business owners are blaming teenagers. kron four's jack moment has the story. >> oakland police say this was the first breaking of the night at extra mile store off castro toppers. frustrated sunday afternoon to find the stories mostly closed for the day store employees at extra mile didn't want to interview with kron 4, but they did. teenagers messed with the atm machine and it needs to be repaired. i faith that the state for me, always at the oakland you take the good with the bad when it comes oakland. >> open is a beautiful place with a lot of rich history. and i don't think a lot of people take value in the rich history that is open. this woman says the string of burglaries here in oakland is not shocking but just disappointing. i love the open to better. >> oakland police then say a group of thieves targeting smoke shop off san pablo avenue just before for the morning. >> a car rammed into elise of

buy some real zonings. >> oakland police say thieves also burglarized a safe way off broadway. the manager on duty at this location says the door was quickly fixed and thieves didn't end up taking much. this makes 5 burglaries over the last 2 weekends ago. quick kron 4 asked opd for comment on the spike in burglaries but did not hear back reporting in oakland jack moment. kron 4 news. >> a 17 year-old boy is dead after a car crash in livermore. police say it happened last night on do bell road south of mendenhall road. not clear yet what caused the crash, but officers say speeding could be a factor. the chp is searching for the driver connected to a deadly hit-and-run in santa rosa happened last night on highway 101. are still lane. police say a pedestrian was found lying in the road. a person who had apparently been hit by a car. the victim died at the scene. anyone with information is being asked to call the chp. >> all right. time for a look

dry conditions and we have hazardous surf as well. i will be talking about in the extended forecast and so, yeah, we'll be speak watching those offshore winds. it's back in the forecast. we could see wind advisory but other than that's quiet weather for us out the back with details it. back to you. >> of the san mateo county sheriff's office is warning people about a scam that targets the hispanic community. deputies say scammers are calling people offering to register children to the amber alert system. but it's just a way to get confidential information and even meet with residents at their homes. authorities say it is clearly not how amber alert system works. they say if you have been contacted call the sheriff's office. pleasant time. police looking for this woman you see on your screen. she is accused of committing bank fraud in pleasanton. they says she went to several banks last month and fraudulent, fraudulent

withdrew thousands of dollars from a bank account. the vallejo community is coming together to raise money for a hit and run crash victim. the accident happened just days before christmas, destroying the man's wheelchair. kron four's lindsey ford has the story. >> the room. and given to to be honest. i sat there for like 10 minutes time. nobody came outside. nobody heard it. >> just 5 days before christmas, the unthinkable happened to melvin jones in valais. whoa around 11, 10 at night right outside of his home. he was struck by a car while positioning himself out of his wheelchair into his vehicle. so even cause sometimes suffer from depression, it was like a movie said jones he saw in his rear view mirror bright lights approaching closer and closer pushing keep pushing. are going. >> quick quick, quick, quick,

quick. >> and then when the door flung you got to those winter bama wheelchair does flew in the air did a couple of tumbles land on the ground and it ended up like in the middle of his shattered to pieces in shock after the impact, jones as he braced himself by grabbing the steering wheel. >> and looking ahead at the driver who hit him, seen him put on a light reverse lights. >> know, like what are >> and they took off. never even came down to see if i was all right. >> he's now using a replacement wheelchair. what's left are remains of his main wheelchair, twisted and ruined along with his car's windows. glass shattered in the street. just a lot of trauma that. that i didn't have to go through a probably would have been better. the person just stop. i would have felt a little bit better came by. and just checking on me. >> but just not doing that. just left me in a bad place. the hit and run has left jones with a broken foot.

tomorrow. temperatures expected to be as much as 25 degrees colder than usual. all right. time for another look at the forecast. we're looking live at sfo and gayle travel and not much of the country is going to be really rough. yes, have a flight to catch. >> you may want to check the status before you head out because although there may no delays here in the bay area, you could catch on. but some delays of elsewhere. so let's take a look at where we are with the delays as the fo looks good right now. but i am seeing major delays over at chicago o'hare. so it's in red right now and he can see why everyone else's green across the board. so not only do we have the heavy rain, we have ice so heavy rain, heavy snow and of line of severe thunderstorms threat still remaining over in the south and it moves more east to work tomorrow. but, you know, we will see some winter storm warnings over and the east on

the east coast there. so still some hazardous pretty icy. these are the feels like temperatures negative 19 in fargo that's actually warmer than yesterday. was negative. 39, but it's you can really see the dip in the jet stream just where it stopped by brought that polar air for us. pretty mild and quiet quite the opposite. we just have the fog rolling back. and this is the golden gate bridge and that getting more dense as the night goes by. so you expect that overnight, especially along our valleys. so your morning drive tomorrow will be quiet. but you can just see some foggy conditions and partly cloudy skies through the afternoon and then the fog rolls back once again in the evening. kind of a typical summer pattern, air quality, you'll notice it's a bit hazy. moderate air quality tomorrow, but that will be changing. come tuesday. we inside slider weather pattern coming our way. and it's going to create this strong pressure gradient, bring us some offshore winds back in the forecast. starting tomorrow night around this time you can see on the higher elevation. it starts to light up in 20 to 30 miles per hour

range. those colors there and then it intensifies overnight. so tuesday morning, watch out for that commute. pretty much breezy throughout the day. when you see those colors as some strong winds there, specially be drive a big rig overnight. lows will be pretty mild tonight because the cloud cover we're talking mid to upper 40's and temperatures 60's low 60's and upper 50's. we have some beach hazards out there as well. so this is that tomorrow morning through tuesday. so it's going to be nice this week. but you just want to be mindful of some hazardous conditions like sneaker waves and high breaking waves at 20 feet, at least. so here are the temperatures. nice in the 60's will get a warm-up on wednesday with those offshore winds. but other than that, you know, just the winds early this week, but nice and sunny, i don't see rain in the long range just yet. maybe the 2nd half of the month. thank you. go there. cupertino. police have arrested 2 people accused of stealing all this meat from a safe way. this was last week. >> roughly $1200 worth of
