joyful. just feels so good, right? yes, that's why i got into the business. i've been doing stand-up in the bay area for over a decade. and it's my love and my joy and i started producing good medicine in 2020 white was from my during the pandemic. yes, from my kitchen table. we had all our stages close. so i wanted to start up a fundraiser for tribes impacted by covid. sure. and that's how we started. and since then we have grown immensely travel the country. but from the new york city twice this year when this is our 3rd show in the bay and actually performing next week in georgia at emory university. yeah, so we're crawling. we're expanding and we're featuring the top native talent across the country and in canada as well. so it's just exciting to see this moment speaking a moment to me, what do you get from these moments? what what personal satisfaction do you get from this? >> i mean, honestly, it started off a little bit selfish because native comedy shows are few and far between because everyone's on a different, you know, side of
8:51 am
the country. so when i first got started, i got to do a few shows where i could do jokes that the native audience would understand just a handful. >> and then once we were getting our time zones, correct in twenty-twenty all the sudden we had several native comedians on a single line up and i was like, oh, this is amazing because hoping that i would love to perform with and i never had before. and so we really had a chance to see it work. and we we did our first show at cal shakes in 2021. we sold out. we actually sold out our local museum show, but i told them, i said, hey, i'm going on the news came really smart tickets you can buy right now and they yes, they did also not more tickets so we can great folks were messaging. i can't get him. >> so check out museum ca dot org to get your tickets today and checking what mentors did you have for me in the bay area has are rich history. far as comedy, there was all kinds of great clubs. i remember going to years ago in san francisco. so what would lead
