and only 9 first downs in the 1st half, it was 3 to 3 going into the break. 3rd quarter now, same score. brock purdy passing to a wide open deebo but he drops it again. that could have been big game. maybe even a touchdown. yet. the vo really feel he got 7 targets finished with only 3 catches for 16 yards. so the forty-niners have to settle for the field goal. and jake moody knocks it through from 47 yards. that gives the niners a three-point 4th quarter tied at 6 and pride. matthew stafford that showing off the arm downfield connects with cola, a 51 yard game. coca finished with 7 catches for 97 yards. but the forty-niners would stop the rams in the red zone. they force a field goal. stanford product, joshua karty, the 27 yarder to take the lead. he was 4 for 4 tonight on field goals. later in the 4th quarter. niners down purdy airs it out, trying to hit you on jennings with that was

ill-advised tease picked off by darius williams. the rams would get the ball back. they go down the field, kick another field goal to pad the lead to 6 final seconds. one last chance for the niners. but purdy, not even yet a throwaway. he's sacked and that will do it 12 to 6 first nfl game this season neither team scored a touchdown niners fall to 6 in 8 with 3 games remaining last time. now as bad as the game was, this might be worse after the game. we found out head coach kyle shanahan said that linebacker de'vondre campbell refuse to go in when he was asked said he didn't want to play today and walked back to the locker room as see there in the 2nd half as you would expect, his teammates were not thrilled with that decision. >>we're going to find out who wants to be here next few obviously it's slim. and that's not really. the the focus is to win games and to put our best out there. look,
1:23 am
if you're on the roster, you expect a new suit up expected play. i think anyone in this building the got asked to go and i would say 100% of everybody would die to get on that football field. turn to win football games some of want to play football. >>session are suited up as matter. what i wish i could have said or wish i could have done. i don't like distractions on the sideline. i think that's ignorant. i think it's just don't. it's just stupid. and it's very immature. and i just don't i don't see how that sir. as show you can do some like that you know, to your team. >>yeah. gosh. what year. it's been for the niners. all right. now to a happier story. the san jose sharks finishing up there. 6 game road trip tonight in st. louis against blues. trying to make it a happy flight home second period tied macklin celebrini. his past blocked right back to him. so he said, all i'll just for myself. his 9th of the season makes it who and he
1:24 am
wasn't finished later in the period charts on the power play the clock running down celebrini with his second of the night. also had an assist sharks go up 3 to one. add another one in the 3rd period courtesy of jake in on the 2 on one sharks get the win in st. louis 3. >>we'll take a look at this this morning. new snow began falling at the uc berkeley's central sierra snow lab. they say they'll be getting steady snowfall through the weekend and may even end up with 2 to 4 feet of new snow by sunday. with that, we're going to turn it over to whether as you can see, lawrence karnow is looking and admiring those snowflakes is a lot coming our way, right? yeah, we got a lot coming down. not only here. we've got the rain here. >>the snow in the sierra nevada, too. and that's going to have you got to be careful. i the resorts are loving it, right? they're going to get a ton of snow before the holidays. kind of just like
1:25 am
thanksgiving. >>lot of feet of snow, in fact, maybe one to 3 feet. you meet maybe 5,000 above that going to be talking, maybe as much 5 feet of snow across some of the higher elevations. so travel up there going to be difficult. we're going to see some very gusty winds with that storm coming through on saturday. maybe 8000 mile an hour gusts across the peaks right now. you are seeing that snow continuing to fall there. more on the way. winter storm warnings up until 1 o'clock in the afternoon on friday across much of the sierra nevada, think they're going to be reissued again by tomorrow night as we've got a much stronger storm on the way. the meantime, though, yeah, they're going to see a lot of those totals really kind of wrap up all the way from the shaft area through the great lake tahoe area and beyond. we're going to see a ton of snow from a series of storms impact us here. so be aware if you're headed up there yet they got more snow on the way for tomorrow. saturday is going to be a really rough day with a major storm coming through and then by sunday, that'll be your day. get a break. you'll see mostly sunny skies. want to show you the storm, though. that's on the way tomorrow. here's the
1:26 am
second storm. this much more potent storm. the commute tomorrow. maybe some showers, but not much. mostly energy say north of the golden gate bridge. and that's going to kind of how it's gonna play off throughout the day. the northern sonoma county parts of northern moran, you're probably talking about some heaviest amounts of rainfall and then overnight as we head in toward tomorrow night, early on saturday morning, that rain really gets going heavy rainfall around the bay area about midnight tomorrow night and then a secondary frontal system comes whipping and you see this. >>and that does it here for us at kron. 4 news will be back with the morning news at 5 man. thanks for watching and stay dry out there.
