7:15 am
lying fog gives the appearance of kind of overcast skies. no worry that will break out. but here's what you can see a lot and look how much that by relative standards, how much that fog is being pushed out of the ground here. get up there about 1500 feet and boom, sunny and it's a tease, something degrees and so forth. so of typical inversion checking in that will correct itself and mix out with the sun. joining us here temperatures meanwhile, mostly 50's for the east bay, 65 antioch, up north. got those 50's 48 for 55. for half moon bay's 63. meanwhile for san jose. so for today, yes, it'll take a little while in some spots, the kind of clear on out. but we'll get there basically mostly sunny as probably a fair description for most of the bay by this afternoon. also the continuation of a little bit of a flare up happening in the mountains that appears to be more cloud cover in the afternoon and maybe a little token shower there. that will be south by the way of tahoe. then we get into your sunday. does the same thing. but watch this trick. boom clears on out a little quicker than that. and we'll be back to the
7:16 am
business of mostly sunny temperatures appear to be pretty much the same as today. we still have some problem areas that numbers are stole. but on the lofty side, everybody's double digits. yes, but some places are cracking better than others. and it basically is to the north. it's a little better then to the south because that's where the relief is coming. so in the south bay, you to be a little toasty in spots there. still mid to upper 90's at work here. before we get the changeover, there are the winds in place you can see driven by inland heating. this is all good staff. we have this low in our backyard kind of helping out a bit. it's way up north, but it's still doing the trick and it takes that first slice away that we talked about. but the second slice is going to come by tuesday. that's going to be more dramatic. and that has a little chance of maybe a few little isolated little showers thrown in their second timeout. kind of all stacks up early bay fog and sun. sunny. that's what been talking about. still hot for the south bay 90's. well inland, that means the east bay, too, tomorrow, kind of more of the same. still very warm. that's called 90's inland. 70's and 80's working for the bay there with a lot of 70's. but still
7:17 am
me scratch about 80 or so. meanwhile, we get into next week, there's another cooling hit on your tuesday. that's the big drop. and with that, we might get a couple little scattered showers thrown in there. just more cosmetic than anything. but because it's such a potent system, we run that risk 80's happening well inland. we need to lower 80's at that. and then by friday, we bounce back to around 90 yet there's yet another system towards the end of next weekend. that also looks pretty strong as well. so we're going to a nice pattern here like fall. looks like it's trying to fight in here to try to say, hey, let's have some seasonality here. let's have some change. so for today, we've got sunny 71 going on early fog and clouds and all that business, which we have. 77, oakland, sunny and warm, 89 sunny and still toasty and are going to see some 90's. plenty as you get down to the south. 96 for antioch again, an 89 san jose, the east bay shoreline there, those 80's still stubborn. 77 oakland 80's. meanwhile, up north next couple of days to note all this we've got 94 today isn't a number to work
7:18 am
with 93 for your sunday and monday dropping to 88 this half moon bay. they have kind of overcast right now. so in stages, you look at like a pump. that's kind of thing. you're in already autumnal. i'm still kind of hanging on to some or something i don't know. but, you know, the cars go well together, though. the blue in the yeah. all right. thanks a lot, dave. >> well, francisco business owners are left picking up the pieces after a fire thursday damaged 5 small businesses. and one of them is georgia's doughnuts and merriman, which was set to have its grand opening in just a few weeks. george is co-founder leah dunham shys they're mostly cleaning up smoke and water damage. she says she was eating lunch across the street when she saw the smoke from the fire. adding it could have been much worse. it is thankful for the community support during the rebuild. >> since it was a pretty live scene for a while, most of it was closed off. so i know a lot of residents want to help, but there wasn't much he could do. so, you know, i'm running
7:19 am
around getting sweeties waters and people were definitely helping me actually tactic. we carry those things and which is always very, very kind. i think mostly it's just people checking in and see how we're doing, which you know, best we can ask for. >> despite the damage, thankfully, there were no injuries. the cause of the fire is under investigation. california. senator murray alvarado gayle is being accused of harassment. the senator represents on north county and the accusations come from her former campaign manager and chief of staff and attorney representing the senator says the employee fabricated and outlandish story. the senate republican caucus says the senator is fully cooperating with the investigation. a bill that would have helped undocumented immigrants purchase homes in california is now blocked. capitol correspondent eytan wallace explains why governor newsom rejected that legislation.

7:22 am
compound in cannabis that can make you high. newsom says he's especially concerned several products like thc infused gummies and this thc, root beer bottle are too easily accessible for children up places like retail and grocery and that's why newsom's new regulations say hemp products for consumption must have no detectable thc. anyone wishing to buy a hemp product must be at least 21. and each hemp package may have no more than 5 servings. newsom says supermarkets and retailers must get rid of their thc, hemp packages right away. and we want parents see something like this to walk right up to the cashier and say what the you have this on on the shelves for. what are you promoting? get this off the shelf. and as for the governor's plan to hold a special session on oil and gas prices. well, just days after some members of his own party said they would not participate. >> now they've changed course in the governor says he's confident it will move forward
