different story. so this is what you're going to see at the coast a little bit here. maybe your travels if you're heading along the coast down south, we'll be dealing with the cloud cover a little bit later in the day. contrasted with elsewhere around the bay. now, tahoe, if you're headed that direction looks pretty good, except that will be cool by the standards of what was and what will be will be in the upper 50's before we start popping through the 60's later in the week and nice little warm up going on for everybody in that 50's across much of the bay for right now. palo alto at 60. 57 meanwhile for san jose, 67 antioch in a 61 to come in for santa rosa. the traffic coming in west to east. yeah, but no dips happening here. substantial dips. that is to bring us any rain already. real frontal action in terms of driving some good, solid winds. just the general flow pattern of onshore as what we expect. but i do want to make notice some of those winds that are hugging the coast around here. as you will notice, they're pretty consistent day and night. there is a pop with winds happening a little inland to driven by the topography and just the general heating of the day.
9:46 am
but the winds along the coast will be a nice climate control for today. and even tomorrow, 4 zone forecast. 64 san francisco with the coast. yeah. upper 50's lower 60's bayside middle to lower 60's in the north down south, even upper 60's is the best and the south bay. the other issue is clearing out this cloud cover, which is still kind of hanging around the south bay. that clearing may not beat around noon or so that will cost high temperatures today. lower 70's will go with meanwhile inland. we're looking at lower 70's for pleasanton and livermore. 68 union city. but up here to walnut creek. at 75 get some movement there. 77 for concord. meanwhile, 70 from allay 77 for napa in 79 for santa rosa. a little drop with temperatures and away. we go for most of the week at sunny skies. some scattered clouds to make note of. it looks like on friday as we start to drop back a little bit heading into next weekend will be some winds to look out for onhat. but it's still a spring time forecast, but a dry one, stephanie. >> all right, dave, thank you

for your health. we're talking feet today. april is foot health awareness month. and today our health expert karen owoc is here to explain why your foot health is so very important. so nice to see you. too. i did check out your shoes before. think we are going to be getting very hands on today with the demos. >> so, you know, first of all, walk us through why it's so important that we talk about our for the health of our feet at the health of their feet. and a lot of people don't think about it when we think about longevity. and so foot mobility is when you lose the mobility in your feet, you actually literally lose the foundation of your balance. your ability to move and your ability to kind of stand upright and so very important that we we talk about the feat today, right? so i brought my friend he's the front of the wow. this is how in truck hit
9:48 am
is located. has 26 bones so between the 2 feet combined. that's 52 bones. and so that is one quarter of all the bones in your entire body. well, ok, so it's it's does a lot of work and has different joints as well as over 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments and over 7,000 nerve endings. so you're just a yes, we're feet to work. so into work. and so. first of all, all the sensory information you get from your feet goes up to your brain, right? and it's telling you had to move in and where your feet are in space. and it also takes all the schock from your body whenever you're jumping and landing and it's taking the shot of your way. so we have to take care of our feet. yeah, absolutely. something that we really do take for granted. so many of us we do. we do. and one of my patients as the have knee pain, hip pain, no back pain.
9:49 am
i always look at the feet because it all starts down there first. you know, very interesting. yes. so when you walk, so this mandate will frontier. haha, you walk on been you take you take a step and then you you flatten the foot and then you push off the 40% of the their weight bearing it takes is taken up by the toes and especially the big toe. so the big toe does a lot of work now, when you have you have some, not that. yeah. so it's very important that these feet face toes have to move. so if they are tight inside the little sioux, it's not going to be able to move very well. that makes sense. yes. so like after a day in heels, it's a good idea to kind of put your fingers in between the toes and release all red and the car. that's a good idea because you know
9:50 am
what? i happen to have wider feet. and even with like with a lot of women, the shoes are just that that the fronts they just taper in. and so for me to wear those, yes, shoes, even. so it's it's specially in it that you can walk barefoot at home. that's a great idea. there's also these little total isaak. so get your feet could be free. but there's a little gripper on the bottom. my mom loves those the on the bottom of the song. yeah. and to have your feet free. also they have the little toe socks that, you know, has a little toes on it, too. and then the group's help prevent slipping to. yes, just so important, right? zach lee. so one of the things that you can do not use us as an assessment is that i ask my patients too, stand up on their toes. okay. and some people can't even stand more than maybe an inch off there because the toes are very or the ankle is very steph. you really be a very flexible ankle to to walk. you're doing
9:51 am
this. so what i recommend so you should be able to raise your heel. this of and place it on top of like be able to set a tennis ball your foot if you're coming up all the way and the way you should. so that will take practice if if you now, one of the things i like to do is the site's the foot help. listen, things up will help increase blood flow. and so what i'm going to have you do is take this fall. it's a lacrosse ball as i and place it under your foot. so see all the muscles in the attendance here. you're going to roll at ball from the big toe all the way down the arch to the and really put some pressure on it. might feel some knots or some trigger point. you know, that actually feel surprisingly good. may not realize how many little muscles you have in your foot or how tight they are, what
9:52 am
not you have until you actually do this exercise. yes, kind of pleasantly surprised, actually. yes, and yes, this is a good news. you're standing in doing that. you could also sits down and do it because you then you can put even more kind go work. you're all the way down from big toe to the heel and just keep working your way all the way through those. they're even more muscles under under this. right. so that's very, very vascular and musculature in your foot. that's fast. so that's called a it's kind of like self self mile fassel release, ok? that is a fancy word for self massage with the what other ways can people help to their mobile to gripped marvel's get 20 marbles and griffin with your toes one at a time and put them in a little bowl. so it's really working on the muscles in your toes. so try to pick up pickup with your toes with your toe, put it in. and once
9:53 am
you get 20 and then do the other side, ok? so you really need it's really important to have that flexibility. mobility in your toes. so here's the thing. i know some people, their toes are exactly what they don't necessarily can pick things up with their toes. i don't think that they were just born what they might say they would really benefit by standing on this tip of the stair and really start doing he'll ways okay. and and really working the and working that out and and maybe they might need bigger marble for for if they're there to do that. really stuff. but okay. all right. well, very helpful tips as always from a health expert, karen owoc solely to see this morning. i you to all right. well, we will be right back us. what exercises? haha.
