we begin this morning with a developing story out of carson city. a man is dead after reportedly -- truck crashing into authorities, then losing control of the vehicle. carson city sheriff ken fur long said part of college parkway was expected to be closed most of it the night as officers still investigated the scene. sheriff fur long said this whole thing started around 4:00 yesterday afternoon when a yellow ford f-150 was reported stolen near brown and edmunds drive. deputies found that truck at a gas station on college parkway, tried to approach the suspect, who they say ran into the deputy's suv, then drove away quickly. shortly after the suspect lost control of the truck and was ejected from the vehicle as it rolled and killed him. today is national wear red day. the goal is to raise awareness heart disease is the number-one killer of women. workers gearing up for the go red for woman luncheon, a r,no event that direct cause as many as

for now. of course we'd like to continue the winter weather. a lot of people travel for super bowl weekend or have grilling or outdoor plans. that is good news for those plans. if you are headed over to the bay area santa clara specifically for the super bowl, here's what you can look for your temperatures over the next few days here: mid-60s today, 68 tomorrow for your high. 71 the high on super bowl sunday, and mostly cloudy skies all the way across the weekend forecast for santa clara. so definitely beautiful stuff over on that side of the hill if you're headed there for the super bowl. if you're lucky enough to have tickets or just going to head over to the area in general. back here at home, we're still looking for mild temperatures into the 50s this weekend, later today into the 40s, 47 finish the high in reno sparks. 30s out over the eastern side of the state. clear skies, calm winds, and 88% humidity. things are quiet for us today. just watch for the potential

happened minutes ago. kind of floating behind nasdaq, down .6 and .7. . swiss bank julius bear has agreed in new york to cooperate for three years to -- american authorities shut down accounts that enabled wealthy americans to evade taxes. lawyers for the bank appeared in federal court yesterday, confirmed the nonprosecution deal. the agreement calls for the bank to share documents and provide witnesses at any court proceeding in february 2019, next 2 years. bank officials will pay $574

and restitution, and close any u.s. to evade taxes. well also president obama going for a new $10 per barrel oil tax on oil. it would be paid by oil companies and be used for clean transportation investments. the fee wouldly be applied to imported oil. crude in the u.s. would not be taxed. even so the patrol is ununlikely to go through a republican controlled congress. . all right. let's turn back locally, toss it over to tim study baker to see how the weatherer is doing here. >> good morning to you. we have the chance for some patchy fog in a few spots. it would be freezing fog, too, because it is quite cold out. mostly going to places like truckie, bartolo, sierra valley locations in general as well as north central and nearby nevada. we're mostly dry now.
