tomorrow. maybe a few little scattered clouds passing. here's the latest check what the winds are going. mostly single digits, coupled up with double digits off to the far east bay little bit and the carquinez strait also along the coast, a little breezy areas to mid to upper 50's. now 64 for antioch. we have 54 up to santa rosa. 58. meanwhile for san jose, again, lots of sunshine on tap. nice temperatures to 73. well inland. get used to it. there's more on that 7 day forecast as well. i'll have details later. stephanie. all right, dave, thank you. breaking overnight, 2 people are dead and 3 others wounded after another mass shooting. >> this time and washington state police now have a suspect in custody. that shooting happened around 8.30, at the gorge amphitheater campgrounds about an hour north of yakima. it happened during the beyond wonderland electronic dance music festival in a campground just outside the concert venue. the gregc county sheriff's office says the shooter was among those wounded. officials say

the gunman fired randomly into a crowd of festival goers before being taken into custody. the rest of the festival is canceled for now as the investigation continues. and also overnight, one person is recovering from injuries after fiery crash involving several cars in rodeo. this happened on i-80 west near cummings. skyway near crockett. one person was sent to the hospital. all lanes are back open, but the off-ramp is affected. expect delays. and it's now just over a week since 9 people were shot in san francisco's mission district kron four's amanda hari spoke to one of the survivors. family members. >> thank you. just me that he was like 03:00am hoping that he would be able to see his girlfriend and our again, the gilcrease star was one of the 9 people shot in the mass shooting in the mission district on june 9. >> he's been in the hospital ever since under the watchful eye of nurses, doctors. >> and his brother christian,

hitting milestones every day friday. miguel head, his chest tube removed. >> christian says even though he lives in seattle, he spent most of the past week in his brother's hospital room. he says he didn't sleep friday night as he waited anxiously for his brother to get out of surgery was like hoping and praying for the best. >> lake also fearing the worst. miguel has had several surgeries on his liver kidneys. diaphragm, braids and yet a breathing tube for the first few days. but he's now breathing on his own and talking in short sentence. it's christian says miguel remembers what happened. remembers hearing things that sounded like fireworks. >> and the next thing he knows he you feel something to make. bag was on his site covering the area where he was he moved to the back the soft. but coming out of the side and he told his friend who was

started him, got to christian says miguel was conscious and remembers the ambulance ride. >> trying to joke with the emt's to lighten the mood, even though he for his life. now it's christians turned to be scared. >> i definitely am like more fearful of like my brother going now you know, he works in the city and his girlfriend lives in the and so off here like. watching. watch your back. >> that was kron four's amanda hari reporting for us this morning. the family is trying to raise money to help pay for miguel's medical expenses. a memorial service for alexis. gabe was held last night at thdiablo valley funeral home in concord. went missing in january last year after visiting her ex-boyfriend in antioch, family and hundreds of community members spend the following months looking for her. her remains were found in november north county. her father gwyn, gabe spoke with kron 4 at the memorial.

>> so far we've only recovered about 75% the remains, but we're not going to stop until we find the rest of the don't think ever be we lost our daughter. she's but we are not done. think if were just getting started. >> the service was open to the public. a funeral procession is planned for tomorrow afternoon at one. and the public is also welcome to that. only the gabe family will be allowed inside the crematorium for their last good-bye. and now to an update on the snow fire burning in napa county. that fire now 65% contained. it started around 6 friday night along snow from valley road in pope valley. that's about half an hour northeast of calistoga cal fire sending plenty of resources, including 18 fire engines, 2 air tankers and 2 choppers crews will continue to work to strengthen containment lines and put out hot spots. and you might call this a whale of a tale. a palo

the alameda county fairs a kickoff to summer. so, you know, today is father's day. you know, families come on. now we've got a nightly concert. we have a movie on the lawn at 06:00pm. obviously we're in the carnival. we've got a lot of some live horse racing as well. movie which movie are talking about have the boss baby on our concert lawn this evening. and we were actually talking about concerts earlier. you. what's your guys is concert line? what performers can we expect? yes, so we have bay area's own e 40 coming out. we have joe nichols, leann rimes and even just mccartney. and when it comes to actually organizing affair in putting together, it's a lot of work. how much work to is put into this and how many visitors you actually see every year? yeah. so i mean, just to put it into perspective, we are already working on fair for 2024. so, you know, it is a very long process, but it's incredible to see it all come together. and as for guests, we're playing around 425,000 to 450,000 guests. we're just excited to get everybody through these gates creating lasting memories with their

friends and family. we talk about county fairs, we're talking about exhibit its vendors, food. a lot of people come down for the food. let's talk a little bit about the exhibits. are there new exhibits this year? yeah, i mean, we try to incorporate obviously there are some of the classics of people are coming back for every year, but we always try and have either new competitions and stuff for people to look out for every summer. and we're actually talking about a butterfly exhibit, correct? correct to, you know, you can get up close and personal and feet. some butterflies, very food. we are going to talk to a vendor later on this it sounds pretty me. do you mind telling us a little more about this vendor? yeah, of classic fair corn dog. feel like a lot of people are coming to the fair. they want their corn dog. i'm the spender has been around for a really long time. so we're looking forward to go talking to them and, you know, just a little more about their family and their business. and sounds like it's a make your own corn dog kind of set up, right? we will be making our own corn dogs. but, you know,

it's so it's a nice start to the day. we'll see quite a bit of sunshine here. but what's different is we're going to see more in the way those winds and in some cases will be a little intrusive. >> no wind advisory posted with any of this, but still it will be quite active again. here's the east bay shoreline. there's your haze off towards the distance. a little fog for the right to. you can see just sandwiched in between and above us. nice blue skies. and that's what we should see for today. a lot of blue skies again, some high cloudiness to come to pass. but those winds are around today and also into tomorrow with auction of temperatures going forward as well. here's kron 4 go forward on futurecast for not much to see clearing up in. not much happening up in the mountains either in terms of that afternoon, pulsating of rain want to stop this from monday morning because we do see some scattered coastal clouds working there. you can see in the santa cruz mountains a touch, but then that will mix out pretty quickly by monday afternoon. so monday looks pretty sweet, too, but actually will be probably one of the coolest stays in the week. so we're getting kind of a flavor of more of a spring time forecast than summer onshore winds. here they are

all day today to get quite active late in the afternoon evening. well, in the 20's, we do it again for your monday. even to start never really settles down along the coast and then excuse me into the evening hours. we're still well in the 20's in the 30's as we speak right now, there's no statements for this. even solano county, but it's really close. and in some spots, it will be getting close to that threshold. they're a bit so wendy's probably a fair description to talk about of those winds, sensitive areas today. tomorrow off the half moon bay, we do have some coastal clouds hanging here, though, of got some clouds to start. and then we've got clearing going on mild for 70's and 80's or so early into the week. mostly sunny and cooler. that's monday will be our coolest day. got windy on tap for monday as well. then late in the week, we warm up a little bit midweek and then drop back down again. the singsong type pattern is actually more like a spring-like one than summer again for today. 64 going on san francisco. 68 not as warm

>> all right. good morning, 7.29. this sunday. welcome back to the kron. 4 morning news. let's start this half hour with a look at our father's day forecast today. >> 70 good morning. good morning, everybody. it's a pretty nice sunday coming our way today. lots of sunshine, even to start the day in most locations, although a couple little problem areas. yeah, along the coast, some of this cloud cover kind of remains a little bit. the fog clouds and so forth. this should probably break up, though, for us as we get to around noon. but around the bay is looking pretty good right now. now a law for mike to be sprayed by some high cloudiness both today and will be some coastal clouds tomorrow. but on balance, it's a lot of sunshine and no real interference. the fund that we're getting, it's going to drive those onshore winds. that's a feature today. and also tomorrow, upper 50's and our most. the readings are telling us 55, for example, half moon bay. 68, meanwhile, off to antioch, 59 for concord and 58. meanwhile, 4 san jose

county senior sentir to spotlight elder abuse awareness month. the flags represent the number of suspected abuse reports in sonoma county last year. the campaign is being led by the county's human services departments adult protective services and senior advocacy services department. the county says they got 6,029 reports of suspected elder abuse last year and another 949 cases of alleged abuse were reported to a program which investigates allegations of abuse in nursing homes. we district ing. it's a process of drawing up electoral boundaries for elected officeholders. but for years there have been questions over equitable representation and lack of trust in government. our capitol correspondent eytan wallace explains. >> well, the something member behind this bill says in some of the state's largest cities and counties, redistricting process lacks transparency and importantly lacks an independent process. and now he says it's time for i its

face some opposition due to concerns, select jurisdictions may not have the resources or money to fund an independent commission. brian is confident they'll have time to plan for it as he moves forward with the bill. he argues is necessary even more than building trust. creates a process that's participatory. folks can engage. folks can get activ . we've shown time and time again that an independent process. >> is the right process. so let's not peace, milling and leaving communities behind. let's do what's right for all of california. and the bill now heads to the senate. brian tells me he's confident it will receive enough support there to make it to the governor's desk. >> reporting near sacramento eytan wallace kron. 4 news. >> los angeles city council is calling for a criminal investigation into the recent shipment of migrants from texas to los angeles. it wants to know whether the transport of migrants lead to illegal human trafficking, kidnapping or other crimes. a bus carrying 42 people, including 18 children, arrived at union station on wednesday after a grueling 23 hour drive. some

of the migrants said they have had no food or water migrants from florida and texas have also been shipped to other major cities across the country. 140,000 people left california last year and now a small northern california county could be leaving as well. a group of residents are calling on el dorado county to secede from california. it's home to fewer than 200,000 residents and home to the southwest portion of lake tahoe, changing the state's boundaries does require both the approval of congress and the state legislature. consumers don't seem ready to slow their spending despite high interest rates. latest commerce department report shows retail sales were up 0.3% last month. this includes physical stores online retailers and restaurants. it also reports an increase in all categories except gas stations and other stores. many economists predict spending will eventually slow. ticketmaster owner live nation and seatgeek have announced they will no longer have it in

the shooter was among those wounded. officials say the gunman fired randomly into a crowd of festival goers before being taken into custody. the festival is canceled for now as the investigation continues this morning. also overnight, one person is recovering from injuries after a crash involving several cars in rodeo. this happened on i-80 west near cummings. skyway near crockett. one person was sent to the hospital. lanes are back open, but the off-ramp is affected. expect delays. it's now just over a week since 9 people were shot in san francisco's mission district kron four's. amanda hari spoke with one of the survivors. family members. >> thank you. just me that he was like 03:00am hoping that he would be able to see his girlfriend and our again, the gilcrease star was one of the 9 people shot in the mass shooting in the mission district on june 9. >> he's been in the hospital ever since under the watchful eye of nurses, doctors.

fact juneteenth is now a national holiday. it's just a beautiful thing to be able to experience that. >> and what is the message to viewers june 2? >> all we're just celebrating. we're celebrating life celebrating song and that every faith can get along. and at our last poll and we had 22 faiths for our entire court, organization, we have 300 singers and we have 20 faith, one of which was baseball. >> that's great. i love all right. so how can people, in your view start the discussion around racial injustice and how important is and the importance of within the community in general? we had a lot of conversations about this over the last couple of years. and i think this to have it be a celebration. it's such a great invitation for people of all backgrounds to connect. and that's really been our mission agency for

almost 4 decades is to bring people of all walks of life together to learn from one another. and we use the vehicles music. and so we invite people to come to our concerts again next friday in livermore and on sunday here in san francisco at great american music hall. and we really encourage people to get together. we also we have a community choir as well as our a professional choir, right? and so people can join the gospel choir, which reverses every week they can join the community choir, which is once a month and we now have 5 youth choirs. adopted the oakland youth chorus this year. and so our members now are ages 5 to 100. and as parents and you know, 25 plus faith traditions, all backgrounds, all walks of life. and so we really value the opportunity of this holiday to learn from one another. and when we talk about it, but we talk about it with intent to inform. >> and that to change. and the assumption is i come to you in

>> in my home city of los angeles. so we need to change that. but we need to change that a statewide scale and he's well on his way to making that a reality open roles. his bill passed the assembly last month with more than three-quarters support. not a surprise to brian because he argues it's an idea that has worked elsewhere statewide, an independent non-partisan commission draws lines for legislative and congressional districts and several counties, including fresno, kern and san diego have their own commissions as well. and while the legislation did face may not have the resources or money to fund an independent commission. >> brian is confident they'll have time to plan for it as he moves forward with the bill. he argues is necessary even more than building trust to create a process that's participatory folks can engage. folks can get active. we've shown time and time again that an independent process. >> is the right process. so let's not peace million leaving communities behind. let's do what's right for all of california. and the bill now heads to the senate. brian tells me he's confident it will receive enough support there to make it to the

can say i'm a bit, but i've added that one of my favorite breakfast food. so me to delicious and i'm going to put that together with another classic a b l bacon lettuce, tomato, avocado. that's different. we're going to combine and really show dad how special he has. so we're going to get started. i have my english muffin, which is traditionally what you use for and eggs benedict and i poach the eggs. but, you know, stephanie, it's father's day. dad wants his egged and differently. make dad the egg that he enjoyed a scramble. sunny side up whatever. he's he's feeling exactly. so we have i'm just going to put off to the side because it was in the hot water. we're going to assemble this. >> to gather. so the first thing we're going to do when you make any of the sandwich is a blt. we've got to start with the all right. so we have our delicious bacon here. we're not going to be skimpy because dad loves bacon, right? so we're going to give

him several pieces of bacon. why not? we're going the lettuce part to and then, of course, a nice piece of tomato, eric, go. then, of course, we're going to do the avocado part because i don't know about you, but i love the blt with the avocado on it. i think that makes it even better tasting and gosh, this time of year, we have such great, delicious, fresh fruits and vegetables from our farmers. absolute. why don't we use so i'm going add my 8 now to the top. but i know this seems a little intimidating, but we're going to add our delicious hollandaise sauce to this. all right. now. holidays can be tricky, but i promise you i make mine in the blender, ok? it's just the eggs and the butter and a little bit of delicious lemon to cut through some of that fat. but look at how loudest love the holidays often makes the benedict
