to step down and why is his nomination in particular so polarizing? >>yeah, i mean, he's so nominations up to this point have been so much what you would expect. i mean, marco rubio is a guy who will be fine. it state that the kind of been nurses are stronger appointments in that regard. but if you look at gates case of someone who's been under investigation by the doj has been under an ethics by colleagues in congress. is someone who has had difficulty getting along as well with his colleagues, particularly in the republican caucus. when you look at that, he's a gwho upset or, throw overboard kind of a car thief. and there's been a number of people who don't like matt gaetz in the freedom caucus on on his side. and it's not clear confirmed by the senate. so tha resort ariza recess appointment and there could be a number of recess appointments in order that to happen that the senate would have to go into
1:03 am
temporary recess. that has happened in the past. but it's never happened when the president's requested it. and if donald trump request the senate to go into recess, you could then put matt gaetz in for up to a year tulsa. gather enough for year. pete had that headset. these folks that are, if you will, somewhat controversial, they could serve for up to a year in a recess appointment. and then let's say there's another recess. you could apapapapappoi for another year. so this could really become an ininininteresting kind of predicament because it's unclear that matt gaetz would get not a vote of his colleagues in the house. you can't get that, but he won't get vote of many republicans in the senate, even though many of them are fearful of donald trump. this is a very interesting highly controversial appointment today. john bolton, formerly with the tdministration, was quoted today saying >>in one word fealty that it's not a test of loyalty. these are not trump loyalists, but it's fealty, which is an old term futile.
1:04 am
>>yeah. if you look at what has happened for the appointments so far, they have been loyalists. they've been folks that stuck up for donald trump in an impeachment stuck up for donald trump relative to january 6th. and then the question arises. you know, what's he going to do relative will go away and jack smith will be out as we all know already. and that means that the january 6, it folks, those been convicted and are serving time. they'll be pardoned and then they'll you know, a photo-op in the white house with donald trump there front and center. so i mean, this is the spoils of what happens. elections have consequences. we see that going on. and donald trump beginning today really is pushing the envelope. i mean, given example, the gates appointment, the announcement comes 35 minutes after he leaves the white house meeting with president biden and president biden's chief of staff. that timing is not by accident. and obviously it is about gates and his loyalty. but it's really more than that. it's also kind of thumbing your nose back at
1:05 am
your critics and asking them, what are you going to do? and that's an element here. that's hugely important. i would say the outstanding appointment that we don't know about yet with a couple different rumors. it would be treasury secretary. the reason that's important is because donald trump needs to revisit his tax cuts that expire in january. the government runs out of money on december, 21st. all right. and we hit the debt in january as well. >>what elon musk going to actually do and have you heard anything in the past week from the democratic party as a whole? that has been something that hurt your ears. >>well, i mean, elon musk is going to serve a role outside the government. but how long that lasts will be interesting to to watch. here's why there's going to be a lot billionaires that flowed in and out of trump adration. part 2 as they float in and out of there. there's going be a lot of egos that clashthe east coast and with finance money, high finance money and in manhattan. and with folks like elon musk, the richest man in the world, how long that cope
1:06 am
ascetic relationship last. what does that look like for a couple of months? that probably gives them a short period of time 6 to 8 months where everyone can get a long before those egos clash. and then you look at what democrats will do. what democrats will do is i'll try long gator move out the calendar and that's where things like the tax cut reauthorization from 2017. a number of loopholes have to be cut are closed revisited like our indie research and development tax credits, but also how large that tax cut is going to be in terms of contributing to the deficit. it will contribute between 7 8 trillione lololololow end and 9 or 10 trillion at the high. and you can easily easily raise the u.s. deficit by a 3rd because of these tax cuts. and republicans are go hard into that fair went so well. we've talked a lot about immigration. we talked a lot about what could potentially happen there with border security rounding people up that takes a bit of time to do if you're going to have 100 day plan, what you really have about a 45 or 15 a plan because of the calendar begins to take over and move last
