there. you have it to give you an idea. the snow. check it out. >> this is what we're getting for now. there is a winter storm warning that was posted just to cover us until monday morning. then they take a break as we're taking it than monday night for the next system. there's a winter storm watch at that point. here's what we've got going on here. here's a nice break for monday. more snows and snow showers know how the temperatures do drop to lower 30's. by the time we get into tuesday wednesday with our next storm system. so that's what the watch party is about wednesday afternoon through wednesday morning. i'm sorry through monday night through wednesday morning. this warning is until monday morning for what we're getting right now. and that's know those. those will continue. and then our next batch is what we're really watching now going to show you rainfall totals coming up in just a bit. and you get an idea real quickly, why there's no flood watches or anything like that posted because quantitatively, it's pretty much done. its biggest hit right now. the rest of it is just going to be maybe not quite annoyance rain depending on where you are. there may be some still little cells left over what you give
7:49 am
you a good down poor at times. very, very briefly. but it's going to be that often on annoyance rain with the puddles already in place. here's futurecast for to give you a general idea. watch the north bay. that's where concentration of the heavy rains will be. briefly breaking up for the afternoon tonight by tomorrow morning. you may even see some rays of sun, but certainly everybody shares and that in the afternoon, this is the break we're talking about on monday. soak it up again because there's another dose coming. that is a bigger hit than what we're experiencing now that may post some statements coming from the national weather service giving you timing on all this about when we'll take it out to about 05:00am. and it's just getting going. so maybe the early commute may not experience that sometimes these models can go forward or come back. so if this is what looks like by 5, we think maybe another model run. they push it further or push it back and let the early morning commuters get a break before it really pounds. so here's what it looks like today for the rainfall totals. take the buckets, empty them. and here's how much we're going to
7:50 am
collect for this afternoon. look at how much the bays not getting here in many locations are just a trace up in the north bay as where the line sure will be in some cases up to maybe half of an inch or so. so the heavy rains are going to be pretty much concentrated there from this point forward. again, kind of a not a nuisance rain type thing that will continue just about all day. so we're taking care of that for right now. break, boom. here's the next storm system. look at that. surging towards our south. so it's going to be hanging around here for quite a while. it is producing some mountain snows down to southern california. this is now march as we talked about earlier and look at san francisco, the bay area, it just church for over a day. so the tuesday morning commute all the way to potentially wednesday morning. we may be still dealing with this problem. i suspect that's going to cause a flash flood watch. but they're waiting to get past this before. they probably post anything additional another system to watch kind of cut off low, but it's pretty fortified very nicely. there. this takes us to sunday night for another shot of rain again, nocturnal. that's kind of good to get a rain at night before it exits.
7:51 am
so hopefully we'll get a break after all of that. that's going to be sunday, april, before you know it. so the seven-day forecast is quite busy. we do pencil in here, potential for some thunder the higher elevations with all - of this. and there you have your highs pretty much contained at about 60 check out the lowe's at around 40, but some 30 still left over. stephanie. >> all right, dave, thank you so much for that update. all eyes are on the east bay's own saint mary's men's basketball team as they gear up to take on duke on this afternoon and the ncaa tournament sports reporter griffin haas is at mvp arena with the latest. the saint mary's gaels are back in round 2 of the ncaa tournament. the team held a closed practice today ahead of their >> matchup with 4th seeded uconn tomorrow. the gaels have dropped their last 2 matchups in the second round of the ncaa tournament including last year's loss to ucla. they'll look to buck that trend. saint mary's use their size advantage inside and win over.
