berkeley says her for tens of thousands of dollars in losses after the shop was hit by thieves overnight as kron four's philippe djegal reports the suspects used a car to break through the front entrance. >> in and out in less than 5 minutes just after 5.30, sunday morning, a group of suspects rushed through looking glass photo in berkeley, searching for and grabbing anything of keep reviewing the footage noticing more. as i sat through. it's really hard for me obviously to watch jen, which accounts key is president and ceo of the camera shop on 5th street. she says the thieves left a total mess behind and got away with at least $50,000 worth of inventory. the suspect's bypassed the blockade in stalled out front, something her landlord added when the business moved into the building in july. >> likely using a stolen car to repeatedly ram through the front entrance to get inside, which koski says berkeley police officers showed just minutes after the suspects

to put it out before it spread to other homes. fortunately, but look at that. it's bad. fortunately, nobody was hurt. >> new dramatic video of the delta plane that crashed, flips upside down and then catches fire. it happened yesterday on the runway toronto pearson, international airport of the 80 people on board. 21 were hurt to remain in the hospital tonight. and as samantha cortez, the reports we're getting a much clearer picture of the moments leading to the crash on the runway. >> u of the delta regional jet crashing onto the runway in toronto. this happened during 40 mile per hour winds on monday. the landing gear is deployed. then the plane hits bursting into flames as soon as it makes impact flipping over onto its back, skidding down the runway, belly up before finally coming to rest the right wing of the aircraft was sheared off in the crash. airplane, this crust that we just have a crash overnight,

>> including the faa, our washington correspondent vinaysimlot reports. >> the two-hour delta flight, minneapolis to toronto, canada ended in a fiery crash. passengers evacuated onto the snowy tarmac upside down. the airport's ceo says toronto's sought to snowstorms over 4 days leaving 20 inches of snow. that is actually not typical. the good news, though, delta says everybody on board survived photos from the accident scene show the crj 900 passenger cabin intact one wing and the tail were disconnected. it just makes you really thankful for all the safety checks. it's the 4th major crash of a passenger airplane in the last month. a crash in alaska killed 10 on board late last month. an air ambulance jet crash in philadelphia killing 7 and 67 people died when a military black hawk helicopter and an american airlines flight collided in dc some democrats

went as far as blaming the trump administration for the recent crashes because they fired hundreds of faa employees. advocates say that has a ripple effect. not only how effective these families and these people, but the halifax aviation safety. dave sparrow is a union president representing aviation workers and introduces risk into the national airspace system n. >> and reducing risk is the last thing that you want to do. transportation secretary sean duffy defended the cuts. he says out of 45,000 employees, 400 were let go 0 air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel in washington today. some lot. >> all right. back here in the bay taking a live look at sfo. and lawrence joining bringing the chill. yeah. i mean, major cold winter storms. we've got wind chills of -40 -50. i mean, if you're traveling across the country better check your lives before you go out we're going to get a couple of rough weeks here. traveling across that country

is we've got the storms to a snow storms rolling through right now in we've got freezing rain. that is always some nasty stuff. and now you got that cold air pouring in behind it. so we've got to polar vortex kind of setting in here now. and that means we're in for some unusually cold air probably some extremely cold air as we head forward here. and you have to deal with the snow. they're looking a lot of that activity right now. we head toward a little raw kind of a mix there of some snow. and you've got that freezing rain just to the south. and that's going make its way all the way toward the eastern seaboard. so advisories going up bed. winter storm warning expecting as much as 8 inches of snow possibly in little rock that continue to make its way toward the eastern seaboard. so they're starting prepare for that as well. so you get along the east coast, you're gonna have to deal with some of that, too. and we're gonna talk about some heavy snow moving in that direction in the next couple of days and behind you've got all that cold air settling in. so we've got some extreme cold warnings all the way down in the dallas area. they're worried about the possibility of some wind

war. washington correspondent jessi turnure reports now on where those talks go from here. this meeting in saudi arabia was meant to be a starting point to stop the war. but ukrainians warn it's a dead end without their involvement. >> i think i have the power to end this war. president donald trump says his team made progress with their russian counterparts tuesday in talks to end the war in ukraine. much more confident. they were very good. we couldn't imagined a better result. secretary of state marco rubio says the u.s. and russia agreed to restore staffing at their embassies, create a team to support ukraine. peace talks and improve their diplomatic and economic ties. we have to see that conflict comes to a successful during and in order for that to be possible, some of the solution russia's foreign minister, particularly welcome to the appointment of the country's ambassadors, human beings, which will, but ukrainian president, volodymyr zelensky, notably was not involved in the talks and says they could

a couple extra days which is left give some chance that they got some will be sold they'll take. all right. thanks. got god. let's talk weather as we get a live look at coit tower in the city. and lawrence is here to fill us talk a couple raindrops around the bay area tonight. but maybe some temperatures running up in the 70's in the coming days in a real taste of spring possibly headed our way. >> out there tonight, though, it is some wintry weather coming in our direction, although not a large storm, just a weak system sliding on through scattered light showers begin to pop up and part of the bay area. now in the north bay. see more of that on the way. most of the system going ahead up in the pacific northwest, kind of follow in the jet stream out there and moves on by. it will bring with it. plenty of rain drops in that direction. but for us, kind of catching the trailing edge. nbc's live in their as we head to the middle of the day tomorrow. then school downtown leave behind high pressure and that ridge is going to send all those storms north. and that means when we get into saturday, we could see some temperatures sticking up in the upper 60's. some 70's popping up around the bay area and then looks like a another slight chance

automatically drop off the walls right before the batteries are depleted, which usually takes about 2 to 3 years. while video games can cater to everyone. the number of black video game developers is still small. and in oakiand nonprofit is trying to change that as part of black history month our celebration. a kron 4, sarah stinson takes us inside game heads in oakland. >> we all want the gaming industry to get to a point where you're not a unicorn is not a big deal that you're in the game, right. like you just you're part of everybody else. damon packwood is turning the video game industry on its head. >> he co-founded game heads in oakland, its mission to guide low-income students of color, ages 15 to 25 years old to the gaming world. >> if you give students the best hardware in the best software and then you provide them with the best instructors in the best mentors. they'll get very good and that that was always my theory. and where we're proud see that actually coming to fruition.

>> packwood is a san francisco a lot like a lot of these students and i grew up in low-income communities after earning his master's, he was teaching web design. but it wasn't long before you realized students were more interested in learning about gaming, then coating. they want to learn. >> and it's just that sometimes we're not teaching them things that they want want in the game heads program, students gain a competitive edge with free classes. mentorship. >> and a state-of-the-art gaming center and lab students can stay.enrolled until they get a job in the industry or age out. they do 6 months of in-class learning. >> all of our classes are taught by video game industry professionals during the summer. they all get video game industry professional mentors and they have to build a game over 15 weeks and then they have to showcase that game at the end of the summer and then they have to release that game online by the end of the year game heads black owned and operated in an industry that packwood says

lacks representation. the numbers are out of work. >> that's why it's so significant that we have an african-american board. >> of people that are in the gaming industry because they they only represented 2%. and we just so happened get some of those legendary 2% to kind of help build out the organization game heads partners with major players like sony and x box and just celebrated 10 years as a nonprofit. >> packwood says one of their biggest accomplishment helping a couple students land a job on the hit game. marvel's spider-man 2. >> i was like that was a big like a matching work on a swag. you have to be able to say i worked on marvel's spider-man 2 and i even graduate from college. and with each student success, packwood hopes to shift to the culture of the more than 400 billion dollar gaming industry. like when you create nonprofits, the the hope is that you're always trying to
