and the oakland airport. judge today granted a preliminary injunction ak to stop using the name san francisco bay oakland international airport. the decision means they're poor must temporarily remove san francisco from all advertisements, marketing and promotion. they're really comes after san francisco city attorney sue the port of oakland over the name change citing trademark infringement. the port decided to rename the airport back in april to improve the visibility and get more customers. but the judge now says the new name has created confusion and will lead to travelers to believe the 2 airports are affiliated. >>pleased that the court agreed with what we've been saying all along that this new name infringes on our trademark. i wish it hadn't come to this. we've been trying to reason with oakland officials for the better part of the year to avoid litigation. we'd hopes to work with oakland to come up with alternative names that w needsd

oaklanders and californians. that's the goal of the blue. i know mural on display in east oakland, the artist alison human says it's ine to the so-called doom loop of negative events seen in the city kron four's justine waldman spoke at the artist behind the display to get all the details. >>so blue loop is the title of your gorgeous mural. it's a play and do loop which is just that like never ending cycle of. do for so how did you get inspired to to make this beautiful piece of art? >>well, i i grew up in the bay area you know, it was it was really bringing me down saying all of the and negative media attention towards the bay area. you know me and we've national and international headlines about what's been going on right here in the bay area. but my reality has actually been a lot different. and you know what? not to say that there isn't some truth.

trump's lawyers on tuesday the he delayed the ruling now until november 19th news nation's laura ingle has the details. >>donald trump was convicted here in new york city's criminal court on 34 counts of falsifying business records back in may of this year. this week we were supposed to get a decision on the sentencing, but that has been delayed. new york state supreme court justice wander sean was supposed to decide whether that conviction would be upheld. instead, the hearing has been delayed with both sides, citing unprecedented circumstances. the president elect's communication team issuing a statement on the postponement which reads in part, it is now abundantly clear that americans want an immediate end to the weaponization of our justice system, including this case, what shoulhave never been filed so wecan, as president trump said in his historic victory speech, unify our country and work together for the betterment of our nation. trump's legal team is basing their argument for throwing out the conviction on the

supreme court's ruling from back in july that the president of the united states has at least presumptive immunity for all of his official acts. a trump is accused of covering up hush money payments to adult film star stormy daniels while campaigning for president in 2016. trump's legal team is not arguing that these payments which occurred while the president-elect was a candidate fall under those official acts. instead, they believe the evidence used by the prosecutors in the case led by manhattan da alvin bragg would be inadmissible under the supreme court's ruling. of course, this all gets complicated by the recent election or sean has asked the prosecution to file their view of appropriate steps going forward no later than november 19th, which is in just one week should judge marshawn ruled the conviction stands. what happens next is not entirely clear. sentencing is currently set for november. 26, but that also could be postponed until after president trump is out of office. back to you. stocks

san francisco police department has launched a new operation to crack down on prostitution and human trafficking in the city's mission district. it's called the dear john program as part of the program. sfpd has begun sending letters and pictures to the addresses associated with vehicles that solicit prostitution. that's a long shot. well, street and the ing the letters are designed to serve as a deterrence. and i hope this program will show people soliciting prostitution that they will no longer have and on a monday they desire. a for tenants living in houseboats. and alameda judge has ruled against the owners of barnhill marina ordering them to pay over 300. and $35,000. foot on love, full housing practices. the city filed a lawsuit accusing the landlords of trying to force out residents, many of which are seniors and have lived on their house boat home for decades. the city attorney's office says the owners drastically hike the rent up and block tenants from selling

>>now to an update on a story we first brought you here on kron 4 last month. a bedbug outbreak in assisted living facility in redwood city as kron four's lezla gooden explains. now one resident says the situation is not getting any better, but the facility says they've already taken steps to address those problems. >>so he's been trying. we introduce you to eric love, a resident at hopkins manor who shared with us that a bedbug infestation at the facility. he calls home placed him in the emergency room a month later after our reporting, despite a visit from the state in a new contractor to get rid of the bed bugs here. eric says he's gotten worse for him since the last time we talked.
