when it comes to replacing antonin scalia on the united states circuit court. obama of course says that he wants to be the one who appoints it, gives the nominee. republicans say, "no. we want the new president to do that." we're going to wait and see if by nominating, if it happens, a republican, if that things with the gop. so we'll wait and see. we'll have more on that coming up in just a few minutes. an unusual story breaking overnight. >> very unusual story. according to sparks police, the victim in this case says she was heading north on spice island drive, approaching gregg street when her gmc yukon was hit behind. she said she got out to check the damage, but the driver of the other suv never did. when she returned, there was a man going inside of her car, going through her wall,t. now, the man reportedly returned the wallet, but

the driver of the other yukon also drove off. the suspect is described as a white man in his 30s with a bald head, a tattoo on the left side of his head, a tattoo on his arm. the driver of the yukon that hit the victim's suv reportedly did not leave the car, but drove off in the car, not the only one, though. it's very confusing. she is described as a white in her 30s with blond hair. anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 350-2225 or secret witness at 322-4900. the white house is considering governor brined sandoval of one of several potential nominees to the united circuit court, and sandoval is getting the most attention nationwide. the nomination of a republican would be seen as an attempt by president obama to court the senate gop. sandoval is the former federal judge who supports abortion rights. he met with them and democratic

monday, and r,id is speaking out about that meeting. >> i don't pick the justices; but i know -- i would support him. he's a good person, has a eat record, a tremendously good governor in spite of having to deal with some very big problems. >> the governor said over the weekend he was honored his name was mentioned; but he at that point had not heard anything to think the democratic -- is considering. officials declined to be named. the one who is first brought this up, because they say they weren't authorized to speak publicly on it. sandoval's consideration was first reported by "the washington post." . a nevada circuit court justice says it's time to reconsider how bail is considered in nevada court. justice -- says the current system of using dollar amounts for bail -- not fair to those who can't afford it. harddessee said the circuit court is considering

the ball game. he has a look at your forecast. >> good morning to you. we sure do have another beautiful day, a copy and paste of yesterday. yesterday we topped out at 67 degrees. the average for this time of year, keep in mind, is 54. that's where we were a couple days ago. yesterday not so much a warm one , indeed. we'll have another warm one, going for 68 in r,no sparks for your high, 57 at south lake, and 54 in elko. temperatures well above average, light winds, and a mix of sun and clouds for the day today. still staying dry. not much on the 7-day forecast as far as shower chances are concern. there are a few. we'll talk about those later only. for now just today is dry. today is pretty quiet. not too much in the way of winds, and a mix of sun

storm system happening mostly to our north. it's centered up over the pacific northwest. it's not a very strong storm. what happens the moisture gets closer to us, then falls apart as it moves over us. a few isolated showers are possible tomorrow night into saturday morning. most of us are still looking at a dry forecast until we get to next week. even then chances are still relatively low, at 10 to 20%. we'll show you that on the 7-in a moment. 60 western nevada. 50s around tahoe for today. mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies at times. light winds for now. winds are a little breezier starting tomorrow into your saturday. but again still very warm out there. temperatures are still well

representative don louis accepted congress's highest honor, the congressional medal. the men and women who walked peacefully from soma to montgomery, al, protesting their inability to vote. congressman louis called them ordinary people with an extraordinary vision to build a true catastrophe in america. the clock is ticking for hundreds of my grants in the northern french port city of calais, waiting for a judge to decide whether to honor or postpone an eviction order. the court says the decision could come today, two days after the deadline expired. a group of humanitarian associations have asked that the state expulsion order for a large are of the camp be postponed. >> gives them a sense of community. they come here. they're english.

>> authorities say the order concerns 800 to 1,000 my grants, but humanitarian groups -- 3,000 my grants. improved weather conditions today allowed rescue teams to recover the bodies of those killed in wednesday's plane crash in central nepal. the bodies were flown to a resort town about 12 miles west of cat man dow where the plane had taken off. police say rescuers had found the wreckage of the small plane carrying 23 people, crashed in bad weather. all those aboard were confirmed dead. airport officials said the plane lost contact shortly after takeoff. tim? thank you. we do have some -- weather across the nearby u.s. as
