so much in the morning hours. 51 by 09:00am by 10 at 59. now it looks like we're going to see a fair bit of sunshine. also tomorrow, kind of reversing things starting off. a lot of cloud cover and then clearing on out again looking for some more earnest rain by the time we get to more on that in a bit. stephanie. dave, thank you. >> is your local election headquarters? oakland mayor sheng thao released a statement accepting the recall results as she wrote. quote, thank you for choosing me to serve as your mayor as the first hmong american woman to become the mayor of of a major american city. it has been the honor of my lifetime. i am deeply proud of the progress be created together and and committed to ensuring we stay on track by supporting a smooth transition. the race to recall tell is not yet officially been called. but take a look at this. the effort to get her out of office continues to lead with 64% of voters in support. the race to recall alameda county district attorney pamela price, meantime, was called

last night by the associated press. 65% of voters supported the recall prize is now the first da and alameda county's history to be removed from office through a recall campaign. supporters of this move say they are ready to move forward and hope the board of supervisors acts quickly to choose a replacement. crawford's noelle bellow has the details. >> we think that there's still a lot of mismanagement going on there even today. and in the da's office. and we'd like to see them act as quickly as possible. >> campaign manager chris moore leading the effort to recall pamela price was pleased friday evening with the results of the election. we felt coming into the last few weeks. she was helping out quite a bit by making a lot of, you know, mistakes are self and we're not surprised. said we're pleading and, you know, 65, 30 35% price took office in 2022. becoming the first african-american woman to hold the county's top

prosecutor >> just about a year later, though, the group save alameda for everyone launched the effort to recall her on election night. those in favor of the recall were happy with the early returns showing two-thirds of voters supported the efforts to get her out of office. she is not being just to the victims. she's favor in the criminals and it's just getting worse. the race was officially called in favor of the recall by the associated press. our big thing and really the reason this started was because >> she was mistreating victims and she was re-sentencing letting people back out on the street without telling victims those those dangerous violent criminals. the times for showing up the doors of victims. >> the oakland police officers union released a statement thanking voters for standing with them in supporting the recall saying they stood with victims of crime price joins the list of california progressives, including la district attorney george gascon. don't in losing office

this year. moore says voters are looking for someone who's going to have a more balanced approach while holding criminals accountable might say, you know, everybody on the safe. the alameda for everyone. team were all progressives and we want progressive policies. we just don't want to go, you know, too far where it endangers the lives the people of alameda county. >> that was kron four's. noelle bellow reporting for us this morning. we've reached out to price's office for comment and will update you once we have a response. it was the vote is officially certified. a committee appointed by the board of supervisors. we'll select applicants who then would be publicly interviewed for the job during a supervisors meeting. however, his is ultimately appointed. that da job will have to run for election in 2026. the winner from their will serve out the final 2 years of prices term. in other election news, former bart board member of the tea for simon is headed to the u.s. capitol. she defeated

fellow democrat jennifer tran. simon will succeed. representative barbara lee in district 12 representing parts of the east bay in congress. have been in the position since 1998 vacating office earlier this year to run for senate. simon was born legally blind and has served on the bart board of directors since 2016 on the social media platform. x you vow to fight for representation and equality for all. the search continued friday for several missing boaters after 2 vessels capsized in bodega bay. the first boats sunk last saturday. one person died and 4 others remain missing. and 11 year-old boy was rescued and taken to the hospital. a second boat capsized monday morning, killing one man. another person is still missing. sonoma county deputies say their search and rescue teams are making sure nothing goes unchecked. they ask anyone on the sonoma coast to please keep an eye out for debris or anything related to those missing boaters. we're staying on top of the big story out of the south bay,

the future of this east san jose hospital is in question this morning. and so is the essential emergency services. it provides the sale of regional medical center is on hold until santa clara county leaders can agree on a contract with a nurses union proffers jeff moment explains what's being done to get past this roadblock. >> eastside san jose residents had a sigh of relief this summer when they found out the regional medical center would be sold by its corporate voters to the county of santa clara, which would be able to better funded stroke and heart attack units. but now doctors and nurses are even more worried saying that if the sale does not go real, it could result in hundreds of layoffs. it's a complete roller coaster. we were happy said now we're very severely depressed from holland is an icu nurse for regional medical center says she felt great knowing this hospital would go to santa clara county this summer and out of the hands of hca healthcare, which at one point was going to got their trauma center. felt like it would be a little bit more

stable the county. but now the sale is in jeopardy. the california nurses association rejecting a contract friday that would have released the nurses to join a new union once they became employed under santa clara county. >> that's it is just about the money for them and not worry about the community and the patients and people that come here. regional medical center told kron 4 news in a statement, quote, we are appalled and shocked that cna leadership has refused to grant the necessary agreement for santa clara county to purchase regional medical center. we do not understand their rationale and will need to regroup to determine next steps. the union is supposed to represent us and the majority of us wants to sail to go through. >> and and there very blatantly not listening to what the nurses want to do. the california nurses association would not go into detail about the negotiations but told front for it supports the sale its nurses say that's a lie because they that they're just lying to and makes me very angry at impromptu rally friday after

the contract was rejected. >> other hospital staff like daniel sanchez, sate layoffs are looming. if the sale does not go through the walls there will be layoffs and possibly reduction of 50% of staff, 50% is about 500 employees. it would be disastrous for the hospital which also provides critical services to east side residents who are primarily latino and low-income. i mean, we're in the heart of the side of san jose. we have a lot of traumas that too come here. >> and now they're having to be routed back to santa clara valley. medical the hospital told me that they will regroup with the county of santa clara to figure out how to best move forward in the coming days. >> meantime, many of the nurses i spoke with say that they're fearful if they don't get their nurses unions blessing, this could spell disaster for the hospital reporting here in san jose jacmel. bui kron 4 news. >> walk sf and families for safe streets. hung up memorial signs friday and more than 300 fatal traffic crash locations in san francisco. they say the signs are to honor victims and

to show the scale of the tragedies in the city since 2014, the memorial signs were installed leading up to the city's 10th annual world day of remembrance for traffic victims on sunday november. 17th, according to the group in san francisco, around 30 people are killed in traffic crashes each year. more than 500 are severely injured. other tech company is cutting jobs. san francisco based real estate tech company opened or announced it plans to let go of around 30 people. 300 people rather. that's about 17% of its workforce. the company says it expects to save 50 million dollars as a result opened a headquarters is on post street near market. still ahead on the kron 4 morning news. it's a big weekend for 40 niner fans. >> the team takes on the tampa bay buccaneers tomorrow. stay with us for update on running back. christian mccaffrey ahead of the game. >> while horrible. and something that i would never imagined that my child would

so still kind of piecing this together early part of the week still remains dry. that hasn't changed temperatures right now. 37 dublin, lot of 40's, east bay, shoreline, 30's and 40's. you will notice up to the north bay back to future cast here. nice start to the day. but those scattered clouds with us all day. you saw couple little patches there, a baby drizzle, but the issue has always been dry air. ok, sunday, we look good in the afternoon monday. this is the more earnest reign of anything that we're talking about. by this time. the atmosphere will be prepped. so we'll be able to get it by that point.elet me get to the moisture is what i'm talking about. very least kind of dry even right now with the onshore winds in place. there comes the recovery from those sprinkles that you might or might not get most likely won't. we're into the 40's for dew points. it gets better get into sunday, less resistance front of those showers as we get to monday. so that's why monday's the real chance of seeing anything because it much better atmosphere to work with lower 70's on the board for high temperatures today. so but in kind of cool suppose

there's not a duplicate him. >> according to san jose police officers responded to a hit and run crash involving a car and a pedestrian around 05:00am monday officers found a victim pinned under a minivan unconscious and not breathing. he died at the scene. loved ones left flowers and notes at the intersection. thanksgiving christmas will not be the same in. those are just right around the corner. >> the gentleman, you know, he's right away from to allied away from us. you took a father away from 2 children. i away from a mother and our brother. >> police arrested edward herrera. he is booked in the santa clara county main jail for murder. investigators say the victim and suspect knew each other and determined the crash to be intentional. but the motive has not yet been released here with a lot of witnesses out there. it was very busy area. >> if you seen something, please don't hesitate to say something. they can stay anonymous. yes, they have a suspect in custody, but they're still of the puzzle

that missing thomas says her brother was heading to their mother's home that morning to help with her cancer treatments. so tough on us right now. and, you know, we can paint a smile on, but inside his words, it's hurting month. >> and thomas's family is raising money for funeral services. we posted details on our website kron 4 dot com reporting in san jose del on kron. 4 news. >> a warning for veterans this morning on a trending scam that falsely promise is benefit increases. california state attorney general rob bonta issued a consumer alert on fake representatives trying to exploit veterans. the scammers are known to offer a faster claims process. bonta says veterans seeking help should find support from a local veteran service officer or va accredited representative. in the south bay and invasive mosquito continues to spread across santa clara county. despite aggressive efforts to control it. officials say the insect can transmit diseases like zika, yellow fever and now

it's been found in south san jose and santa clara county officials are ramping up efforts to eliminate this past their plan, a community meetings to inform residents about the district's plan. residents are urged to remove sources of standing water from their properties which can be breeding grounds for mosquitoes. friday marks 6 years since the camp fire burned in butte county. that fire is known as the deadliest wildfire in california history leaving 85 people dead scorching over 150,000 acres. it destroyed more than 18,000 buildings, including 9,000 homes causing an estimated 16 and a half billion dollars in damages. officials say this blaze was sparked by a combination of high winds and downed pg e power lines. the utility company pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter for 84 of the 85 victims. of oakland's getting a boost in its transition to 0 emission cargo handle it. the epa

>> reporting in san francisco, i'm rob nesbitt. kron. 4 news. >> the coalition on homelessness in san francisco is asking the mayor elect to take a new approach to addressing the unhoused cabinets. weeps have increased in san francisco over the last several months. i'd like to see on day one, over 700 vacant units in supportive housing be filled. >> and secondly, would like to see a halt to the illegal property destruct destruction that's occurring where people are losing their medications or losing their paperwork. during the campaign, i did speak with mister lurie on his plans for homelessness. >> he spoke about wanting to introduce at least 1000 shelter beds within his for 6 months in office. house advocates, they said they are optimistic about mister lurie entering office because of his work. the anti poverty, nonprofit tipping point. and they're hopeful that he will bring about positive change. more local election news. the fate of the great highway has

thank you for choosing me to serve as your mayor as the first hmong american woman to become the mayor of a major american city. it has been the honor of my lifetime. i am deeply proud of the progress we created together and i am committed to ensuring we stay on track by supporting a smooth transition. the race to recall tell is not yet been called, but the effort to get her out of office continues to lead with 64% of voters in support. meantime, the race to recall alameda county district attorney pamela price was called last night by the associated press. 65% of voters supported her recall. price is now the first da and alameda county's history to be removed from office to a recall election. supporters of that move say that they are ready to move forward and hope the board of supervisors acts quickly to choose a replacement kron four's. noelle bellow has the details. >> we think that there's still a lot of mismanagement going on there even today. and in the da's office. and we'd like to see them act as quickly as

possible. >> campaign manager chris moore leading the effort to recall pamela price was pleased friday evening with the results of the election. we felt coming into the last few weeks. she was helping out quite a bit by making a lot of, you know, mistakes are self and we're not surprised that we're pleading. and, you know, 65, 30 35% price took office in 2022. becoming the first african-american woman to hold the county's top prosecutor >> just about a year later, though, the group save alameda for everyone launched the effort to recall her on election night. those in favor of the recall were happy with the early returns showing two-thirds of voters supported the efforts to get her out of office. she is not being just to the victims. she's favor in the criminals and it's just getting worse. the race was officially called in favor of the recall by the associated press. our big thing and really the reason this started

was because >> she was mistreating victims and she was re-sentencing letting people back out on the street without telling victims those those dangerous violent criminals. the times for showing up the doors of victims. >> the oakland police officers union released a statement thanking voters for standing with them in supporting the recall saying they stood with victims of crime price joins the list of california progressives, including la district attorney george gascon. don't in losing office this year. moore says voters are looking for someone who's going to have a more balanced approach while holding criminals accountable might say, you know, everybody on the safe. the alameda for everyone. team were all progressives and we want progressive policies. we just don't want to go, you know, too far where it endangers the lives the people of alameda county. >> and that was kron four's. noelle bellow reporting for us this morning. we have reached out to price's office for comment and will update you as

soon as we get a response. and once that vote is certified, a committee appointed by the board of supervisors will select applicants for the da role and those folks would then be publicly interviewed during the supervisors meeting, whoever is ultimately appointed will have to run for reelection in 2026. the winner from their will serve out the final 2 years of prices term. other election news, former bart board member lateefah simon is headed to the u.s. capitol. she defeated fellow democrat jennifer tran. simon will succeed. representative barbara lee in district 12 representing parts of the east bay in congress. lee had been in the position since 1998. vacating office earlier this year to run for senate. simon was born legally blind and has served on the bart board of directors since 2016. a social media platform x you vow to fight for representation and equality for all. the search continued friday for several missing boaters after 2 vessels capsized in bodega bay. the first boat sunk last

saturday. one person died and 4 others remain missing. and 11 year-old boy was rescued and taken to the hospital. the second boat capsize monday morning, killing one man. another is still missing. sonoma county sheriff's deputies say that their search and rescue teams are making sure nothing goes unchecked. they asked anyone on the sonoma coast to keep an eye out for debris or anything that might be related to those missing boaters. we're staying on top of the big story out of the south bay, the future of this, the san jose hospital is in question this morning. and so are the essential emergency services. it provides the sale of regional medical center is on hold until a santa clara county leaders can agree on a contract with a nurses union. pope was jack moment explains what's being done to get past this roadblock. >> eastside san jose residents had a sigh of relief this summer when they found out the regional medical center would be sold by its corporate voters to the county of santa clara, which would be able to better funded stroke and heart attack units. but now doctors

and nurses are even more worried saying that if the sale does not go it could result in hundreds of layoffs. it's a complete roller coaster. we were happy said now we're very severely depressed from holland is an icu nurse for regional medical center says she felt great knowing this hospital would go to santa clara county this summer and out of the hands of hca healthcare, which at one point was going to got their trauma center. felt like it would be a little bit more stable the county. but now the sale is in jeopardy. the california nurses association rejecting a contract friday that would have released the nurses to join a new union once they became employed under santa clara county. >> that's it's just about the money for them and not worry about the community and the patients and people that come here. regional medical center told kron 4 news in a statement, quote, we are appalled and shocked that cna leadership has refused to grant the necessary agreement for santa clara county to purchase regional medical center. we do not understand their rationale and will need

to regroup to determine next steps. the union is supposed to represent us and the majority of us wants to sail to go through. >> and and there very blatantly not listening to what the nurses want to do. the california nurses association would not go into detail about the negotiations but told front for it supports the sale its nurses say that's a lie because they that they're just lying to and makes me very angry at impromptu rally friday after the contract was rejected. >> other hospital staff like daniel sanchez, sate layoffs are looming. if the sale does not go through the walls there will be layoffs and possibly reduction of 50% of staff, 50% is about 500 employees. it would be disastrous for the hospital which also provides critical services to east side residents who are primarily latino and low-income. i mean, we're in the heart of the side of san jose. we have a lot of traumas that too come here. >> and now they're having to be routed back to santa clara valley. medical the hospital told me that they will regroup

with the county of santa clara to figure out how to best move forward in the coming days. >> meantime, many of the nurses i spoke with say that they're fearful if they don't get their nurses unions blessing, this could spell disaster for the hospital reported here in san jose jacmel. but kron 4 news. >> the organization walk sf and families for safe streets. hung up memorial signs friday at more than 300 fatal traffic crash locations in san francisco. they say the signs are to honor victims and to show the scale of these tragedies in the city since 2014, the memorial signs were installed leading up to the city's 10th annual world day of remembrance. track of traffic victims on sunday, november 17th, according to the group in san francisco, around 30 people are killed in traffic crashes each year and more than 500 are severely injured. another tech company is cutting jobs. san francisco based real estate tech company open door announced plans to let go of around 300 people. that's about 17% of its

own individual coffee businesses to correct kids. so i own ritual coffee, which is based here in san francisco. we rose to just a few blocks away and some and we have 5 locations. 3 san francisco. >> one at sfo and one of map. a fantastic. and how about for you? >> i'm sharon healy and on the ceo of psych last started earlier this year, we have 3 cafes and restoration, san francisco, one registry in los angeles. and we also have an e-commerce business as well. congratulations you know, when you're sick said thank you. did you both get looped into the coffee festival and how long has this been going on for? the san francisco coffee festival? thing going on for 8 years. and this is the 8th year you've been participating every year. yeah. i mean, if there's a coffee events and together, we're going to be that the testing. and so you've brought some samples to show us today, which should with which we've got a little tasting exercise. i'm that it's a very simple thing. >> your viewers can do it at home, know gadgets, no fancy equipment required. but what

it's a cover it that originally was an heirloom variety was growing in kenya and that was transplanted to honduras. so to me, when i taste this coffee, it has a really juicy mouthfeel. yes, it has. feeling really like a fruit in city kind of like, you know, biting into a to me like i mean, this is my right now. so i'm i'm biased. yeah. well, i'm loving how you're describing this now. what would you say is we just have a little bit of time left to what would you say makes a well brewed cup of coffee, which is safe. >> oh, man there. i we have i mean, >> they're now now there's so many factors and you can you can just make right each one a little bit better. it results in a better cup of coffee. it's it's really about figuring out the different bring methods that are specific to that coffee. and so really quickly, we have from the santa barbara region under us, the dog, the munoz geisha variety, which that's a noted for its floral

day. >> good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. well, we got a score that we have for friday in terms of we have some scattered clouds to deal with. there is that ice a little chance. a little sprinkle make an appearance in your neighborhood. most likely it's going to be in the north bay and you'd be lucky to get it for the most part. just moistening up the lower levels of the atmosphere. and that's important with fire season at hand that we have more help have happening into next week. first things first, the beauty shot as you can see from barca darrow right near its moratorium. i promise yes, there you have it and a little bit hazy sunshine, just a touch and that will be incorporated with more of those scattered clouds throughout the day today. hour by hour again, variable clouds probably were care. 56 at 10:00am by 11 will do about 61. not bad on those temperatures, by the way. so enjoy that this weekend because that's going to change next week and chilly little flavor of winter trying to develop here. here are the scattered clouds you can see across the bay. looks like we're getting a little break upstream. meanwhile, those temperatures were in the 50's and 40's mix snow up north. we

francisco lori's message worked with voters after doing 250 meet and greets 150 merchant walks and his team knocked more than 140,000 doors in the city. his win locally happen on the same night that donald trump was elected president. i have serious disagreements with president donald trump, but i will never i will never let those disagreements get in the way of addressing the problems facing san francisco. i was at mayor london breed's campaign the night of the election at the time. she had very strong words for lori saying, quote, san francisco is not for sale. a lorry spoke today about his phone call with the mayor yesterday saying it was a gracious one and ensuring that his team will work with hers for a smooth transition at city hall. >> reporting in san francisco, i'm rob nesbitt. kron. 4 news. >> the coalition on homelessness in san francisco is asking the mayor elect to take a new approach to addressing the unhoused h m is sweeps have increased over the last several months. over 700 vacant units in supportive housing be filled.

us this morning, disturbing text messages sent to black people across the country referencing cotton picking slavery and plantations proffers lezla gooden learned students in san francisco are among the victims receiving those hateful messages. >> racist text messages are being sent to some african americans nationwide and right here in the bay area, example of one of these messages reads that the recipient has been chosen to pick cotton at the nears plantation. our executive sleighs will be there to pick you up. it goes on to say they will be searched and patted down. the final message says anyone who rent away or doesn't show up will be killed. >> like i wasn't expecting my own 16 year-old child to be experiencing anything like this. >> from the results of, you know, the election and and all of that. and this is la toya. >> who is a parent of a student who received this text in sacramento. he received.

>> yeah, pretty sweet. start to the day. good morning, stephanie. good morning, everybody. another vantage point for you from our sutro cam. there's the golden gate off to the distance. you see the shadows at work as well. you saw that other picture. there's some of the high cloudiness and sometimes that happens at night. you get a ring around the moon that means rain. well, there is some truth to that. sometimes that happens. that just means a layer of moisture is building up starting up at the high level which you have ice crystals and then it starts to thicken up as you get later on. well, we're not really going to see much from the system, but it is a system coming in to bring us some cloud cover. make note of that. sure. variable clouds expected today. temperatures for you. we've got 50's and 40's mixture for the most part up north here. still working on the couple fairfax, the chilly spot. 39, but we've graduated at least up to the 40's and most locations. now what's going on far checking things out on the tropics. real quick. this is a tropical storm. rafael, talk about this earlier. hurricane center called raphael. and as we go forward, it doesn't know exactly what it wants to do. and boom, go south through the bay up and camp haiti. now it

says a tropical depression at this point or even almost a tropical wave. now, look what happens when it strikes land, whatever it is and what you get a lot of times, just some heavy rain throughout all the graffiti, which is heavy, mountainous terrain and that can cause a lot of flash flooding, even though it's long since exited the news. so that typically happens with tropical systems like that when they're landfalling. meanwhile, what's going on? the sierra turning to snow by monday. and this is just the start. we have a whole series of these as we get into next week. not a lot of moisture quantitatively. and the first thing we have to get through is today barely dry air working on that for sunday. this is now sunday morning. at this point, the skies actually open up into the afternoon, but we moisten things up and prepped by monday morning for some earnest rain showers. he might even have the sunday morning commute on monday with dew points in the 50's. that's more typical. we don't say normal but more typical. we would get with the rain event. doesn't provide much resistance. longer-range out again. we're fiddling around with what we're getting this weekend, which is kind of a

kind of a drizzle thing. and then some showers for your friday. stephanie. >> 4 is your local election headquarters and san francisco city officials are responding to news of another trump presidency and the potential legal challenges that could come with it. joining me live now is city attorney david chiu, who just won reelection to his position this week. thanks so much for joining us. david, thanks for having me on this morning. absolutely. first of all, congratulations on getting reelected to office. how does it feel? >> it feels good. and i'm really proud of the work in my office and holding special interest accountable and helping solve the problems of the day. but in light of everything that's happening, it feels really to come out to ken and significant given all the challenges we're facing at this time. all right. well, you also did campaign for kamala harris's. well, you on the campaign trail when she was working to get the word out about reproductive rights and her platform around that. us through what that journey was like. >> well, i've known a vice president for 26 years since

we met as young prosecutors in the san francisco da's office. and i've known her for that entire time of someone who's just brilliant and compassionate and incredible. fearless leader. >> and like so many, i'm just heartbroken at the results this week. she had so much promise. so much hope for us. but now we're in a very, very different space. so we are, of course, facing a second trump presidency was sort of legal battles. are you anticipating facing the city of san francisco given? >> that donald trump is expected another term in office? >> well, obviously the national news this week was devastating and it's going to change the work of my during the first trump administration. our office had dozens of legal matters challenging what the trump administration was trying to to defending our city and so many different ways and given how donald trump house complete disdain for the rule of law, given the 900 pages and project 2025. our work is cut out for us. we're going to be extremely busy defending so many aspects of san francisco

of our country, our values, our policies, everything is going to be at risk. specific values and policies do anticipate being under threat here? >> well, i think everything from, you know, starting with a woman's reproductive writes to his threat to mass support. our immigrant communities, too. what he wants to do when it comes to environmental regulations, dangers and challenges to consumers, to workers. and and he has been very specifically targeting california. and so unfortunately, there's just so much we're gonna have to be doing now. we also, of course, heard from attorney general rob bonta just yesterday with regards to what his office is planning for the years ahead. >> have you had any conversations with the state ag about this sort of thing? and has he responded in any particular way? >> so attorney general bonta is a close friend. we worked and the legislature together.

we have spoken over many months about this possibility. but now that it's here, we're starting to get together. i've been in touch with not just him and his office, but folks all over the country who are in the same situation knowing that our communities at risk, knowing that we're going to have to stand up fight back >> do you think he's running for governor in 2026. attorney general. yes, you know, i'll leave that question up to him. i think there are a lot of folks that are encouraging him to do so. i know he's got some decisions to make and we'll see what happens. >> and the next couple of months, alright, well, staying on election news, of we did just elect a new mayor in san francisco. >> curious to get your how does your office plan to partner with mayor elect lurie to make sure that san francisco saved by run for the residents here. >> what we're gonna have a lot of new folks at san francisco city hall. at least 4 new supervisors potentially more. we have our mayor elect to ran as an outsider who has not worked in city hall for all of

them were going to work as quickly as we can to get them up to speed on the myriad of issues that we're going to be facing from homelessness and public safety to lawsuits and other challenges. the trump administration. it'll be a lot of briefings will be working very closely with them both to get them up to speed on what's happening, but also to work with them on their new ideas and how we move san francisco fort know mister lurie has brought up the fact that i mean, we all know that he is a narrative. levi strauss fortune spent a record amount on this mayoral. >> election, a 13 million dollars, i believe was out. >> he's mentioned that he doesn't plan to take a salary when he goes into office and he's mention that he might have thought he may have conversations with your office with regards to that. have you heard from him on that i read about that yesterday in the papers. i'm sure will be a topic of discussion very soon. look forward to working with him to figure out how to >> do that. and the million other things that we're going to have to figure out. yeah, sounds like it's going to be a very really busy year. >> all right. anything else a voter should be expecting from

you in the months to come? >> well, listen, we have are always been fighting special interests that are looking to endanger san francisco, whether it be the opioid industry, whether it be deepfake companies, whether it be folks that are trying to defraud consumers or take advantage of workers or take advantage of tenants. also looking for to thinking of how we problem solve, how do we move our city forward given the challenges that we've had, we've made some headway when it comes to homelessness and public safety in the last year. but obviously there's a lot more work to be done. we've got to figure out how to bring our downtown back and get our small business is thriving again, we're gonna have an awful lot of work. and then you add to it the lair of what the trump administration is going to the san francisco city attorney's office will be firing. 24 7. >> alright, san francisco city attorney david chu, thank you so much for joining us this morning. thanks for having me on. all right. we'll be right back. all right, a little fun
