children ages 4, 9 months old, were kidnapped by palestinian militants on october 7th 2023 during the war, the family became a centerpiece in the cry for israeli hostages to be released. it was confirmed the young boys were 2 of the 4 bodies returned today, but their mother and sherry's whereabouts are unknown. >> we think this is another mind game that hamas is playing to try to provoke the trauma of israelis. and so all the more reason for this hostage deal to continue so that we don't see more of people coming back in coffins. >> the bay area's jewish community relations council is demanding the return of beavis body. 6 other hostages are scheduled to be released on saturday and 4 more bodies will be returned to israel next week. >> and san francisco, the presidio trust is now in jeopardy. president donald trump announcing he wants to eliminate the trust which manages the presidio along san francisco's northern edge. the trust was created in 1996 2

years after the former presidio army base was turned over to the national park service. since then, it's rented out former military housing added in museums, small businesses and allowed nonprofits. trent space on the property. the 1500 acres of the presidio became self-sufficient in 2005 and has remained so ever since. local leaders are now speaking out against the push to abolish the trust. >> city trust. model of government efficiency. it's a self-sustaining agency. turns a profit. trump does not have the legal authority to terminate the presidio trust. it was created by an act of congress. so this move is illegal and i'm confident it will be challenged in court. can't believe that. >> he would want to shut down the presidio trust when it's done such great work for our community and this area, i would very disappointed to see this disappear and turn into something else.

sonoma county tonight over the sheriffs refusal to support a measure designed to protect. >> undocumented immigrants. more than a dozen people rallied outside the finley community center in santa rosa where the sheriff said ian groom was addressing public safety with members of the hispanic chamber of commerce. demonstrators say the sheriff has been refusing to support a non collaboration with i done it with ice ordinance and that is them a little concerned about the safety of undocumented immigrants in sonoma county. >> we should not be cooperating with ice not be helping in any way that people should be forcibly removed from their homes.

>> we reached out to the sheriff's office to confirm the sheriff's stance on this ordinance. the office did not answer us. only saying that they comply with state laws based on the criteria. they responded to 64 out of nearly 500 ice requests last year. >> california's high-speed rail project could be next on the chopping block for the trump administration. the new head of the department of transportation says the project has been mismanaged. sean duffy held a news conference at union station in downtown la today. he said the project was want exciting. the state is still short of its funding goals and there's an unstable and unreliable timeline for the project's completion. the ambitious project is designed to connect los angeles and san francisco, but has faced a complicated history years of delays. >> we can't just say we're going to get money and then not hold states accountable to how they spend that money be spent per the agreements that

clouds drifting up above. otherwise looking good so far. but yeah, patchy fog developing along the coastline. you might see a couple patches even tomorrow afternoon. you might see couple patches along the coastline, but really it's going to be beautiful friday. make sure sunshine, some passing clouds and the weekend looks good. partly cloudy skies. but the warm temperatures going to be settling in highs will be in the 60's and the 70's. so looking good around much of the state. now, as we've seen the jet stream make its way further north and that's allowing us to dry out very, very nicely. now, still high pressure in control. you can see that jet stream making these storms roll right over the top that so the focus of southwest for the rain, we're going to get some clouds roll over the top that ridge from time to time. but that's about the worst of it overnight. tonight you're gonna see some of those high clouds moving on through tomorrow morning and not a bad start to your day are up and running here. dry conditions to start out friday. and in that way, maybe some patchy moving along the coastline late in the day. all right. let temperatures tomorrow about 65 in the mission. 61 in the sunset on the coastline are looking to 60 degrees in pacifica inside the bay. those temperatures
