7:45 am
good morning, everybody. and this a pattern is a little different in some what we've been seeing. a lot of this is because coming in from the south has been hitting the peninsula, santa cruz mountains a lot heavier and the north bay comes in as an afterthought. now we're starting things off in the north bay and it's kind of changing its shape and size, but expected to kind of trail right across the bay throughout the day today, filling up the rest of the bay at the day progresses. you heard about what's going on in tahoe. winter storm warning until 04:00am on monday. this could greatly be expanded later on because we see successive waves coming into tuesday. but there you have couple of feei to be added to this. the snow levels are still fairly high, though. they're not getting up to where these warnings are not getting down to 5,000 feet, even for 3 again, because this moisture is coming from the lower latitudes. so that makes it very wet. places like, well, we are, but it doesn't give a lot of snow to the lower elevations. they need to lock that up there. so that's issue that's not great with all of this. and sometimes we get some pelting on top of
7:46 am
rain that's being added to win the levels change around here. we've got rain forest, though, rather from monday into tuesday. as you can see up in tahoe. stay tuned for additional statements on that front. they're all lined up for us in the pacific. there's another little break. looks like as we get to the latter portion of tuesday into wednesday and that may not affect everybody as we get later in that time period there that may favor the north bay, ok, let's take a look at the short term here. here it comes. railing on into the day today. so we've got kind of light rain. and, you know, a little bit of that heavier rain trying to build throughout the day in pockets. that is then tonight. here comes the more intense rain. this is the type that will bring some thunder shower action with that because we have the volatility going on in the atmosphere aloft. that means also some hail, too. this is sunday morning and then we get a break funny about news time and it looks like on sunday morning sunday afternoon. get out, do what got to do. maybe even some rays of sun poking out or a little bit before that shoe drop sunday night into monday.

and, long lasting gain scent beads. try gain odor defense. be gone, smelly everything! >> welcome back to kron. 4 morning news. good morning, everybody. we're tracking yet another series of storms coming our way. going to give you some idea about timing and all of that right now. it's pretty light. there you have it up in the north bay. let's pan over here. up in the north bay is where most of the action is spreading out towards the south of looking at rainfall totals. and again, it's very modest for now. no complaints, but free models for right now. there's some eper moisture to be had upstream here. so this around the noon hour or so, we'll start to spread across the wider bay at that point. zoning in a little closer, as you can see, most of the concentration is up there to the north bay. but it looks like some is filtering down the tri valley a little bit, too. san ramon and point south. the current winds are coming off shore, strangely enough, at least in the southeast in the south. and that's the trend all this week long because the sec, the we're in is a relatively
8:16 am
milder air mass, which has more moisture in it. contrast that with sometimes the northern pattern and sometimes after a storm system goes through, we get that offshore wind event. we really haven't they getting that kind of consolation for well over a week. back to that timing. and i mentioned earlier today is more of a lighter rain event filtering through the day today with embedded heavy rain and all that. there you see the deeper moisture finding a prevailing across the bay early afternoon. then it really starts to pick up. as you can see, just continues. onward overnight. we're stopping in here about the witching hour. good news is the latest model run. contrast with say 12 hours ago pushes this through little faster. so we do clear out sunday afternoon might even see some kind of raise a son going on here. so this gives you another dose of time to prepare for any problems that are nearby. there you have it in terms of a break on sunday afternoon and at the very end of this loop way down here. that's monday morning or actually late sunday night into monday morning. as we deal with another heavy load
8:17 am
and even into tuesday morning as well winds. let's get to that part of the forecast. the official statements as to 01:00pm today, i think with the weather service is trying to do here is they want to make a division between what we're going on this weekend. ok now, looking forward into early next week with success of the one we have ends at 01:00pm tomorrow. but the winds, as you'll see, still kind of continue a little bit sunday afternoon. and this is that next storm system. i mentioned sunday night to monday and this will probably have its own package later on certain other thing we don't need to see. but this will probably be the advisory strength level, but it's still possible. might even have a high wind warning to get out monday morning. looks like some winds really start to pick up there who's up today, rather rain and showers early breezy. it's a relatively light rain events compared to what we've been through wind advisory with us as we talk about tonight tomorrow. that's that heavy rain, thunder showers possible without inhale. early showers. rain clears out the next week watching monday and tuesday morning. so is the big hits

later. successive rain showers are going to be more discriminatory where they hit in the bay, mostly in the north bay here and not quite the breath of the whole bay as much. but it looks like it's wet all the way through next weekend. upper 50's for high temperatures there. rainy for everybody and temperatures in the big board you see in the mid to upper 50's as well next couple of days again, sunday afternoon to break monday that heavy rain continues. we're going to build on this longer-range. give you an idea into next weekend. coming up in just a bit, stephanie. all right, dave, thank you so much. >> in the north bay, some families in murray county finally got their power restored. but that could change with this next storm. kron four's terisa stasio spoke with residents and brings us this report. >> it's been a rough couple of days for some people here in marin county. they had no power. so when the power did come on on this friday to say the least, they were grateful. >> now he no sound machine. everything's the just know
