issue. they had been on the trail since 10:30 this morning. they became lost and ran low on water. they were able to help them down the mountain safely. court documents aa girl's mother saw christopher santo holding his cell the changing room door. a man who assaulted a outside of mcdowell and he assaulted a witness trying to intervene. the woman called police but when police got there, he went inside the home and started assaulting his mother.

a big headache for delta this is a big headache for delta passengers today. hundreds of flights were canceled and more were delayed. officials say a power outage at the atlanta facility is to blame. travelers were stuck at airports for hours. >> i've been here for four hours and i should be at my

e-mail, twitter and that did not happen. >> delta is giving waivers to passengers whose flights were canceled or significantly delayed. they are allowing passengers to request full refunds or change flights over the next four days without penalty. southwest employees came out to picket at their largest hub city, including here in phoenix at sky harbor. they want a new contract they say employee moral is starting to suffer. ty brennan has the story. >> reporter: here at sky harbor airport this morning, dozens of employees, including flight attendants, baggage handlers came out spreading the message why they need a new contract. >> what do we want? >> contract. >> when do we want it? >> now. >> we're showing our management team that we're frustrated with the direction of our company.

take a look at payson and south of us here. once again, we get a good shot at the valley here. this is one for late wednesday and we get into thursday. we still have moisture around, however, the flash-flood watch will be over by wednesday evening. here are the current winds. we have a few of them blowing pretty good. yuma, 21 miles an hour. bullhead city, 24 miles an hour. when we add the gusts to it, an hour. 5 in globe. 21 at gila bend. those winds are blowing pretty good out there. 110 degrees is where we go today. we had 108 at buckeye. 107 at deer valley. in chandler, 108 degrees. 91 degrees in prescott. 81 in flagstaff.

112 degrees at gila bend. it was hot across the desert. 105, would be your normal high and low. record high at 116. record low at 67. forecasting for tomorrow, 99 degrees. we have a few triple digits in there as well. upper 90's throughout the valley. you have to remember a little moisture finding its way in. we will be increasing the clouds through the 75 at flagstaff. 102 at gila bend. looking across the country, this has been the area with three and four inches of rain down through florida as they have a lot of moisture down there over the last day or two. there has been flooding down there as well. 82 degrees overnight. 99 degrees for tomorrow. as you can see here, reaction to that moisture takes us down to 90 on wednesday.

put your finger to good use. person to person transfers on the firstbank mobile app. police are asking the public's phoenix police are asking the public's help in finding the man who shot and killed a store clerk during an armed robbery. it happened at the 16th street and southern. surveillance photos just released in the case. >> reporter: this is a senseless murder. police say the armed robber already had the cash from the register but for some reason that wasn't enough. in the end, shots were fired and a clerk was killed. the hard part is going to be identifying the gunman. as you can see, he covered himself up pretty well. >> that is so sad.

>> reporter: people who work in the area heartbroken over the tragedy at this popular convenient store. two overnight clerks held up at gunpoint, only one survived. >> the guys that work at night are nice and friendly. >> reporter: the robbery and murder was caught on surveillance video. police have released a few photos but the gunman did a good job of covering himself up. he ordered the clerks to give him all of the money in the ch instead of taking off with the cash, the gunman ordered the two clerks to go into the back room and it was there that shots were fired. one clerk was killed and the other clerk ran off. the gunman gave chase but eventually ran off. >> fifty-cents worth for a fountain drink and they are short and they cover for them.
