looks like for the next few days as we look for a nice warm up into early next week. first things first, a beautiful shot from the golden gate. i promise you its there. but the towers covered up right now. ground fog is just trying to lift off above the surface. our winds are kind of variable right now. so not the traditional onshore flow we see in the morning hours back, the fog business for the most part of peels off most of the bay. however, i think it's going to be problematic at the coast parts of san francisco a little bit in southern marin a little bit. we continue to get that on shore flow a bit. and with the air aloft, it's warm. it's really hard to move the surface air too much. we have temperatures right now in the 50's for the east bay. also up in the north bay, a little cooler in the lower 50's at that. 58 for san jose and quick comparison trailing by a couple degrees this morning. the breakdown for you today. this is inland now will open up the skies by midmorning and away we go. 85 already by 2 o'clock. now big time. warm up is expected early next week. we'll be talking about it in a bit. stephanie, right, dave, thank centers. a taekwondo

instructor convicted of molesting 2 teenage girls can still work with kids and teach classes according to the court involved. >> now the victim's mother is speaking out for the first time kron four's jeff moment reports. >> this is a picture of girls like surprise me with been dogs just like any other parent. she thinks the world of her 2 daughters, fathers. we are old has this is what a lot of this stuff is happening. but she's even more proud as it's been 5 years since her daughter spoke out against their longtime taekwondo instructor. >> and family friend andrew side, man who taught her daughter's taekwondo for more than a decade. so the girl saw a big brother, robin knox says he abused that power. a group of kids camping. >> and he would be sleeping in the tent with all the kiddos. eventually the daughter spoke out and was charged early

2019. his case was then postponed for years due to pandemic restrictions. but on monday, he will be sentenced, convicted of molesting mob in dogs, 2 daughters. you would think there was a gratifying feeling on this as a parent? >> i place my kids in his hands. so him being arrested. i can't tell you how that really feels. now. part of his sentencing is that still has to spend 60 days on house arrest, which he's already done because the case has been delayed so many times. another component is registering as a offender under megan's law for up to a decade. but one of the big issues that the parents have is that, sir, is still the owner of this taekwondo studio can still work with children even after his sentencing. >> another big issue is that the offender registry laws say since he is the owner of this taekwondo studio, it's really up to him to declare himself as a offender to families and he had his rights taking care of. >> now that he's guilty, who's protecting the innocent?

>> we reached out to the district attorney's office and they never gave us an explanation as to why he can still work with kids. they also told us, sir, has to report his offender registry to his students. but when we clarify the part of the law that excludes business owners, they didn't respond. >> this is a loophole in our law. >> there needs to be something to protect our skits more. >> as for mama knocks daughters, both went on to graduate college she's proud of their courage and they stood their ground to speak their truth. and in it. they did it to protect others. with this chapter of someone's legal battle behind them. has this message for parents, just no one with your most valuable asset. because moment that is damage. it is hard to fix. now we tried to reach out to and russell with 2 different phone numbers. we tried to reach him on facebook. >> email and instagram and we have not been able to hear from him. but the district attorney's office did tell us

if he does violate any part of his sentencing, he could serve prison time reporting here in san jose. jackie moment kron 4 news. >> in the east bay, a shooting in brentwood injured at least one man. but what police say they responded thursday night to the area of sand creek road near stoney creek drive. officers say when they got there, they found a man with a shotgun wound. he was taken to a hospital is expected to be okay. but what police say they detained 6 suspects. this shooting is still under investigation. and police arrested a man accused of killing his ex-wife nearly 40 years ago in daly city march 12, 1985, martinez was found shot to death in a car in the garage she shared with her. then husband raphael martinez. he reportedly called a friend to confessed to the shooting and left the city the same day the da's office says martinez was in la for about 4 days and fled to mexico and then settled in el salvador. that's where the now that's where the now 78 year-old was recently found and arrested. he is

being held without bail. 18 year-old may not survive his injuries after a shooting in antioch. it happened just before 12, 30 friday afternoon near karbala, road and sunset drive. police say when they got to the scene, they found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. investigators now looking into a motive. so unless the governor has a different proposal. >> that is going come up with something better. folks like me are left with no other option. >> any up mayor lamar hernandez thorpe is urging other city leaders to support prop 36. a measure that would increase penalties for retail and drug crimes. this comes after governor newsom expressed opposition to it. now any oaks mayor says reforms already passed by newsom help combat large retail crime operations. but many small businesses still face petty theft. he also says the measure would offer lifesaving resources to treat people struggling with drug addictions. >> at the local level, we don't have anything. my.

>> region is unique as an eastern contra costa county. there are no homeless shelters, know congress at homeless shelters. there are no places for people with mental health issues go to. and so we've been left to dry. and that's not fair for the citizens of antioch. it's not fair for the citizens of eastern contra costa county. >> in response, newsom says if passed the bill would have significant consequences for marginalized communities. and now to a big story this morning, the bay areas getting hit with tech layoffs once again, cisco says it's laying off more than 800 workers. the company plans to cut more than 560 jobs at san jose office. more than 140 people at its milpitas office and more than 130 workers at its san francisco office. the job cuts take effect november. 15th. ibm says it's cutting more than 50 jobs at its san francisco office and more than 50 jobs at its san jose office. those layoffs take effect november 18th. and

because that layer, but you which you saw right there, however, where the camera is is very warm and that's a little different than yesterday. that makes this a challenge because warm air is less dense. so it's like having a blue on top of you. and this is cold, dense air to get this to move. talk about kinetics year and it's hard to get those kind of it's going even daytime heating up to get the the ground have to eat the the air right above it to get this stuff out of the way and get it mixing with the airlock. now it's a little drier aloft. that's true that we had yesterday. but it's that warm air that sometimes a challenge show for san francisco. we're probably going to see this cloud cover the leftover fog and whatever clear, slow today again. but maybe a little better than yesterday. 59 going on for open right now. we have the upper 50's in the far east bay their up north lower 50's. 58. meanwhile for san jose futurecast for if you look carefully, you'll see yeah. along the coast, san francisco, although it looks like it's clearing southern marin, we might have again, some of those overcast issues,

the thin out then out then out, maybe get the peaks of sun and there and then it's like 3 or 4 o'clock. and then the fall comes rolling back in again. so not a lot of opportunity for some sunshine that's going to keep temperatures along the coast. cool. this is textbook our micro climates checking. it's going much different view, folks. well, inland, start to see some numbers get up to around 90 today. going all the way out will sunday, as you can see in the evening, there is still a little problematic but improving. and then as we get into early next week, that probably won't be as much of an issue is a big time warm suppose in the background here, which has, by the way, about a half-hour delay early bay, fog and clouds and all that business then turning somewhat sunny, nice 70's for the bay 80's inland will be maybe an 80 here. they're for the bay. but then tomorrow, better coastal clearing 70's and 80's for the bay. now, 90 ish inland, which today we might see a couple of those even happening too. but more tomorrow, then early next week, the gloves are off monday. tuesday, we're racing to near 100 for some of those hot pocket to get in contra. costa county quirkiness straight little bit up a

guests. thanks so much, dave. >> well, today is national dance day and evidence shows that movement is medicine. medical experts say regular activity can improve our physical fitness in our mental health. and here in the bay area, the san francisco ballet is offering free dance classes for those affected by parkinson's, a disease that can impact muscle movement. and the mind. joining us live now to share more is ballet instructor, cecilia, being good morning to you running. thank you for having me. of course, it's such a pleasure to have you here with us this morning. tell us a bit about this program. this program is so wonderful. so near and dear to our hearts. >> san francisco valley school about 8 years ago opened up the studios, gave us p anna's give us so much support too. have people with parkinson's come to the ballet school and do a dance class. and because we are a ballet school, try to incorporate a lot of belly into our classes. so we have a wonderful group of people. they do class once a week on

saturdays. and then also online virtual class. so it's really nothing but just a wonderful, wonderful opportunity for the valley school as well as for me. and what sort of exercises do take people through and can anybody participate in this? yeah, so people are welcome to come. i love it. when people bring their family members, children, grandchildren, we've even had come people with parkinson's to come take class. and so we start seeded cat and we do warm ups and other research shows that big expanse of movement as it's really helpful to people parkinson's. also rhythmic movement and accorsi quinn saying really making sure that people are learning the combinations in the crayon graffiti cat. so those 3 things kind of inform how that class is held. so we start seeded and then we go to the ballet barre and do our regular ballet exercises. and then we come to the center. but of course, if somebody is more comfortable, staying seated, they can take the entire class seeded. we've had

people who are wheelchair-bound coming class and can really participate in the entire class end. do you take sign-ups for this service as well or how can people rsvp, perhaps thank you. go to the website and my email is right there. tell you right now see beam sicilia being at san francisco ballet dot org. and you can just it just in class and we will invite you get register dual registration and you just have to give it a try. you don't know if you're gonna like until you give it a try. so people come and many people have been with me the whole time. all 7, 8, years and some people kind of come and go. so it's it's a great community. and i want to do. do want to allocate a little bit of time here to talk about the benefits of movement and la dance for folks with parkinson's of. can you walk us through how people who participated in the program really benefited from it? so as you mentioned, movement is the medicine for people with parkinson's and it really

helps people to stay a little bit. you know, more open, flexible and it really challenges their mind to learn the choreography into practice. it. we just gave a public demonstration at flower piano, which was a wonderful opportunity for them to really learn the dances and have to memorize them, which is good for their mental status. and just the physical opportunity to stand at the ballet barre and to have beautiful posture. do all these things it's good for anybody really, but it's particularly good for people with parkinson's, senn tested. and since we just have about 90 seconds here would love for you to walk our viewers through some basic exercises they could do at home as well. oh, okay. well, we're celebrating 90 years of a very important ballet to the ballet world, which is serenade balanchine's ballet, the first belly he made in this country. and so we take that kind of choreography and get inspired from it. and so one of the things we did a recently, a

flower piano is due some of the gestures from that ballet, which are very famous wall. and then it's a neo classical ballet. so it has these little fun movements. and then we do think something like that high. hi hi. >> and little stretches or just fun. things like that and the music we have a pianist in is just so it's an artistic experience. as much as it is a physical experience. i love that. you can also do this seated as well. yes, absolutely. absolutely. and are the things that people can do with their feet. you'll notice if the cameras able to show i did wear my belly. anything you recommend for folks who might be sitting on the sofa at home right now will push away from the table. fish away from the >> and just really try to set up nice and tall and do your regular ballet exercises. many people i know studied ballet when they were little. and so it's always a good idea to do your port de bras right before breakfast open. and stretched

get you started this half hour with a look at the forecast with dave spahr who was course in the weather center today. hey, good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. and it looks like we're starting our whole trend of warming up for you, folks. well inland. >> around the bay, we're still having negotiate through this fog business here and we'll have some problem areas throughout the day today to getting stuck a little bit along the coast may not get as good of clearing we will get later on in this forecast period for right. first things first. where is the fog? well, the ground level as you can see this, the mount tam picture here and there you see that layer right above us. now, the issue is that right above us, the air is very warm. so warm air is less dense. so it's hard to get this cold, lethargic care to kind of mix out with it, but it is drier. so give it a little bit of time to these mechanics. meanwhile, sfo, we have about a half-hour delay cooking because of this as the fog bank is kind of in place a little bit. there watching things in motion. boy, you see that really clear up pretty quickly. but again, there'll be some snags around san francisco and the coastal

areas. it looks like a pretty clear out. southern quick are we have temperatures in the lower 60's for the east bay lower 50's. meanwhile, up north 58 meanwhile for san jose and today plentiful sunshine, particularly inland. now those temperatures starting to warm a little bit more. so 85 expected by 2 o'clock in some areas may tap at 90. don't do it today. well, you have a good shot at doing it by tomorrow and then into monday into tuesday. next you have the gloves come off and have more about that and what it looks like for your 4 zone forecast for today because the microclimates are checking in. stephanie. >> all right, dave, thank you. 3 alameda police officers charged in the death of mario gonzalez could cut their could get their charges dropped. the defense argues the da did not file the arrest warrant within the three-year statute of limitations. well, it was whilippe djegal was at the courthouse in oakland where gonzalez's mother responded. >> he was elected you are. my will nearly 3 and a half years after her son mario gonzalez was killed in alameda police custody. eat of our analysts

pointing outside alameda county superior court friday morning for a judge to look past a technical error and maintain involuntary manslaughter charges against the officers connected to her son's it started with a welfare check and turned violent when officers through gonzalez to the ground and put pressure on his body, which an autopsy says contributed to his death. was walking a one, but many of way. >> need pay it. thank thank you all. that her knees representing the defendants arguing necessary follow-up documents including a probable cause statement and an arrest warrant were not filed within the three-year statute of limitations. on friday, the judge heard from both sides and expects to announce a ruling by the next court date october. 11th. >> last december, the city of alameda settled a wrongful death. civil rights lawsuits with the gonzalez family exceeding 11 million dollars no way this judge to take

procedural >> use that as a loophole to walk cops. these in court, prosecutors called the procedural snafu, unfortunate and not do the mishandling by the current da's office just before signing initially the officers were cleared of criminal charges by former district attorney nancy o'malley. then pamela price took over and reexamined the case leading to the involuntary manslaughter charges. >> in oakland, philippe djegal, all kron 4 news >> and this is, of course, a very high-profile case for da pamela prize. she campaigned on holding police accountable and as just reported, the defense is seeking to dismiss the criminal case against the officers involved, arguing the da did not file that arrest warrant within the three-year statute of limitations. but prices offices arguing otherwise. we spoke with our legal analyst michael cardoza on how he says he sees things shaping up from here. >> from my reading of all the legal documents in this, the

da did not follow procedure. but then like i say, as a judge then kick this case out of court and not give the family their day in court. but then you had pamela price who won the election because this is what alameda county voters wanted at the time. and that's have their police prosecuted by price. she's doing exactly what she said she would do. but notwithstanding that the people in the court room and the attorneys on the line didn't follow the law in this case. didn't follow proper procedure. >> we will continue updating you on this developing story as it unfolds. and as a police confirmed, multiple school threats were made just this week thursday morning social media posts started circulating with threats of a school shooting that was followed by text messages warning students, students say that those were forwarded to several schools, meeting them in a panic.

>> we the rumor was. >> that in for island at 3 p id and then everybody come out on the field and then they would shoot the field up. >> like really scary. everyone was like crying and like screaming, wanted to go home before 3rd period because they thought we were like coming to shaw. >> this all comes just weeks after a school shooting in georgia where 2 ce teachers and 2 students died. multiple others injured. there. san jose pd has yet to say what the threats specifically were. but they confirmed with us that those threats were violent. as of now they're asking anyone who hears or sees a threat to contact 9-1-1, immediately. a man and a woman have been convicted in the deadly shooting of a 71 year-old man in san francisco's twin peaks neighborhood. that is decor and la monte mims are accused of robbing and shooting and were french at the twin peaks lookout in 2017. police say the victim visited the location to take photos. that's when the pair robbed him for his camera. he

struggled to hand it over. that's when he was shot of the 2 suspects, then tried to sell the camera less than an hour later. they are expected to be sentenced in december. a break-in caught on camera in san francisco. check this out. you can see that truck crashing into the front of a convenience store tuesday night. this happened at the 17th and balboa market in the city's richmond district. the owners say the group. they went off. they left the area with hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets. so they stole that from the store. police say that it was a group of at least 4 people involved. investigators later identified the car involved here and were able to arrest suspects. one of the market's owner says crime has been an issue for a corner store stores and that part of the city. and she's glad police made arrests. >> i'm very relieved because you not we i'm just hoping that sends a message for all those other teacher people

that's trying to do bad things to good people out. here in san system, why why target has business owner when we're working really hard to serve our community? >> police say all 4 burglars were arrested in oakland, 2 of them. we're trying to cash in on those stolen lottery tickets at a store on 14th and adeline streets. the days of going in person to apply for a passport renewal seemed to be over. the state department just launched a fully online application process. our dc correspondent raquel martin explains. >> renewing your passport. just got a whole lot easier for the first time ever. you can complete the process fully online. americans can pay upload a photo and complete their applications totally online. >> without having to go anywhere in person, the state department announced the changes this week to meet a surge in demand. data shows more americans than ever are catching flights abroad.

think goes well the way out to monday. and this is the morning fog progress. not too impressive. so it shows you its waning and we should see improved skies. of course, we're going to a heat spike checking in to the winds. they are on shore, but they're not particularly really strong with. that's important because that brings that marine layer in the fortification as we lose it to aloft. we have to replace it. if we do that, helps us clear out a little quicker. so the lack of these winds may actually help clear out a little quicker in san francisco. looks happen. southern rental quicker today. alright, longer-range here. this low. that doesn't seem to want to go away. funding gets ejected of the southwest. we warm up as we talked about. but interesting enough. but this is way a lot. 500 millibars up there. but the this is warming up up to the north, not so much in. so cal, a little bit because we have pesky low this to the south there as well. still going with their heat spike in the monday into tuesday. then a quick change happening. wow. look at that thing. maybe they breaks up and everything. we don't get much in the way of any shower activity from it. but it is a front in it. we'll do the trick breaks. the heat

stephanie lin. we have a lot to get to this morning. start by getting a look at the weather with called i'm just looking forward to fall ok of today's the last day that's right. next time we talk at this hour tomorrow it will be fall. yeah, good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. >> yeah. the last full day of summer going to start feeling like that a little bit. a few folks well inland, but along the coast will be saying, what are talking about? the patients are going to be seeing a nice warm up for you folks to early next week. first things first, though, boy, we have this fog around again. here's the shot from san jose state to show you the extent paul far it's pushed inland. then we return to the traditional golden gate. and there you see it in place there. this is one of the hard areas to kind of cleared on out. it's the port of entry to get that marine layer in and with the onshore winds will probably see that throughout the day. so just watching how the fog peels away from most of the bay area, at least to the surface, does a nice job. but you might still have quite a bit of fog clouds lingering along the coast for this afternoon. there are your winds pretty inactive now at this hour, only single digits and kind of variable. but the trend will be onshore.

temperatures for 50's and 60's mixture. and that's somewhat close to where we were this time from yesterday. a touch cooler by a few degrees will cooler down south to particularly 5 degrees behind. and for today, the inland, we're going mostly sunny by high noon shy of 80 at 78 87 by the mid afternoon. and this is a warming trend into early next week. it's a brief one, but another heat spike is coming our way from monday into tuesday. we'll talk more about that coming up in a bit. stephanie. all right, dave, thank you. >> a san jose taekwondo instructor convicted of molesting 2 teenage girls can still work with kids and teach classes. according to the court involved. now, the victim's mother is speaking out for the first time. pope was jack moment. reports. >> this is a picture girls like surprise me with all the dogs just like any other parent. she thinks the world of her 2 daughters, fathers. here we froze. has this is what a lot of this stuff is

happening. but she's even more proud as it's been 5 years since her daughter spoke out against their longtime taekwondo instructor. >> and family friend andrew side, man who taught her daughter's taekwondo for more than a decade. so the girl saw a big brother, robin knox says he abused that power. a group of kids camping. >> and he would be sleeping in the tent with all the kiddos. eventually the daughter spoke out and so was charged early 2019. his case was then postponed for years due to pandemic restrictions. but on monday, he will be sentenced, convicted of molesting mob. a dog's 2 daughters. you think there's a gratifying feeling on this as a parent? >> i place my kids in his hands. so him being arrested. i can't tell you how that really feels. now. part of his sentencing is that has to spend 60 days on house arrest, which he's already done

because the case has been delayed so many times. another component is registering as a offender. under megan's law for up to a decade. but one of the big issues that the parents have is that, sir, is still the owner of this taekwondo studio and can still work with children even after his sentencing. >> another big issue is that the offender registry laws say since he is the owner of this taekwondo studio, it's really up to him to declare himself as a offender to families and he had his rights taking care of now that he's guilty, who's protecting the innocent? we reached out to the district attorney's office and they never gave us an explanation as to why he can still work with kids. >> they also told us, sir, has to report his offender registry to his students. but when we clarify the part of the law that excludes business owners, they didn't respond. this is a loophole in our law. >> there needs to be something to protect our skits more. >> as for knocks daughters, both went on to graduate college. she's proud of their

courage and they stood their ground to speak their truth. and in it. they did it to protect others. with this chapter of someone's legal battle behind them. murray has this message for parents. just no one with your most valuable asset. because moment that is damage. it is hard to fix. now we tried to reach out to and recite with 2 different phone numbers. we tried to reach him on facebook. >> email and instagram and we have not been able to hear from him. but the district attorney's office did tell us if he does violate any part of his sentencing, he could serve prison time reporting here in san jose jacmel. but kron 4 news. >> in the east bay, a shooting in brentwood injured at least one man. but what police say they responded thursday night to the area of sand creek road near stoney creek drive. officers say when they got there, they found a man with a gunshot wound. he was taken to a hospital and is expected to be okay. but what police say they detained 6 suspects. the shooting is still under investigation. and police

arrested a man accused of killing his ex-wife nearly 40 years ago in daly city on march 12, 1985, and martinez was ound shot to death in a car in the garage she shared with her. then husband raphael martinez. he reportedly called a friend to confessed to the shooting and left the city the same day. the da's office says martinez was in la for about 4 days, then fled to mexico and ultimately settled in el salvador. that's where the now 78 year-old was recently found and arrested. he is currently being held without bail. in a 2 year-old may not survive his injuries after a shooting in antioch. it happened just before 12, 30 friday afternoon near karbala, road and sunset drive. police say when they got to the scene, they found the victim with at least one gunshot wound. investigators now looking into a motive. so unless the governor has a different proposal. >> that is going come up with something better. folks like me are left with no other option.

>> mayor lamar hernandez-thorpe is urging other city leaders to support prop 36. a measure that would increase penalties for retail and drug crimes. this comes after governor gavin newsom expressed opposition to it. antioch mayor says reforms already passed by newsom help combat large retail crime operations. but many small businesses still face petty theft. he says the measure would also offer lifesaving resources to treat those struggling with drug addictions. >> at the local level, we don't have anything. my region is unique as an eastern contra costa county. there are no homeless shelters, know congress at homeless shelters. there are no places for people with mental health issues go to. and so we've been left to dry. and that's not fair for the citizens of antioch. it's not fair for the citizens of eastern contra costa county. >> in response, newsom says if passed the bill would have significant consequences for marginalized communities. and i do a big story this morning. the bay areas getting hit with tech layoffs once again, cisco

to half moon bay. but it's gonna look pretty good early next week, though, looking at futurecast for yes, the problem area tends to be san francisco, southern iran and the coast of the golden gate. basically that's the port of entry to bring in all this marine layer moisture. however, aloft to the big issue is we have this warm air that's kind of hard to get this. this air is damp and moist air tends to be less dense, but cold air is more debt. so you have less dense air above you and it's hard to raise it even daytime heating. so sometimes a slow going and particularly if you have a good onshore wind, which is actually weaker today. so that's a plus. as we get to tonight tomorrow. yeah, the same kind of issue again, this is on sunday. but by monday, it's a little bit weaker by that point because our heat spike to start a bill to putting it all together. sfo about a half-hour delay, by the way, got those early bay clouds to deal with ball clouds and all that sunny for much of the bay. now, nice with 70's of the bay 80's inland. maybe spot here or there might make it to 90. but tomorrow, a lot more 90's to deal out better coastal clearing happening. but next

week, here we go. monday, tuesday, hot. we may see some readings approach near 100 degrees in the far east bay grow. looking great at the coast there, too, with some lower 70's to that. it's not a holiday or something here, but it can kind of enjoy that. not so hot for the balance of the week. that means the middle portion thereof until we warm up yet again. we'll be talking about the long-range forecast for you. getting back to the day, 70 for san francisco, kind of slow partial clearing here. can't completely rule out. some clouds left over. 75 for oakland morning fog with partial clearing 83 san jose warm and sunny upper 80's. you can see in the far east bay substantially cooler along the east bay shoreline. minus the winds, too. so it just shows you how much cooling we're getting lower 80's when you head south. and meanwhile, a hodgepodge of 80's up towards the north bay, the next few days with a golden gate right behind us there. 91 on sunday, not a major change, but then 96 as we get into monday, a hint of the heat were expecting early into the week there. so, you know, summer is coming back again, even though

media. this vacant home reportedly belongs to a man named john middleton. according to a public records search. he's the same person who owns this vacant home in the hollywood hills. that has also been previously taken over by squatters. >> middleton's dad owns the philadelphia phillies just this past week. the lapd confirmed officers responded to this property 4 times for calls involving burglary and trespassing. anything like this tension they're having when it's on your doorstep. course, according to ali city councilman, if you're almonds office, the city has been working with the lapd and the department of building and safety. and that dbs issued an abatement order that the property owner ignored and that cbs tried securing the property with fencing. but that security measure was breached. robbins office also said the owner is an egregious violation of the law and we are elevating the issue with the abandoned buildings unit at dbs to ensure that the fullest extent of enforcement is being implemented urgently and swiftly. ktla also found in its public records search. there is a lean on this home

convicted in the deadly shooting of a 71 year-old man in san francisco twin peaks neighborhood fantasy to and lamont imams are accused of robbing and shooting at where french at the twin peaks look out back in 2017, police say the victim went to the location to take photos. the pair robbed him for his camera, shooting the victim and then trying to sell that camera. less than an hour later, sentencing is set for december. a break-in caught on camera san francisco burglars crash in their pickup truck into the front of the 17th and balboa market on tuesday. as you can see there, the business owners say the group stole hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets. investigators later identified the car involved and arrested 4 suspects. one of the market's owner says crime has been a problem for a corner stores in the richmond district. and she says she's glad officers made arrests. >> i'm very relieved because you not we i'm just hoping that sends a message for all those other teacher people that's trying to do bad things

take a little stroll around, though, that part of the bay area, it looks like a good idea to have a jacket on day. >> yeah. look at all those bikers on the left side into this area right up taking it. go guys. good morning, 70. good morning, everybody. and that's going to be a problem areas that typically is in the bay area to really get that all cleared out because that's the port of entry for a marine layer and above us, that warm air is just like kind of hanging around. it's hard to get this cold, damp air to rise and mix out as about a half-hour delay cooking here. there you see the fog bank there we jump to san jose state and still we're socked in with fog clouds in place. so this is another problem area right now. usually it's all cleared out compared to the rest. the bay. through the period here, that's going to be an issue in san francisco, golden gate, southern moore. although i think we'll see some better clearing today than we did from yesterday, there comes back again for sunday morning. pretty good effort. but again, mixes out pretty good except the coastal areas. we don't get that taken care probably until monday. look to the longer range. think what's going on monday

about what comes to mind when you think of ingredients from the last summer harvest. so what comes to mind is how do we how do we preserve that? that bounty, you know, of the harvest? so what can we do to sort of length the the usage of these ingredients? so? >> we have some beautiful tomatoes and peppers and other vegetables from our garden gorgeous. and what we like to do is we like to do a lot of pickling. so we have these same vegetables sort of pickled in the one thing we really like to do, we grow a ton of heirloom tomatoes. beautiful so will will preserve them. will either will either vacuum seal them work, hand them that way. we can use a nice, fresh tomatoes sort of out of season cagr. and then finally we make a hot with all the peppers that we've grown. ok? so how big is this garden? how long has it been around? so the garden has been around for about a year and how it's 6,000 square feet. we've got a ton of raised beds it's really beautiful. do some of ensign their lunches, that sort of thing. and so.

>> basically a lot of the produce or all the produce you safe on that. >> from the menu, it's drawn from the garden or >> we use a lot you know, all of the produce that we grow in the garden we use in the and our various outlets at silverado. ok, got it. got it. okay. so what inspires you when it comes to developing your menu at silverado seasonality? russian foods that are trending okay. very good. all right. so walk us through the items that you write to showcase today. so these offerings that are on the menu right that showcase the produce from. >> the last summer harvest. sure. so we've we have the steak salad we do. this is a little bit differently. kind of modified it for kv. but we do something very similar in our mansion that our garden brunch. so we have a garden brunch on the first and 3rd sundays actually of this of the year. and this will be the last one of the this coming

sunday. so still have a couple seats. people that take advantage. but we've got this beautiful tri tip solid. so with the hot sauce that we made. we we turn that into a vinaigrette toss the the slowly roasted try some of the pickles guards, the solid as well. and then some summer some mint basil and cilantro, the visiting israeli. beautiful. think you make a really nice job with that. and then what it was over here. so here we've got so we've got some beautiful sour dough baguette here that's been grilled. little bit of nice sea salt, all of oil and some pepper. then we've got we just spread some beautiful burrata over top of that. and we use are preserved tomatoes, which is it's it's tomatoes, a little bit of garlic a little bit. all of we just can preserve it. so it's really fresh and beautiful. so that tomatoes on top, and we like to finish this dish with a little frozen tomato. can they do that? of course. yeah. does

it have to be frozen? so it grates really well. so we we stuck, you know, you can do this at home. you can take a tomato and just stick it in your freezer. about 24 hours before you want to use and then we'll just great that beautiful semedo over top. that's a hash actually. yeah. so it brings a other elements of freshness, right? that cold, beautiful. right to made on top. and then finally a look at this. we've got a little bit of just a. >> at some more color. yeah. add some more color and flavor and and then that guy's done. and then. to finish finish it. some beautiful all of oil from from that's gorgeous. and also some some of my favorite also mcmahon or that will just kind of. pour over top nice. and which brands do recommend personally that you like personally? i love all of well, it's it's perfect for a finishing all the and the juice. tea vinegar absolutely fantastic. they've been making
