breaker about that this afternoon. it's like it's so nice that we're moving in that direction in the sun is here for a little bit. this is our rain chance that looking at for the next 5 days. it's just basically friday that the it. >> and then we dry out and we kind of stay that way for a while. so the friday system is to our north and west. it's going to drop in. that's what we're going to get a little bit of rain that comes our way. but after that, you'll notice high-pressure, this ridge will start to build in and it kind of increases as we work our way into next week. so what that means, it's kind of a sustained period of dry weather that we're going to have. so as we take a look here, i had me thinking about where we're at for our rain totals for the water year. water year starts october first. so since october 1st you can see san francisco got a little over 10 inches of rain which brings us to 121% of normal. so that's pretty good. but then you can take a look at spots in san jose oakland. so east bay, south bay livermore, they are below that 100% mark in the decor santa rosa. well, above it at 209% of normal haven't gotten over. 25 inches of rain. so we do still have some to pick up
3:21 pm
in parts of the bay area. and if you look at the drought monitor, it does kind of match that rate. we are little abnormally dry in our east bay in our south bay. the rest, we are looking good. so we do have to kind of keep the systems coming in during these months because this is when we really pick up all of our rainfall for the year. this is the system coming in tomorrow. so again, it will be in the overnight tonight into the first part of tomorrow. but then notice once we start to get that ridge building in everything else, just kind of slides are right to the north of us and we're out of it. so it keeps us pretty calm, at least as we head across the next week to 10 days. beautiful out there. now, as we take a live look from the east bay, temperatures have been very warm today in spots and certainly san jose is one of them up to 67 degrees right now. but santa rosa also up there about 63 wind has been relatively calm. we are going to little breezy with the system comes in tomorrow. so just be prepared for that. but it will be short-lived. and then once that clears that we've got a pretty good looking weekend. saturday will start a little cloudy, but then start to improve as we get throughout the day. and then, you know, sunday through next wednesday is looking gorgeous. >> for a chilly start, the new
