working in here. you can see it coming in from the west temperature. check for you. 33 at the santa rosa. lot of 30's up there in the north bay, even poking out a little bit to the east bay with 39 for fremont livermore. 37 43 san jose. even with some of this cloud cover, we've been able to slip down a little bit below with the reinforcing cold air. we talk about some half a dozen degrees or so behind what we were this time from yesterday of a good chunk of the bay winds there relatively calm at this hour. so the breakdown today graduating up from that point, noting the scattered clouds. temperatures will return close to where they were from yesterday in the mid 60's zone getting into next week. it gets very busy. will be talking about it coming up in a bit, stephanie. all right. thanks a lot, dave. >> in the east bay, investigators respond to a fatal motorcycle accident in crockett happened on the 7800 block of crockett. blvd around 10 last night that cindy crockett hills regional park. no word yet on how this accident happened or how many were injured or killed. we do new. we do know the coroner's office responded to the scene.

gas station clerk is dead after an attempted robbery in antioch kron. four's gayle ong has the details for us. >> police say despite life saving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. >> a woman overcome with grief outside as chevron gas station on contra loma boulevard in antioch, where police responded to a shooting just after 02:00am saturday. arrived on scene. >> they located a male that has been shot officer ashley crandall with the antioch police department says the victim was held at gunpoint investigation. we determined that it was a robbery that occurred here and the commission of that robbery. >> the 36 year-old male for. was shot and killed. officer randall says about 15 minutes after this call, police responded to a shooting just 4 blocks away from the gas station. there was another shooting call in the 2800 block of seville circle here in antioch. at this time, we

cannot confirm that these 2 are related. there was someone shot there. he is in stable condition at a local hospital. back at the chevron investigators combing the scene looking for clues. there was evidence markers that were marking shell casings. there are also also marking clothing items that we look in the parking lot. >> and there are also marking blood stains that were in the park. >> and police say there is surveillance video that captured 2 male suspects fleeing the scene in the newsroom. gayle ong kron. 4 news. >> developing news, a person accused of breaking into a san francisco home and injuring 3 people inside has been taken into police custody. investigators say the break-in happened at an apartment on the corner of evelyn ways near mount davidson yesterday around 07:00pm. when police arrived, they found 2 people suffering from bite wounds and another person found struck by a door. police say a suspect was taken into custody. 2 of the victims were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. the 3rd victim was treated at

the scene. also in the city, one person is dead after being struck by caltrain. college officials say happened before 09:00am they believe the victim was trespassing on the tracks. emergency crews responded and trains were on going in both directions. more than 170 passengers were on board the train at the time. this happened. no one on board was injured. this is the 10th person killed in a caltrain incident since the start of this year. san francisco police have arrested a man who they believe is connected to a homicide in the tenderloin district. police say officers saw the shooting happened just after 10, 20 yesterday morning on the 100 block of leavenworth street. despite a quick response from officers in efforts of emergency responders, the man died from his injuries at the hospital. witnesses helped officers locate and arrest a possible suspect on turk street. san francisco firefighters and the u.s. coast guard rescued 2 people after their boat

collided with rocks by alcatraz island. this happening just before 10 yesterday morning on the west side of alcatraz, the boaters and 3 dogs were rescued within about an hour and are okay. officials remind all boaters to please be vigilant about their surroundings. be aware, weather conditions because those rocks new out that trez can propose a pretty big danger for those who are not paying attention. happening today, more soccer fans are expected to gather in san francisco at the world cup village in union square to watch countries go head-to-head on the big screen there. kron four's camila barco is live for us at the center of the festivities. it looks like you also have an interview set up forest. yeah, good morning, stephanie. we're here at union square. this goes to all the soccer fans. if you are interested in watching some games. >> today is the day to come out to union square where you can watch it on the big screen. and with me have alex altman with street soccer usa hosting watch party to be a little bit about what you guys are doing throughout the next

out of southern california. the suspect accused of killing 3 people and setting their riverside home on fire. >> has been killed by sheriff's deputies. police responded to a call about a person in distress and spotted smoke coming from out from coming out, rather from inside of the home. witnesses told police a man and a woman were are were heard arguing before the fire was reported later, firefighters discovered 3 bodies inside the house. san bernardino county sheriff's department said the suspect was killed in what they called a lethal force encounter on friday. that's what deputies are describing it as of the investigation into the 3 deaths is still ongoing. in the wake of 2 mass shootings within the span of a week, president biden is calling for more legislation on guns and he indicated he might make a move against assault weapons during the so-called lame-duck session in december, getting gun legislation through congress and the new year

>> all right. welcome back. taking a live look outside now at the golden gate bridge this morning. beautiful view of of that bridge. there doesn't look like too much traffic on the roadways. everyone just tucked in bed. nice and cozy with the blankets around them. let's check in with dave spahr for more weather conditions outside. hey, dave. hey, good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. there probably cut revenues covers very heavy it's chilly going on. we've got some. >> kind of a precursor of to what we're going to see middle of the week. so whatever kept your warm last night or whatever, definitely need that coming up the week ahead. >> east bay shoreline shot along the east bay shoreline. again, noting some haze going on there as well. we'll see as much haze of the golden gate. if you're the ground level there. but from a distance, you could see that a little bit and aloft. we do have some scattered clouds are going throw in this forecast. so maybe not as blue as we have from yesterday. the interference of some of that haze going on aloft high cloudiness to mid level clouds just a little bit. not going

to do much for us. 33 going on santa rosa 34th this hour 43. meanwhile for san jose. but just again, a little taste of what we're going to get later in the week. we start our day on tuesday and wednesday as those temperatures will be actually much cooler than that future cast for it doesn't kind of mark that high cloudiness to well in here. just take it to the bank a little bit. and then as we get into tomorrow, it looks like we'll get a bit more with a dry system dropping south will drive some winds a little bit more the way some scattered clouds to will see a temperature drop even during the day, too. here are your future cast winds going on here. not too much today. sure. they start to pick up a little bit tonight. we get past the witching hour. there they are due on shore. typical with a passing front here and then we'll get a little bit of that offshore influence post that with some dry air today, some scattered clouds, basically mostly high clouds, cool 60's except in spots along the coast early week, turning cold tuesday wednesday. the days to watch as we dip into morning lows in the 20's and 30's. and then

for this week unsettled. that's thursday through the next weekend. this looks pretty good. the models kind of agree that we're getting at there disagreeing on time a little bit. but we see several waves that will impact us. and that also means tahoe snow as well. forecast word, 62, san francisco, 64 oakland, 67, san jose. again noting those scattered clouds across the wider bay mid to upper 60's at-bat and there's the drop we can see in the next couple of days. highs on tuesday. lots of sun, but it 58 and a bit. we'll take a look at that long-range forecast for the foursome. stephanie, thanks very much. dave. >> now to the south bay to train stations in san jose may soon become a homeless shelter as part of the city's latest effort to build more temporary housing city council members are considering transforming to valley transportation authority stations cerro ne and cuddle into temporary housing sites with private rooms and bathrooms. the city plans to build 100 spaces in each station. and many of you likely have holiday travel on

25 year-old shannon kuala robinson. she was found dead in a rented villa in cabo san lucas back on october. 29th mexican officials called robinson's death the result of a direct attack, not an accident. a viral video showed another woman beating robinson, but officials did not say that the woman. is the suspect. robinson's mother says that she wants answers. >> and i want justice so i will now owes to be released. i want everything to come because i want the truth. what happened in chair? >> the suspect's mother says the people robinson was traveling with gave different stories about how she may have passed away. an autopsy showed she died from a spinal cord and neck injury. still ahead here on the kron, 4 morning news, we spoke with people nearby who we spoke with. people who saw them. you this muni bus get stolen. >> why they say they're not surprised. it happened.

yesterday morning. and that's even with some scattered clouds making their way known overnight. 45 at this hour for antioch, but cold. 37, meanwhile, for livermore, kind of a little bit of a dry run, if you will, of the cold weather. we're going to experience and those morning hours, tuesday into wednesday, it looks like as we watch a success of systems come here, it is. >> a look at san jose state and there you see off towards the distance, some high cloudiness. you're going to see that all over the bay for today. this is pretty much west to east travel is what we have with this cloud cover. it's not totally committed to cover the skies role thickly. so the sun will make it through both today and tomorrow. but tomorrow we do have some winds starting to develop. so it'll be a little chillier. 60 at 11 by today at 2 o'clock at 66. so we'll be able to manage temperatures very summer where we were from yesterday. not so much, though, tomorrow as things start to turn. and speaking of next week, it's going to be somewhat unsettled as we look toward the latter portion of the week with some rain coming our way. we'll have more on that in a bit, stephanie. all right. thanks a lot, dave. >> and just in to the kron, 4 morning news room here. police

are now investigating a shooting in the 700 block of cain's avenue in san bruno. this is near san bruno avenue. west police say they responded to reports of a shooting around 7 o'clock last night. one person was injured with gunshot wounds and taken to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. police say there is no threat to public safety at this time. and while video shows a stolen muni bus speeding, smashing cars and blowing through stop signs in the mission district police say a suspect is in custody kron four's amanda hari has the details. >> scary video of a suspect driving a muni bus after he assaulted the driver and hijacked the vehicle in this video, the muni crashes into a car. well, making a right turn. police say there were no passengers in the bus when it was stolen friday near courtland and mission streets. the suspect drove the bus approximately a mile and a half. >> before being stopped on guerrero and 19. the owner of

the market and deli nearby says she heard crash jumped out to the then ran up towards 19 ground. >> so that's where they ended up getting him. police came from all directions. the market owner did not want to show her face on camera. she mpsays it was concerning and rushed down the street to see what happened. >> crazy whole bunch of police cars are coming. we're all the police are coming and everything like, oh, so we just locked up and went up happening. also want to stall the muni bus it crashed down there after seeing all this go down. the woman says it's unfortunate. it's sad. >> but we're just used to it should be better when i'm hoping it gets better. >> but doesn't surprise me. >> all right. now to the north bay and new ordinance allows the city of santa rosa to find anyone promoting and participating in sideshows. local police can start isscing fines up to $1000 and cars can be impounded for up to 30

days, which would cost about $4,000. other cities are thinking of taking action to in oakland. a similar ordinance was recently presented to the public safety commission. there. and n reminder for you this holiday weekend, the chp has maximum enforcement period is in place now until tonight, the agency increasing the number of officers on the roads. keeping an eye out for travelers driving irresponsibly. the chp says their biggest concern is impaired driving. 42 people were killed in highway or rather freeway crashes last thanksgiving weekend statewide. the chp made more than 1000 dui arrests at that time. police in santa clara county have an upcoming but gun buyback event in morgan hill. it's happening december 10th at the morgan hill, outdoor sports center. people can get $100 for each handgun. rifle and shotgun turned in and $200 for each ghost gun or assault weapon. now these weapons must be functional

fake deals on gaming console. scammers are advertising incredible deals on x box and playstation on social media. but once you click the link, it takes you to a look-alike web site of a major brand triple check. the spelling of the url fake sites are often one letter off. gift cards are great holiday gift. people can save money by purchasing some from resale sites like gift cards dot com. but scammers are on the site selling gift cards that arrive with no balance. so only buy gift cards directly from brands that you know, and trust. looking for a new addition to your family, scammers create a website or social media post with a photo of an adorable puppy for sale requesting payment via wire transfer or gift card or zelle. they promised to ship the dog with the dog never arrives. do a reverse search to see if your puppies photo is a professionally done. stock photo used on other sites. if so it's a scam. so research breeders on a kc dot org. there's also a ton of fake shipping notifications. a fishy link used for identity theft. only track packages on

the official ups. usps or fedex web site. that was kristen joyce reporting for us. >> porch pirates are once again out of 4 forces holiday season. a new report by safewise a home security website found the bay area has the most package that compared to other metro areas in the nation of the top 10 cities experiencing the most package thefts. 4 of them are right here in california outside of the bay area, sacramento, los angeles and fresno are on this list as well. the report also found 3 out of 4 americans have had a package stolen. the theft of packages went up. 23 1% over just the last 12 months in the south bay kuhn was rescued. happen this saturday morning after it got stuck between 2 fences off or thing. sunnyvale. police say a resident called after seeing this little guy in that unfortunate situation. police posted this photo on their

antioch, where police responded to a shooting just after 02:00am saturday. arrived on scene. >> they located a male that had been shot i wish officer ashley crandall with the antioch police department says the victim was held at gunpoint investigation. we determined that it was a robbery that occurred here and in the commission of robbery. >> the 36 year-old male, was shot and killed. officer randall says about 15 minutes after this call, police responded to a shooting just 4 blocks away from the gas station. there was another shooting call in the 2800 block of seville circle here in antioch. and at this time, we cannot confirm that these 2 are related. there was someone shot there. >> he is in stable condition at a local hospital. back at the chevron investigators combing the scene looking for clues. there was evidence markers that were marking shell casings. >> they're all could also marking clothing items that we look in the parking lot.

>> and there are also marking blood stains that were in the parking >> and police say there is surveillance video that captured 2 male suspects fleeing the scene in the newsroom. gayle ong kron. 4 news. >> developing news, a person accused of breaking into a san francisco home and injuring 3 people inside have been taken into police custody. investigators say the break-in happened at an apartment on the corner of juanita and evelyn ways near mount davidson yesterday around 07:00pm. when police arrived, they found 2 people suffering from bite wounds and another person had been struck by a door. police say a suspect has been taken into custody. and 2 of the victims were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. the 3rd person was treated at the scene. also in the city, one person is dead after being struck by caltrain trade. officials say it happened before 09:00am they believe the victim was trespassing on the tracks? emergency crews

responding and it both directions were held. they were prevented from moving any further more than 170 passengers were on board the train at the time. this happened. no one on board was injured. this is the 10th person killed in a caltrain incident since the start of this year. san francisco police arrested a man they believe is connected to a homicide in the tenderloin district. police say officers saw the shooting happened just after 10, 20 yesterday morning on the 100 block of leavenworth street. the man died from his injuries at the hospital. witnesses helped officers locate and arrest a possible suspect on turk street. well, san francisco firefighters in the u.s. coast guard rescued 2 people after their boat collided with rocks by alcatraz island. this happening just before 10 yesterday morning on the west side about the trash, the voters and 3 dogs were rescued within about an hour and are doing okay. officials remind all boaters to please be

this video, the muni crashes into a car. well, making a right turn. police say there were no passengers in the bus when it was stolen friday near courtland and mission streets. the suspect drove the bus approximately a mile and a half before being stopped on guerrero and 19. the owner of the market and deli nearby says she heard it crashed jumped out to the then ran up towards 19 ground. >> so that's where they ended up getting him. police came from all directions. the market owner did not want to show her face on camera. she says it was concerning and rushed down the street to see what happened. crazy whole bunch of police cars are coming. we're all the police are coming and everything like, oh, so we just locked up and went up happening. all someone just stole the muni bus. >> it crashed down there after seeing all this go down. the woman says it's unfortunate. it's sad, but we're just used to. it should be better. and

on contra loma boulevard in antioch, where police responded to a shooting just after 02:00am saturday. arrived on scene. >> they located a male that has been shot inside establishment officer, ashley crandall with the antioch police department says the victim was held at gunpoint investigation. we determined that it was a robbery that occurred here and the commission of that robbery. >> the 36 year-old male for was shot and killed. officer grandal says about 15 minutes after this call, police responded to a shooting just 4 blocks away from the gas station. there was another shooting call in the 2800 block of seville circle here in antioch. at this time, we cannot confirm that these 2 are related. there was someone shot there. he is in stable condition at a local hospital. back at the chevron investigators combing the scene looking for clues. there was evidence markers that were marking shell casings. there are also also marking clothing

items that we look in the parking lot. >> and there are also marking blood stains that were in the park. >> and police say there is surveillance video that captured 2 male suspects fleeing the scene in the newsroom. gayle ong kron. 4 news. >> developing news, a person accused of breaking into a san francisco home and injuring 3 people inside has been taken into police custody. investigators say the break-in happened at an apartment on the corner of juanita and evelyn ways near mount davidson yesterday around 07:00pm. when police arrived, they found 2 people suffering from bite wounds and another person struck by a door. police say a suspect was taken into custody. 2 of the victims were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and the 3rd victim was treated at the scene. also in san francisco, one person is dead after being struck by caltrain caltrain. officials say it happened before 09:00am they believe the person was trespassing on the tracks. emergency crews responded and trains were on hold going in

both directions. more than 170 passengers were on board the train at the time. this happened. no one on board was injured. this is the 10th person killed in a caltrain incident since the start of this year. a san francisco police arrested a man they believe is connected to a homicide in the tenderloin district. police say officer saw the shooting happened just after 10, 20 yesterday morning on the 100 block of leavenworth street. the man died from his injuries at the hospital. witnesses helped officers locate and arrest a possible suspect on turk street. san francisco, firefighters in the u.s. coast guard rescued 2 people after their boat collided with rocks by alcatraz island. this happening just before 10 yesterday morning on the west side of alcatraz, the boaters and 3 dogs were rescued within about an hour and are okay. officials remind all boaters to be vigilant about their surroundings and be aware of weather conditions as those rocks near alcatraz can pose a pretty big danger to those out on the water. happening today,

weather to talk about all that coming up in a bit, stephanie. all right. thanks a lot, dave. >> developing news, police are now investigating a shooting in the 700 block of cain's avenue in san bruno. this is near san bruno avenue. west police say they responded to reports of a shooting around 7 o'clock last night. that investigation does continue this morning how a person was injured with gunshot wounds and taken to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. police tell us that there is no threat to public safety at this time. well, video shows a stolen muni bus speeding, smashing cars and blowing through stop signs in the mission district in san francisco. police say a suspect is in custody. kron four's amanda hari has the details for us. >> scary video of a suspect driving a muni bus after he assaulted the driver and hijacked the vehicle in this video, the muni crashes into a car. well, making a right turn. police say there were no passengers in the bus when it was stolen friday near

for people who are like, oh, gosh, should i be opening the fridge back up to to get some more leftovers? well, first, the reality check, but studies show that most the average american gains 5 pounds to 7 pounds from thanksgiving to new year's. and so just so people know what 5 pounds looks like because it may not sound like a lot, but 5 pounds of that is this much. so think of this visual one year. >> eating all those extra sweet because late game comes from the butter that refined sugar, the re fine flour. so all those cookies and candies and and things like that. so kind of think of that visual lot. my case, it's always say show me that every year. so i kind of control that that wasn't a real saying effect, though, right? that was no,

it's not like this, ok? don't featured self up for, quote, unquote, being bad. >> a lot of people start talking negatively to themselves when they they overeat. just just let it go. she did it and let it go and don't beat yourself up. don't say anything to yourself because i hear this a lot people scolding themselves telling themselves so we can so stupid. i can't you know, i couldn't control myself. don't talk negatively to your south. don't say anything to yourself that you would say to your best friend. and you know, another important for that. you're also making as well >> you know, it's important not to just suddenly stop eating. >> right. i know that the 5 pounds, the 5 to 7 pounds on that slide. you that not very flattering, right? but people should shouldn't just stop eating. right. so a lot of people will say, ok, i'm going to eat all of this tonight.

>> because starting tomorrow, i'm going to start my going fast. well, you know, when you do that and when you think that way, you are actually giving yourself permission to overreach. and that's not healthy either. and then also when you're eating a lot of saturated fat, that also throws off your hunger leptin grehlon. and so you're actually going to have the stronger drive to eat those same foods. so it's just not realistic. and then also don't negotiate calories to hear this a lot too. well, if i eat this 300 calorie cheese cake, then i'll just go jogging for 3 miles. tomorrow are the on the treadmill for 3 hours. but and that makes exercise a punishment. and you want exercise to be something that feels good. it makes you feel good because it's not going to become a habit. if you don't feel those rewards. another

point that you wanted to make as well it's important to learn from past lessons, right past lapses. a walk us through a bit about what you're thinking about. >> really learned don't dwell on the past. stay in the present. i don't think you know, i just was so bad. >> but think about okay. what happened to you know, what was it? what emotional trigger was was driving need to eat and learn from that. a lot of people eat emotionally, but it's very unconsciously. so when you one of the other things i want to say is don't diet. you diet leads to what i call the 3 d's deprivation defeat in depression. and those are all negative emotions. and that's the trigger. generally some kind of you have some kind of emotional trigger. and generally it's a negative one. and then it's you're going to have the strong desire to eat and then. and it's generally a

comfort food. you know that pete said the cookies, the candies and then you're going eat that and then you're going to to overeat because you're actually not feeding your physiological hunger. you're feeding your emotional hunger. and that's just insatiable. and then you're going to feel really bad about yourself and you're just going to get stuck in this emotional eating cycle over and over again. and it's very difficult to get out of that. all right. thank diet. no diet. that is the key thing. just kind of take it easy and be kind to ourselves exactly. and it's follow and healthy eating plan. all right. thank you so much to our health expert, karen owoc for joining us again today. it's a pleasure as always. here's deafening that by. we'll be right back.
