunity for a shower temperature checked lower to middle 50's line at the east bay shoreline dropping off the lower 50's 47 for antioch. 49 for santa rosa 53. meanwhile for san jose. so there's that fog that we talked about the central valley. you can see clears out this afternoon. kind of returns a little bit for tomorrow, although not as strong. and then we start to get into monday. and that's when we start to see a little bit of a change some scattered clouds for monday. an opportunity for shower monday night into tuesday. there's another success of one later in the week and then one into the weekend and following weeks. we'll be watching that carefully because that looks like the best of the bunch. again, it's high pressure for right now. we're dry with the fog issues going on. that's based your weekend forecast. then things change a little bit into next week. so utterly fog and clouds going on.

clearing king tides are with us. coastal flooding. watch out scattered clouds and cool early in the week. a shower opportunity monday night, tuesday it's better later in the week though, variable clouds and a better chances as we get to the latter portion of the week and into the following week, 60's san francisco matching that for oakland 62 san jose mostly sunny in the afternoon, of course, and still cool even in the south bay. readings across most the district. we'll be in the lower 60. so this is not 70 degree territory or racing ahead like we saw from last week in a bit. we'll have that 4 zone forecast. look at the extended or watch the models for that better chance of rain showers sarah. >> thank you, dave. one of the largest retail theft bus in california history has made it right here in the bay area attorney general rob bonta made the announcement in san mateo county. that's where he says 5 defendants were arrested in september for stealing nearly 8 million dollars in merchandise. kron four's rob nesbit has more.

>> this was no small operation that was discovered in san mateo county, the stolen items were seized by the state from several homes. more than a dozen storage units and even a warehouse that the thieves used as a distribution center. the pictures of stolen items show the extent of just how big the million-dollar operation was in san mateo county, one of the largest retail theft busts in california history. attorney general rob bonta says 8 million dollars in merchandise was found from stores such as cvs target and walgreens $85,000 in cash and more than 1.8 million dollars was seized from various bank accounts doesn't stop after the initial theft. organized criminals resell their stolen goods and in many cases use the money to find additional illicit activity. according to the a g s office for men and one woman were arrested and pleaded guilty to stealing and reselling the goods. san mateo. sheriff's deputies say danny luis ran the operation. this stolen property beimg purchased stam from retail theft. commercial burglaries

residential burglaries and auto burglaries ending up here to be resold for a big profit. this case is a great example of how organized retail rings are wreaking havoc across county lines with an increase of retail thefts as well as smash-and-grabs in the bay area. >> attorneys general bonta used friday's announcement as a warning to other criminals, you will be held accountable. you will face consequences. drug was scheduled to be sentenced to serve 6 years in state prison after pleading guilty to committing organized retail theft receiving stolen property and money laundering. i'm rob nesbitt kron. 4 news. >> the conscious, the contra costa county sheriff's department is adding its own man power to try and stop any more retail crimes. officials say a special detail of contra, costa deputy sheriffs will be conducting patrols in downtown walnut creek this holiday season. the response

coming after it. 90 people stormed in raided the nordstrom store and broadway plaza last month on tuesday, the walnut creek city council approves spending 2 million dollars in federal relief money to add extra police officers and security cameras to broadway plaza as well. the city of oakland currently has 676 police officers. that is the lowest level in more than a decade. and it is below the threshold for retaining measures. the funds that measures a partial tax approved by voters in 2014 and helps pay for fire and violence prevention services. city leaders have different ideas on how to address the shortage in officers. oakland. mayor libby schaff says her plan is to immediately hire 60 officers including 20 positions that are currently frozen in the city's budget. >> we are able to put forward that budget proposal through a combination of savings, particularly salary savings

equipment savings. so this act will not result in any reduction of any other services that the city provides. >> the mayor's plan would roughly cost 5.8 million dollars earlier this week. oakland city council president shane she wants to recruit more officers by offering a $50,000 hiring incentive. the council is expected to discuss both plans next week. oakland police are trying to find the people they say robbed a photographer. another journalist of their camera at gunpoint. it happened yesterday afternoon around 3.30, at the west oakland bart station on 5th street. police say the photographer was on assignment with the san francisco chronicle when they were robbed. the photographer not injured. thankfully the suspected robbers flood the area in a car, but police have not revealed any details as to what type of car it was. well, coming up on the kron 4 morning news if you're trying to save money this new online

or so. so a little patience will get something going here. but definitely we need a lot more than we have and probably will be getting here, too. we have a la nina year here. kind of in your face la nina, as we get to next weekend. for now, though, we're dry. we're dealing with the fog. i was trying to show you the south bay here the crane is back. but the important issue is notice how it's still cloudy up. they're going on. that's kind of the point of driving home because a lot of times there. sometimes the fog will make it into the south bay as it does elsewhere. also, we have some coastal flooding to contend with the king tides at it again through 3 o'clock on sunday, flooding through the late morning hours early afternoon. it could be the game plan here flooding for those low lying. lots parks roads. that sort of thing. any places kind of prone to flooding during the king ide. just take a little easy there and some area roadways and bypass and so forth. okay. so what we have here in stormtracker 4 as high pressure controlling things for this weekend. latter portion weekend into early next week. there's a token opportunity for showers a little bit better for the week's end. mid-fifties line

up the east bay shoreline. we've got upper 40's lower 50's up in the north bay. 47 chilly degrees, antioch and 53. meanwhile, san jose, what a run through the wind gusts for the future. the future cast real quickly here. this is sunday into the afternoon. there's a little bit of a pop that happens in some wind sensitive areas. the kind of variable winds that are at work. looks like it's trying to get a little bit of an onshore or offshore wind developing up its county just a touch. so let's to 55 by high noon to 3 o'clock 58 or 60 issue outgoing kind of struggling all day even though we have lots of sun going on here for you. we'll check a little bit more on those longer range forecast models that look good. and the extended as well. sarah. >> thank you. days in national news, a new bill in congress aims to stop the biden administration from giving payments to undocumented immigrants who were separated at the southern border during the trump administration. washington, dc correspondent reshad hudson has more. >> i think that this is

>> a terrifying moment for parents in san francisco. police say a woman tried to kidnap their 2 children. it happened around 3 o'clock thursday afternoon on lake street in the city's richmond district. police say woman was caring for a 3 year-old and a one year-old when aaron williams of sebastopol approached her grabbed the 3 year-old from her arms and tried to run away the victim chased after williams and got the child back. police say williams then tried to grab the one year-old from the stroller but was unsuccessful. she was soon arrested and booked on charges of kidnapping and child endangerment. a 71 year-old petaluma man was arrested thanksgiving weekend for operating an illegal chop shop. the man was coming into san francisco on a cruise ship when the petaluma police department were notified and they met him at the gates. police say wayne krieger has had an outstanding warrant against him since 2019. he was

o'clock during the day. that's today. tomorrow. temperature check mid-fifties lower 50's. also in some of the inland valleys. 49 still santa rosa and 47 off to antioch for the delta. don't forget with the fog in place. you're not getting a lot temperature movement. the breakdown today. 57 looks like by 1 o'clock and 4 sunny skies. as we look you know, just minor warming happening. it will see the fog return again for tonight. more details on this bit a bit of rain. we have for sunday and i'm sorry monday night tuesday but more expected later in the week. sarah. >> we'll look forward to that. for now we're turning to a developing story in the east bay officials find several cases of omicron variant in alameda county. this comes days after the first omicron case in the united states unfortunately was detected right here in san francisco, kron fours, camila barco live in the newsroom with more details. camilla, what can you tell us about this. well, we know that at least a 5 point alameda county have been diagnosed with the omicron variant their symptoms are

mild. but officials tell us that all of them are vaccinated and no one needed to be hospitalized in alameda county, the alameda county public health officer says that these cases are among 12 covid cases in that county. these patients all attending a wedding in wisconsin last weekend. one of them traveled internationally before that event. the group came back infected with covid-19 now 5 of them are diagnosed with the omicron variant and their ages range between 18 to 49 a local infectious disease expert is hopeful that this period may not make people as sick as other variants like delta. >> there are some tantalizing. observations know that people are getting infected with this south african the report from the case is here now and in europe. getting terribly ill. now, that could change dramatically. >> local public health officials are looking for these variants, which is why

we're hearing more of them pop up a state lab used mix sequencing to identify 5 on the kron cases in alameda county. however, that sequencing data is not yet available for all 12 covid cases. in the meantime, officials continue to remind people to get vaccinated. stay home if you're sick and get tested, if you're symptomatic. sarah, back to you. thanks, camila. doctor anthony fauci says there is new evidence to suggest getting a booster shot will protect you against any variant of covid. >> fauci says the extra dose provides a level of neutralizing covid antibodies that could offer protection against omicron, although it's still early to say. >> there's every reason to believe that if you get vaccinated and boosted that you would have at least some degree of cross protection. very likely against severe disease even against the omicron variant.

>> ethan crumbley searching ammunition on his cell phone during class and reported the same to school officials. jennifer crumbley was contacted via voicemail by school personnel regarding that sons inappropriate internet search school personnel indicate they follow that voicemail up with an e-mail but received no response from either parent. thereafter. jennifer crumbley exchange text messages about the incident with her son on that day. staying, quote, i'm not mad at you. you have to learn not to get caught end quote. >> this morning, a judge is set the bond at $500,000 for each parent on friday. the conley's attorneys said they left town earlier this week for their own safety and they returned to oxford to face charges. clearly that never happened. detroit's police chief says the couple had help getting into the building where they were hiding and the person who helped them could also face charges.

when businesses trying to help those experiencing homelessness. this holiday season. >> now through the end of the year. the k shun a vintage clothing store is collecting jackets, blankets and new socks. they plan to distribute the items to people in need. kron four's amanda hari spoke with the shop's owner and has more on what is inspired by this. i spoke with the owner of vacation. it's a clothing store located in the tenderloin. >> she says the neighborhood was hit hard by the pandemic and she had a front row seat to it every single day. she says recently she realized she could do something to help. >> gets a bad rap. and it's sometimes pretty sad down here. but there are some pretty great treasures in the neighborhood vacation. a vintage clothing stores been located here on the corner of our country tes in the heart of the tenderloin for almost 10 years. a lot of folks are sort of has to to come down to the tenderloin and then when they do, they're like by the

shop is so great like i found my favorite thing. get your store vacation owner. kristin klein recently came up with a way to use her story to help people struggling in the area in the spirit of the holidays. if you want to bring in clean blankets and clean wearable coats will make sure that they get distributed in the neighborhood. you get 10 bucks off your purchase of the shop. she said she decided to start collecting warm weather gear to donate to people experiencing homelessness because of her friend calvin he's one of that. he comes by and he doesn't really ask for much. but every once in a while and he says he needs a jacket and we give it one. sometimes you need a blanket. sometimes he beats pair of socks. she says calvin will cry and thank them for the help. she says they want to help more people who are unhoused and living in the tenderloin. she also hopes offering $10 off a purchase to anyone that donates jackets, blankets or socks. >> will help encourage people to shop and explore the tenderloin.

involved. the independent administrative investigative review into the shooting finds the use of force was not objectively reasonable. it says the 4 officers who were on scene tactically responded poorly and violated the police department's de escalation policies in light of those factors. the review says, quote, the chances of a non threatening or even capitulated movement by mister monterrosa being misperceived as a deadly threat. we're greatly increased its frustrating when you know the truth and you have to put you have to. >> continue to scream at the top of your lungs to be heard. sean monterrosa's sisters consider the review of victory pointing to its assertion that the officers involved misinterpreted monterrosa's actions that night as aggression. >> failed to turn their body cameras on in a timely manner and that all of the officers mistakenly thought monterrosa was armed with a gun. instead it's been determined he had a

hammer. we know shot he was surrendering. he knew that when the county law enforcement that, you know, we shouldn't pose any threat to them 18 months ago. the report says officers responding to the looting call at walgreens saw monterossa running towards the car that was leaving and eventually left without him and rammed into a patrol vehicle. that's when the officers say monterrosa moved toward them and as he kneeled on the ground appeared to draw a weapon. the report now says it was the officers who closed the distance and misjudge monterrosa as a threat. it would have been nice to hear the disciplinary actions that we're going to be released with the before family were still pushing for the fine conviction. >> for the attorney general's office to bring charges forward with investigation being done. the attorney general's investigation remains open. the monterrosa's are also still pursuing a civil lawsuit in this case phillipe djegal all kron 4
