balance going remain turn mostly sunny for a good chunk of the bay, but still quite chilly because we have that cold air upstairs. now, temperature check for you. it's 50's all over the bay. take your pick and we're at 50's everywhere. valais old. 51 in the low in got some mid 50's you can see off to the east bay and 52 for san francisco. contrast, by the way, were trailing by a couple of degrees. and that will probably be a lot of the story for today as well. want to point out this fog just briefly, this will mix out for today. very true. as the skies opened up and we will not have return of fog. it looks like tomorrow morning stormtracker 4. again, that system marched over. we're still left with kind of exhaust clouds a bit that will break up for today. your breakdown. i'm expecting some scattered clouds thrown for good measure to plead out of the south bay and some the higher elevations. but mostly sunny on balance for everybody else. highs, though, only in the 60's will be getting more to that coming up in a bit. stephanie, thank you, dave. >> happening today, investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a

plane to crash in the marine headlands or the rim marin headlands rather 2 people died in that crash kron. 4 s camila barco is live in marin county this morning for us and camilla. there's still a lot of unanswered questions this morning. >> yeah, it's still unclear what caused this plane to go down. stephanie, a. >> we are at marin headlands near the golden gate bridge where around this area, the plane went down. as you can see, it's a clear day out here in moraine county. but yesterday's conditions were completely different. visibility was cut short because >> of heavy fog and that heavy fog will be taken into consideration. we're trying to figure out as to why this plane went down. i want you to take a look at the conditions that crews were dealing with when working to find that plane. you can barely notice the aircraft because of the mist and fog happening. officials say that the plane crashed into the hillside of them are in headlines at 12. 0, 09:00pm however they were

alerted about it. about 2 minutes later when the plane's emergency beacon was activated. that's a radio transmitter used in emergencies to locate planes and people in need of rescue. several agencies searched for the plane in the area where the emergency beacon had been activated. the biggest challenge for crews have or was the fog as it hampered their efforts to locate the plane. officials ended up finding the playing 2 hours later on a steep hillside away from roads or trails and inside the plane was 2 people who died. now their names have not been released at this time. officials say an autopsy will be conducted early next week, which could to help determine the cause of the crash. now details about where the plane was flying to and from have not been made available right now. we know it's a fixed wing single engine vans. rv, 10 personal aircraft, a crash near slackers hill just northwest of the golden gate bridge. not

too far from sausalito. and stephanie, today crews will be removing that aircraft from the area. so a traffic alert for drivers and cyclists officials say that they will be closing off men and roads for today as they try to remove that aircraft. and like you said, stephanie, there's still a lot of unanswered. questions at this time. this is still a developing story. and once we know more, we'll be sure to update you on air and online for now. back to you. >> yeah, thank you so much for staying on top of that story for us. camila. happening today. there will be a rally in san francisco to defend abortion rights. it will take place at the embarcadero plaza on market street near the embarcadero bart station. they will host a public discussion on potential next steps to defend reproductive freedom. as roe v wade could potentially be overturned. the demonstration runs from noon to one 30. meanwhile, in our nation's capital, law

enforcement agencies are preparing for protests outside the supreme court this weekend. massive fencing went around, went up around the perimeter of the court building after a draft of the majority opinion on roe v wade leaked the fencing is like the one placed around the u.s. capitol in the wake of the january 6 insurrection. the supreme court is located directly across the street from the capitol. bay area. congresswoman zoe lofgren and su called on the senate to pass the women's health protection act. this would make abortion or rather access to abortion. a federal law right now, democrats don't have enough votes to push the bill forward and many republican senators say they will not support it. >> doctor of choice is personal. it's private and it's serious and we should trust women to make those decisions. >> the house passed the bill last fall, but it did not make it through the senate. not all democrats support it.

california attorney general rob bonta is also speaking up. he says the fight to protect reproductive freedoms will continue. and that reproductive freedoms are non negotiable. he went on to say that if roe v wade is overturned, the consequences could be deadly. >> all people deserve. >> access 2 legal, safe. >> abortion, this if it becomes final, will lead to a reduction in access to safe abortions, people will get hurt. health will be harmed. people will die. and so we're raising our voices to fight. >> you can always stay connected with kron. 4 on our website and on our free apps for the latest on the supreme court. and roe v wade to scan a qr code on your screen there. it will take you to that section of our website. coming up on the kron 4 morning news. the baby formula shortage is getting worse. >> the impact on local milk banks and the action parents are now calling for.

expected to bring out a lot of fans to celebrate the former all-star who led the giants to 3 world series championships. first pitch for that game is set for 4.15. then just about an hour later, the warriors will host the memphis grizzlies in game 3 of the western conference semifinals. >> the series is currently tied to one game. a piece tied at one game apiece, rather. this is the first home game of the series for the warriors. steph curry says that playing at the chase center is going to be a lot different than the first 2 series, 2 games of the series which were played in memphis. >> and home. it's a little bit different just because there's so much adrenaline energy and every shots like to. dow's up that into a little bit. see kind of come a body down your this you not move and not in miles an hour. and rushing for a different reason. just just so excited. >> tipoff for tonight's game is set for 5.30. if you're

our flexpath learning format helps you control the pace and cost of your master's degree. make your difference with capella university. >> welcome back. time now for another check of the weather with meteorologist dave sphar. how's it looking out there day? hey, good morning, stephanie. good morning, change of seasons as what we've got going on here. not feeling too much like spring but more like fall. looks like for several days. coming up ahead, here's a live shot coming to the east bay shoreline. we see the sun starting to peer through some of these little choppy clouds left over cold air aloft. so that coupled with some on shore winds, even with the skies improving will not yield great temperatures today going to on the cool side. lots of 60's for most of real estate. the u.s. some nice patch of blue skies there, golden gate bridge temperature check. we're still in the 50's everywhere. 57 antioch, 53 livermore, east bay shoreline actually warmer in some spots and that that typical cold air grange factor there. so let's

go ahead with what future cast for has to say, clearing skies, a little pesky in some of the higher elevations. santa cruz mountains in the south bay, the clear for a time and then sunday, i know it's mother's day and all and yeah, we've got to put some scattered showers and they're just for good measure favoring the north bay with all of this and it will be cool. actually, some mountain snows come with that a little bit, too. it is even possible in some of the higher elevations say it's lena nashville shores is saying there's a possibility they might even see a little dusting of snow from all this to just kind of underscore how cool it is. okay. the winds on shore, they do start to uptick. mid-afternoon tonight. we don't have any wind advisories posted with this. they may do it later on today as they start. take a look at everything here and then we get to sunday morning around the noon hour. and another wave comes through. that's what the wave of precipitation are. very spotty as it may be, but still marching on through. so we have another system to make note of those onshore

winds. so we kind like a fall like pattern early scattered clouds, breezy 60's, some 70's inland today. now, tomorrow, it looks like it will be cooler variable clouds, sclttered clouds, scattered showers again, favoring the north and all this. we got those chilly 60's 50's at the coast. those are highs, though, next week, unsettled early part of the week. cool 60's and then 70's late in the week. and even that's nothing really great or whatever. but we'll certainly take it with more sunshine coming by the end of the week that today it's going really very where you are and timing clearing up better in the north bay, san francisco in a good chunk of the east bay, too. but that on the south, they will go with 68 for san jose, although it may be a little bit more stubborn to kind of clear out the cloud cover to the santa cruz mountains and mount hamilton. 67 going on for oakland, high temperatures today. we do have a little bit away. some lower 70's there up around the carquinez strait, extending on to the delta. 72 for conquered santa rosa at about 70. more on that in our 4 zone forecast. looking at that extended to stephanie. thanks very much, dave.

>> propose mascot change at an east bay high school is causing some controversy. concord high school could possib y move away from its minute. men mascot kron four's dan thorn spoke with parents, alumni and students. >> it could be the home of the minutemen. no a community survey seeking a name, replacement for concord high school's mascot. the current symbol showing a revolutionary war figure armed with a rifle. the new choices include crocodiles, coyotes and cows among others. i don't think i care. >> just i don't care either way. and if somebody else will strongly change it, good change right? good for the school and >> mount diablo unified schools. superintendent doctor adam clark says the district decided to move away from non-human mascots to allow for a safer and more welcoming environment for all students. one example is ignatius valley high school going from being the warriors to the wolves,

the former mascot included a native american man and a head dress opposition to the mascot. change has been circulating through an online petition. thousands have signed on saying concord high should stay. the minutemen, some concord high parents say they do not see an issue with the mascot. the minutemen doesn't seem. >> too bad that. >> coming up with a new mascot at concord high will take some time once the list is narrowed down and a plan is brought to the board, money will have to be spent to make the changes reporting in concord. dan thorn kron. 4 news. >> for your health, a bay area city is near the top of the list for having one of the highest rates of sexually transmitted diseases in the country. in her body research compiled the most recent std data from the cdc into a city by city list. kron four's amanda hari spoke with a doctor from the san francisco city clinic about the results. >> as you guys are a real problem in san francisco. new data reflects that statement

in her body researching online health and wellness guide. put together a list of cities with the highest rate of stds. >> with 3,150 cases per 100,000 people. san francisco ranked 3rd only behind jackson, mississippi and baltimore, maryland. >> this is part of a long tenure climb. >> sti rates in san francisco in california. >> across the united states, doctor, all of her bacon, a senior position at the san francisco city clinic said it's important to look at what populations st eyes affect most frequently. >> he says those include young people, young people of color, cisgender men that have contact with cisgender men, transgender people of contact with cis men and people experiencing homelessness. and we have a lot of people. >> who fall under those descriptions in san francisco, doctor bacon says the hiv rate in san francisco has declined

over the last decade. >> but the bacterial sti rate has steadily went up. he says doctors are doing what they can to address the sti rate. we test a lot recess. we test this week as much as we possibly can. which may be one reason why our numbers are so high. we're actually finding. >> a lot of sti. he says they even test a lot of asymptomatic people. he says they're trying to make testing as accessible as possible. they have expressed testing at the clinic as well as take home tests. he says another way to address the sti crisis is to prevent because are helpful in preventing bacterial sti is. >> i'm asking your partner's. hey, when's the last time you got tested? are you having any symptoms? he also recommends talking to your primary care doctor about getting the appropriate testing. >> other bay area cities on the list are oakland at number. 72 and san jose at 137 amanda hari kron. 4 news.

>> the shortage of baby formula in the u.s. is getting worse. supply chain issues were already slowing down shipments over the last few months. now, several brands of powdered formula are being recalled because of reported deaths and sickness from bacteria contamination. meanwhile, local milk banks say they are seeing a sharp increase in demand. >> the need for past raised human milk is constant. and we're actually seeing an increase of about 16% over the same time last year. >> parents across the country are calling for lawmakers to take action the shortage is caused major retailers like target walmart and walgreens to place limits on how much customers can buy at one time. still ahead on the kron 4 morning news. >> covid cases are on the rise across the golden state, including in several counties in the bay area. we tell you which counties are seeing the biggest spikes in cases.

>> welcome back. covid cases are on the rise in california. according to the cdc, there are now more than 200 cases per 100,000 people in 4 bay area counties. hospitalization rates remain at record lows, but deaths are still

happening. kron four's rob nesbitt has more on what experts say you can do to help reverse this trend. >> the california has moved away from a color code system. the cdc still uses it to report community transmission. green furlough yellow for medium in orange for high. you can see from this map of the bay area is now considered a yellow zone to the cdc, san francisco county having the highest transmission of covid with around 278 positive cases per 100,000 people. santa are in santa clara and san mateo counties are also in the yellow time for. >> just increased awareness and vigilance around the things we've all been doing for the last couple years. mark mellman is the director of public health at san mateo county. he says cases have steadily been increasing in the last few weeks. but the hospitalizations are a lagging indicator with around 20 residents of san mateo county in the hospital with covid right now. the those systems being able to continue to function, serve us well, we're we're doing okay with that

infectious disease expert at ucsf doctor peter chin-hong says the bay area going yellow is alarming in terms of the probability of catching covid but especially concerning for specific group of people who are older than 65 said. >> immune unvaccinated and an expose. he says there's still a large population who have yet to receive their first booster shot. but he hopes that changes 12 flatten the curve when it comes to treatment. doctor chin-hong says the drug paxlovid is a game changer. really prevents people from going to the hospital. even if you are unvaccinated. >> but you need to take it early enough. so within 3 days to 5 days is a sweet spot and it can prevent 88 89% of people going to the hospital. doctor chin-hong says the increase in covid cases should make employers rethink the office environment for making sure ventilation is good to limiting in-person meetings. >> in the newsroom, i'm rob nesbitt kron. 4 news. >> still ahead on the kron, 4

dave spahr is ready and standing by with the latest on your weather conditions a day. a good morning, 70. good morning, everybody. we have an off air conversation here and she's quick, though. she's she knew you're right. there she is. with that. >> here's the east bay shoreline. nicely lighting up as we see some of this cloud cover depart. there is still some fog. >> trying to spew across the bay a little bit. however, that too will mix out. now on balance is probably fair to call good chunk of the bay, mostly sunny. this today on balance, although in the south, it might be a little pesky in some of those higher elevation areas because we just had a little system march on through. so we're left that cold air mass particular upstairs. and that's important players we get into tomorrow into early in the week as we see some precipitation come our way. but mostly very modest and a little bit over cause medical kit. they're the onshore winds. you see him play single digits to double. now this will pick up in intensity by the mid afternoon and it will be an on shore winds so bit on the breezy to even windy in spots. temperature check for you. well, the 50's is pregnant in the 50's. a good chunk of the

oakland's mayor. >> the latest reported freeway shooting happened around one 15 friday afternoon on northbound 8.80, just south of broadway in oakland. according to the california highway patrol, the shooter fired at both sides of the big rig, the driver of the big rig managed to call 9-1-1 and was not injured. suspect vehicle is described as an army green jeep rubicon in recent weeks. there have been shootings on 5, 80 80 in the last year. at least 5 people have been killed in freeway shootings. since then, there's been a push for freeway cameras. technology only only reason why we can capture committing these crimes because of the deals. >> so i think is so important that we really have to finding ways is on additional cameras, crouch and oakland's chinatown. chamber of commerce president has been helping the family of jasper. wu 6 months ago. the toddler was struck and killed by a stray bullet on 8.80, chp is still looking

for the suspects. we time when they hear a in the kind of sitting on the free it will be upsetting to entire family. so normally i would try to talk to and, you know, hopefully they would much. >> but it's still sue. you know, it's still very difficult for them to out to cope with, you know, losing, you know, you only child. >> in the wake of fatal freeway shootings. oakland mayor libby schaaf supports freeway cameras. a statement to kron 4 reads in part, quote, the mayor is hopeful funding in this year's state budget being negotiated right now in sacramento. among the governor and state legislators will include resources for cameras that off and on ramps of state highways that lead into oakland. a revised budget is expected to be released on may 13 next friday. gayle ong kron. 4 news. >> happening today, san jose councilmember peralez is set to host a town hall on how to comes as san jose continues to

see a rise in traffic related deaths so far this year. police say there have been at least 30 deadly collisions in the city. 18 of those involving pedestrians. today's event starts at 10, 30 this morning in the city hall rotunda. later today, there will be a community event to celebrate jfk drive in golden gate park becoming car free. san francisco mayor london breed is expected to sign the legislation into law after more than 10 hours of debate, the board of supervisors approve the proposal, but disability rights group said the move to make jfk drive permanently car free would prevent those with mobility. challenges from enjoying the park's attractions. i spoke with supervisor rafael mandelman right here on kron. 4 weekend news about this just last week. and he told me moves are happening now to make improvements to the park and get the word out about parking and shuttle options. today's community celebration

starts at 11 this morning. and take a look at this video out of the peninsula. a driver tried to speed away from a dui checkpoint. this happened on el camino real in san carlos thursday night. you can see san mateo county deputies approaching with guns and flashlights and the driver backs up our he backed a part as you saw there just seconds ago and speeds away in the wrong lane. we're working to get more details about this incident from the sheriff's office. east bay. congressman eric swalwell is calling on the federal government to help crack down on retail theft rings. wallace says he wrote a letter to the u.s. attorney general merrick garland and the director of the fbi to work with local law enforcement to stop these types of crimes. according to a recent survey, 75% of retailers have seen an increase in thefts since 2020 while also says for every billion dollars in sales, 1 million dollars is lost to theft. it's terrorizing.

from where that plane went down. as you can see around me, the skies are clear. but stephanie, yesterday's conditions were completely different. visibility was cut short because of the heavy fog. take a look at the conditions that crews were dealing with yesterday. you can barely even notice the aircraft in this video because of the mist and fog that was happening. officials say that the plane crashed into the hillside of them ran headlines at 12. 0, 09:00pm however they were alerted about that plane and the 2 minutes later when the plane's emergency beacon with activated. now, that's a radio transmitter use in emergencies to locate planes and people in need of rescue several agencies searched for the plane in this area where the emergency beacon had been activated. but the biggest challenge for crews was the fog hampered their efforts to locate the plane. eventually officials ended up finding the plane 2 hours later on a steep hillside away from any roads

or trails. now inside the plane was 2 people died at this time. their names have not been released. officials say an autopsy will be conducted early next week, which could help determine the cause of the crash. details about where the plane was flying to and from. have not been made available right now. we know it's a fixed wing single engine vans. rv, 10 personal aircraft and it crashed near slackers hill just northwest of golden gate bridge. stephanie. that's not too far from sausalito. now today crews will be in this area removing that aircraft from where it crashed to a traffic alert for any drivers or cyclists that are headed to moran headlines. so want to make note that consul men and macaulay roads here at% headlands will remain closed for the as they try to remove that aircraft. and stephanie, of course, we're staying on top of this story to try to determine what caused this plane to crash where the plane

welcome back. covid cases are on the rise in california. according to the cdc, there are now more than 200 cases per 100,000 people in 4 bay area counties. >> hospitalizations remain at record lows, but deaths are still happening. kron four's rob nesbitt has more on what experts say you can do to help reverse this trend. >> the california has moved away from a color code system. the cdc still uses it to report community transmission. green furlough yellow for medium in orange for high. you can see from this map of the bay area is now considered a yellow zone to the cdc, san francisco county having the highest transmission of covid with around 278 positive cases

per 100,000 people. santa are in santa clara and san mateo counties are also in the yellow. the time for. >> just increased awareness and vigilance around the things we've all been doing for the last couple years. mark mellman is the director of public health at san mateo county. he says cases have steadily been increasing the last few weeks. but the hospitalizations are a lagging indicator with around 20 residents of san mateo county in the hospital with covid right now. the those systems being able to continue to function, serve us well, we're we're doing okay with that infectious disease expert at ucsf doctor peter chin-hong says the bay area going yellow is alarming in terms of the probability of catching covid but especially concerning for specific group of people who are older than 65 said. >> immune unvaccinated and an expose. he says there's still a large population who get to receive their first booster

shootings, including the one that killed toddler jasper wu 6 months ago. kron four's gayle ong brings us the response from community leaders, including oakland's mayor. >> the latest reported freeway shooting happened around one 15 friday afternoon on northbound 8.80, just south of broadway in oakland. according to the california highway patrol, the shooter fired at both sides of the big rig, the driver of the big rig managed to call 9-1-1 and was not injured. suspect vehicle is described as an army green jeep rubicon in recent weeks. there have been shootings on 5, 80 80 in the last year. at least 5 people have been killed in freeway shootings. since then, there's been a push for freeway cameras. technology only only reason why we can capture committing these crimes because of deals. >> so i think is so important that we really have to finding ways is on additional cameras, crouch and oakland's chinatown. chamber of commerce president has been helping the

>> happening today, san jose councilmember raul peralez is set to host a town hall on how to make the streets safer. this comes as san jose continues to see a rise in traffic related deaths. so far this year. police say there have been at least 30 deadly collisions in the city. 18 of those involving pedestrians. today's event starts at 10, 30 this morning in the city hall rotunda. later today, there will be a community event to celebrate jfk drive in golden gate park, becoming car free. san francisco's mayor london breed is expected to sign the legislation into law after more than 10 hours of debate. the board of supervisors approve the proposal, but disability rights group said the move would prevent those with mobility challenges from enjoying the park's attractions. i spoke with supervisor rafael mandelman here on kron 4 weekend news about this just last week, he told me that moves are happening now to make improvements to the park and get the word out about parking and shuttle options. today's

community celebration starts at 11 this morning. and take a look at this video out of the peninsula. a driver tried to speed away from a dui checkpoint. there he goes. this happened on el camino, real in san carlos thursday night. you can see san mateo county deputies approached with guns and flashlights and then the driver backed up hard and sped off the wrong way. the we're working to get some more details about this incident from the sheriff's office. east bay congressman eric swalwell is calling on the federal government to help crack down on retail theft rings. swalwell says he wrote a letter to u.s. jet attorney general merrick garland and the director of the fbi to work with local law enforcement to stop these types of crimes. according to a recent survey, 75% of retailers have seen an increase in thefts since 2020. so also says for every billion dollars in sales, 1 million dollars is lost to theft.

i'm so happy to be here. and you also brought a special guest with my daughter and i mean, how old are you? 9? >> and how does it feel to have such an amazing mom? and i understand that she also wrote a book inspired by you and other youth in the in the country. so why don't you walk us through that through the new text? yeah. so i wanted to find a book like this for nina, a book that will showcase the asian american heroes making change and our contributions to this country. but i could not find a book like this anywhere. i looked all over online in the bookstore and that's when i realized i have to write this because its 2022, how can we not have a book about asian american heroes, right? absolutely. and you know, i went to the text it actually was quite an emotional experience for me. i kind of understanding the contributions in the history of how far asian americans go back in this country. absolutely. you know, we were 20,000 chinese american immigrants help build the

transcontinental railroad. >> a lot of the laws that happened at the time. you know, the chinese exclusion act sing. we had to get out. we couldn't stay. and these people said, nope, you know, we are here. we are going to thrive. yes, we will. and then we had. and then it just goes into, you know, jeremy and but come on through. and so many amazing people have made such great change in so many different industries. >> yeah. how did you decide asian americans to feature in your text? well, i wanted to have asian americans who, you know, represent not just east asians with south asians, southeast asians, black asians, because we are not a monolith. you know, we are huge group of people from so many different cultures and backgrounds. i wanted to celebrate that. and i also wanted to pick people who had real words of wisdom for the next and also what i thought was notable about the text is the illustrations. and you also went with ap. i illustrators for this. yes. so this is a very unique book because we have 15 asian american illustrators drawing

idea what's going on. the south bay probably around the santa cruz mountains. some of the cloud cover. >> we'll be a little stubborn, though, to clear we're looking for an opportunity of a few showers, too. as we get to mother's day tomorrow, the pacific is kind of opened up for a northwesterly pattern. very much more reminiscent of the winter time pattern. unfortunately, we the the rain, but it's not coated with a lot of moisture coming our way. so it doesn't look like real copious amounts of moisture. but more kind of something to look at 50's as we got along the east bay shoreline, 60 for concord, 60 for antioch and 61 for bottles were getting some temperature movement. and again, a lot of the skies are opening up nicely. the contrast for us as a couple degrees behind in most selective spots or about 0. there are the onshore winds in place. they will be with us all this weekend with the sickly 2 ways. one this afternoon, another one happening tomorrow. the winds will probably be a little bit more active today and it will be coupled with sunshine. so it will be chilly in the shaded areas. 65 at one by 4.

we're talking 66, but again, some lower 70's possible today. we'll get more on all of that coming up in just a bit. stephanie, thank you. dave. >> happening today, investigators are still trying to figure out what caused a plane to crash in the marin headlands. 2 people died in that crash. kron four's. camilla barco is live in moraine county for us this morning. camila, there's still a lot of unanswered questions around this. >> yes, stephanie, we're still waiting to hear from investigators as to why this plane went down today. crews we'll be removing the aircraft from the crash site. and as you can see in different conditions from yesterday, it is nothing but blue skies here at marin headlands this morning. but yesterday visibility was short due to the heavy fog in the area. i want you to take a look at the conditions that crews bring dealing with yesterday when working to find the plane. as you can see, you can barely notice the aircraft because of the mist and fog happening.

officials say that the plane crashed into the hillside of them are in headlines at 12. 0, 9, p m however they were alerted about the plane crashed about 2 minutes later when the plane's emergency beacon was activated. now that emergency beacon is a radio transmitter used in emergencies to locate planes and people in need of rescue several agencies searched for that plane in the area where the emergency beacon had activated. but the biggest challenge for crews was dealing with the fog hampered their efforts to locate the plane. eventually officials ended up finding the plane 2 hours later on a steep hillside away from roads or trails inside the plane were 2 people died at the scene at this time. their names have not been released. officials say an autopsy will be conducted early next week, which could help determine the cause of the crash. now details about where the plane was flying to and from have not been. they have not been made available right now. we

next steps to help defend reproductive freedom. as roe v wade could potentially be overturned. the demonstration runs from noon to one 30. meanwhile, in our nation's capital, law enforcement agencies are preparing for protests outside the supreme court this weekend. massive fencing went up around the perimeter of the court after a draft of the majority opinion on roe v wade leaked. the fencing is like the one you see are rather placed around the u.s. capitol in the wake of the january 6 insurrection, the supreme court is located directly across the street from the capitol. bay area. congresswoman zoe lofgren and su called on the senate to pass the women's health protection act. this would make access to abortion. a federal law right now, democrats don't have enough votes to push the bill forward. and many republican senators say they won't support it. >> reproductive choice is personal. it's private and
