buy some real zonings. >> oakland police say thieves also burglarized a safe way off broadway. the manager on duty at this location says the door was quickly fixed and thieves didn't end up taking much. this makes 5 burglaries over the last 2 weekends ago. quick kron 4 asked opd for comment on the spike in burglaries but did not hear back reporting in oakland jack moment. kron 4 news. >> a 17 year-old boy is dead after a car crash in livermore. police say it happened last night on do bell road south of mendenhall road. not clear yet what caused the crash, but officers say speeding could be a factor. the chp is searching for the driver connected to a deadly hit-and-run in santa rosa happened last night on highway 101. are still lane. police say a pedestrian was found lying in the road. a person who had apparently been hit by a car. the victim died at the scene. anyone with information is being asked to call the chp. >> all right. time for a look

withdrew thousands of dollars from a bank account. the vallejo community is coming together to raise money for a hit and run crash victim. the accident happened just days before christmas, destroying the man's wheelchair. kron four's lindsey ford has the story. >> the room. and given to to be honest. i sat there for like 10 minutes time. nobody came outside. nobody heard it. >> just 5 days before christmas, the unthinkable happened to melvin jones in valais. whoa around 11, 10 at night right outside of his home. he was struck by a car while positioning himself out of his wheelchair into his vehicle. so even cause sometimes suffer from depression, it was like a movie said jones he saw in his rear view mirror bright lights approaching closer and closer pushing keep pushing. are going. >> quick quick, quick, quick,

quick. >> and then when the door flung you got to those winter bama wheelchair does flew in the air did a couple of tumbles land on the ground and it ended up like in the middle of his shattered to pieces in shock after the impact, jones as he braced himself by grabbing the steering wheel. >> and looking ahead at the driver who hit him, seen him put on a light reverse lights. >> know, like what are >> and they took off. never even came down to see if i was all right. >> he's now using a replacement wheelchair. what's left are remains of his main wheelchair, twisted and ruined along with his car's windows. glass shattered in the street. just a lot of trauma that. that i didn't have to go through a probably would have been better. the person just stop. i would have felt a little bit better came by. and just checking on me. >> but just not doing that. just left me in a bad place. the hit and run has left jones with a broken foot.

and geothermal. on the eve of the 4th anniversary of the attack on the capitol, lawmakers are bracing for president elect trump's promised pardons. trump has said that he will pardon many of the participants. congresswoman marjorie taylor, greene says she's been urging him to pardon everybody involved. other republicans favor a case-by-case approach. democrats argue the pardons could have dire consequences for the rule of law. there are more details on the explosion outside the trump international hotel in las vegas. that happened new year's day involving 37 year-old green beret matthew livelsberger. authorities say there were warning signs before the attack that injured 7 people livelsberger killed himself shortly before detonating explosives a rented tesla cybertruck. he did leave behind a series of notes on his phone, including one saying, quote, this was not a

the east coast there. so still some hazardous pretty icy. these are the feels like temperatures negative 19 in fargo that's actually warmer than yesterday. was negative. 39, but it's you can really see the dip in the jet stream just where it stopped by brought that polar air for us. pretty mild and quiet quite the opposite. we just have the fog rolling back. and this is the golden gate bridge and that getting more dense as the night goes by. so you expect that overnight, especially along our valleys. so your morning drive tomorrow will be quiet. but you can just see some foggy conditions and partly cloudy skies through the afternoon and then the fog rolls back once again in the evening. kind of a typical summer pattern, air quality, you'll notice it's a bit hazy. moderate air quality tomorrow, but that will be changing. come tuesday. we inside slider weather pattern coming our way. and it's going to create this strong pressure gradient, bring us some offshore winds back in the forecast. starting tomorrow night around this time you can see on the higher elevation. it starts to light up in 20 to 30 miles per hour
