coat with pink sweat suit and red boots. police say she regularly visits the area around san bruno avenue corridor and fairfax avenue. few idea where she is call police. what we're learning about a small plane crash in concord and official with contra costa county. >> tells us a single engine aircraft with only the pilot on board land we can in philly airport shortly after 7 with its landing gear retracted it. the incident did not cause any damage to the runway. officials are saying the aircraft was removed only reopened about 2 hours after. fight between students forcing east bay high school to go on lockdown just before noon on thursday. police got a report of a fight involving multiple people. this is all a dublin high school. what what originally started as a fight with 3 students route to a crowd of 50 to 100 students involved. one of those high schoolers had to be taken to the hospital. another was evaluated and treated. both have minor injuries. police are still trying to figure out what led to that height.

>> and the north bay, a protest in sonoma county over the sheriff's proposal. a refusal, i should say, to support a measure designed to protect undocumented migrants more than a dozen people rallied outside the finley community center in santa rosa. we're inside sheriff said ian groom was addressing public safety with members of the hispanic chamber of commerce. the demonstrators say the sheriff has been refusing to support a non collaboration with ice ordinance and that has them a bit concerned now about the safety of undocumented immigrants in sonoma county. >> we should not be cooperating with ice not be helping in any way that people should be forcibly removed from their homes. >> well, we have reached out to the sheriff's office to confirm the sheriff stance on the ordinance. the office didn't answer the question directly, but that it did say that their office complies with state laws and based on those criteria, they did respond to 64 out of nearly 500 ice requests last year.

schools have been given an ultimatum by the trump administration. get rid of programs that promote diversity, equity and inclusion, also known as dei or risk losing federal funding kron four's. rob nesbitt has the story. schools k through 12 colleges and universities have been given 2 weeks to get rid of their diversity initiatives. >> programs put in place to help diversify a student body are viewed as discrimination by the white house, ending diversity, equity and inclusion is a precondition of receiving federal funds. the white house is threatening to withhold federal funds to schools that promote dei. this letter sent out by the department of education gives k through 12 schools 2 weeks to end race-based admissions, hiring scholarships or graduation ceremonies. vallejo superintendent ruben are yellow, says his district is one of the most diverse in the country. and federal funds are mostly used for students most in need. when we get funding like title one dollars this time, one dollars or really earmarked for students who need additional support. >> regardless of race, it's

>> 8.13, on the clock. new this morning. republicans in the senate have approved a 340 billion dollar framework setting the stage now for major funding on immigration and border security. the vote happened after and all-night session with republicans pushing the plan through domestic, i should say, despite democratic opposition, the package includes 175 billion dollars for border security. that includes mass deportations and border wall construction the pentagon and coast guard would also see funding boost. but this is just a framework. lawmakers still need to hammer out

intended. off-track united states transportation secretary sean duffy blast in california's high-speed rail project set to eventually connect los angeles. >> and san francisco. duffy quick to point out an issue he says must be addressed. california doesn't have the money to complete the project. duffy making these remarks at downtown l a union station alongside california, republican members of congress and the legislature. he and other high speed rail. critics note when california voters first approved the project in 2008, they were told would cost about 45 billion dollars. but since then, new state estimates show the project's costs have ballooned to anywhere between 88 to 128 billion dollars. thus far. the state has spent a total of 10 billion and the federal government 3 and a half billion all as the project's completion date remains unclear. so the question becomes. what do we do? >> well, i can't make decision for the great state of california. but we do have to be responsible for the for the tax dollars that are spent

from the federal government. that's why duffy officially announced the trump administration is launching a review that will investigate and determine whether to move forward with the biden administration decision. >> to allocate an additional 4 billion dollars in federal funds for the portion of the project between bakersfield and percent set for completion sometime between 2030, and 2033, we can't just say we're going to give money. >> and then not hold states accountable to how they spend that money is announced. review comes just weeks after president donald trump about to investigate the project's pending trade that's being built between los angeles and san francisco. is the worst managed project i think ever seen and i've seen some of the works. it's a possible that something could cost that much. we're going to start of investigation and that because it's i've never anything like responding. the california high-speed rail authority ceo wrote this, quote, we welcome this investigation and the opportunity to work with our federal partners with multiple, independent, federal and state audits completed.

>> every dollar is accounted for and we stand by the progress and impact of this project. california's high-speed rail is 171 miles under active construction with over 50 major structures completed 14,700 jobs created and more than 880 small businesses engaged the statement going on to say the project has benefited the central valley economy. still, republicans in the legislature argued the project is unaffordable. they already introduced a bill to require the high speed rail authority provided detailed funding plan and another bill to shift 1 billion dollars from the project to water, infrastructure and fire prevention. how we can show the people that are paying for this, which is the taxpayers, that they're getting more bang for their buck with the high-speed route. i would always argue water, infrastructure and wildfire prevention is the way to go. high speed rail did not have a plan in place. and if they started building. >> that's like putting together and starting building the basement. when you don't even the plans for the 39th floor of 100 foot skyscraper. >> who does that make sense to

repairs, are gonna send a guy tomorrow afternoon to fix it. so it's not raining. >> a 36 the time. alright, antioch man arrested after allegedly fleeing a traffic stop and crashing into an occupied home. antioch. police say that 40 year-old terence benjamin sped away from them as they were trying to stop him for several vehicle code violations. at one point loses control, ended up striking that house. luckily nobody inside was hurt. but benjamin was located in a nearby yard. they had to use drones and a canine unit to spot him. he was treated at hospital and then later booked on multiple charges. >> 6 the san francisco congresswoman and former speaker nancy pelosi says while the presidio is important, it is just another attempt from the president to distance the public for more important issues. those includes cuts and food and health care programs are middle income americans. she held a roundtable discussion in san francisco kron four's

i'm not happy with the way that pg&e handled the wildfires. yeah. yeah. i totally, totally understand. we're adding a ton of sensors. as soon as something comes in contact with the power line, it'll turn off so that there's not a risk that it's gonna fall to the ground and start a fire. okay. and i want you to be able to feel the improvements. we've been able to reduce wildfire risk from our equipment by over 90%. that's something i want to believe.
