marcy? >> reporter: that's right, guys. as you just mentioned, mark, police say the biggest challenge in this case is that nobody is coming forward and saying, look, this is what happened. this is what i saw. they're desperate for information. that's why they're turning to the public saying, if you know anything that can put this guy behind bars, come forward. a young life ended too soon. >> mr. mcdonald had been shot, and he was deceased in some landscaping near the inn. >> reporter: according to police, deshaun mcdonald was celebrating his birthday at the jaguars club when he got up and stepped outside. >> at that point, his friends didn't understand why he was leaving. so they continued with the celebration. >> reporter: after some time passed, deshaun's friends started to worry. that's when the night took a tragic turn. >> at the same time, sometime in there, club patrons reported hearing shots in the parking lot. >> reporter: that's when deshaun was found shot to death.

also known as d-mack deluxe, were devastated. one friend said all he wanted to do was make music and make other people happy. now the police are asking for the public's help in solving this murder. >> somebody out there has cell phone other footage either in the evidence before it occurred or after it occurred would lend some evidence and credence to what we're looking into so we can identify this suspect or suspects and get them off the street. >> reporter: and, of course, police are saying that if anybody has any information, definitely come forward. you're asked to call police or silent witness. they say they're also looking into if any of these surrounding businesses have any kind of cameras so they can possibly go through that footage and see exactly what happened that led up to this tragedy. reporting live, marcy jones, fox 10 news. a developing story of a shooting at another nightclub, this one also fatal.

happened late last night in the parking lot of the sevens lounge nightclub. this is near 80th avenue and glendale. 45-year-old lamar thomas was shot and taken to the hospital where he later died. glendale police haven't released any information on a possible suspect just yet. if you know anything about this case, call glendale police. and a driver is shot at least night during a case of road rage along the the man wasn't hurt after someone allegedly shot at him from another car on the freeway. the man was headed westbound on the i-10 between i-17 and state route 51 and ended up exiting at seventh avenue. that's when the suspect allegedly rolled down the passenger window and fired a shot. the suspect is described as a woman driving a white kia. it's not clear what led up to the shooting. the incident remains under

this afternoon. a man had been crying out for two hours before someone heard him. phoenix fire says the man was free climbing and fell into a crevice. he was alone, didn't have a cell phone, and had been stuck in the crevasse calling for help. someone finally heard him and called for help. they had to send a basket stretcher down to the man in what's called a steep angle rescue. firefighters say they don't do this very they have to climb to the top of the mountain, secure some ropes on the bolts at the top, and then rappel down to the patient. >> we have crews at the bottom. we also have myself and the patient. one of our concerns coming down with the type of terrain is to make sure there are not any rocks falling. so i'm kind of watching my footing as i'm coming down. i also have to make sure to keep myself patient and the crews below me, just watching out for those rocks. >> fire crews say at the scene

they got him some iv fluids and then took him to the nearest hospital. meanwhile, a weather alert. we saw some storms roll into the valley around this time yesterday, and people saw storms across the state. a viewer sent us this photo from dooley just a little while ago and reached out to the national weather service. they say from the picture it appears to be a funnel cloud, but they also say there doesn't seem to be any reports of activity in the area. >> a alerts. >> a dust storm warning now in effect. a result of the storms we're seeing to the south and to the east of us. a lot of activity in the past few hours in that section of the state, and that means we could now see some activity right here in the valley. i'll step out of the frame so

most of the activity through sierra vista up through parts of tucson and 'stros, but likely heard in that alert, that dust storm warning as cells start to limb closer into the northern sections of maricopa county and the southern sections, northern sections of pinal county and the northern sections of maricopa county. take a look at the strength of the cells moving through here. pockets of very heavy rain approaching maricopa from the south. the rest of the activity we're seeing out there, isolated to the northern arizona. and that chance for rain is going to continue tonight into tomorrow. a real quick look for you at the rainfall totals for yesterday into today. 24-hour rainfall totals, we're looking about three-quarters of an inch or wickenburg. half an inch in peoria and scottsdale. close to .3 inch for new river and surprise. some soggy conditions out there. the next couple of days we'll see some changes. update you on that in the next couple of minutes. a news alert.

water on this sunday after massive storms hit a week ago today. at least 13 people have died in the flooding that swept through parts of southern louisiana. those torrential rains really hit the region hard last weekend. an estimated 60,000 homes have been damaged. and hundreds of people -- >> we had a lot of difficulty for the last five or six weeks. so it all comes together. when the storm comes, calmness comes. so the wind blows, and then the sun shines again. >> and the good news is a lot of volunteers are heading that way to help those people who have lost everything in this. dozens of red cross shelters have now opened up across the state. and as much of louisiana is under water, volunteers from right here in arizona have headed to that region to do what they can to help out. >> so far, 31 arizona red cross

fox 10's courtney griffin has more on another volunteer that headed that way today. >> reporter: parts of louisiana covered in water. in lafayette, american red cross shelters scatter the area, providing flood victims a safe and clean place to stay, food, hydration, and emotional support. crystal abbott, a volunteer from arizona, is already there and spoke with us via telephone. >> we watched two people right here in the street from our headquarters, walking across in waist deep water to their house. it's hard, but we're here to give them a smile on their face, to help them, get them cleanup kits if they can get back into their houses, and an ear to listen to if they need to just talk. >> reporter: jean curry, a client casework supervisor from arizona, left today from sky harbor airport. we caught up with her before her flight. >> we've got a lot of people that are in shelters. they're homeless. their homes have been washed

they're not livable. we've got a lot of people looking for a place to stay. some are losing jobs because their employment has been flooded out. there are just a lot of people hurting right now. >> reporter: about 102,000 people have registered for federal assistance, and that number could go up. red cross volunteers say the damage has been rated as one of the worst after hurricane sandy. >> you see the smiles on the people's faces when they come -- when they see you coming in, and they'r little bit. it's really heart warming to be able to help people when they're suffering the way these folks are. >> reporter: courtney griffin, fox 10 news. >> besides all of the other arizona volunteers, more than 1,400 red cross volunteers from all 50 states are helping out, including people from the district of columbia ya and puerto rico. coming up after the break, a

ganziantep, torn apart by a massive explosion. turkey's president blaming isis for the attack that killed dozens. >> translator: preliminary findings point to the fact that this was an action by dash. it was clear that dash had such an organization in ganziantep or was attempting to make room for itself in recent times. >> reporter: officials say a destroyed suicide vest was found at the scene, and it appears the attacker was between 12 and 14 years of age. witnesses say women were among the dead. hundreds gathered for funerals on sunday, but some ceremonies will have to wait. authorities say dna tests are needed to identify many of the victims. >> translator: ten minutes after the blast, we rushed to the site. almost all were lying in the blood. some lost their arms. some lost other parts of their bodies. >> reporter: the strike comes as the country is still reeling from last month's failed military coup, which the government has blamed on the

from the gaza strip hits the israeli border town of sterot. it was allegedly launched by palestinian militants and landed in a residential area between two homes. local residents say it was a miracle no one was hurt. israeli aircraft and tanks responded to the attack by shelling a gaza town. palestinian sources say two people were wounded by the israeli strikes. dust moving into the valley that chance for it making it right here to phoenix. possibility. we'll talk about that coming up in just a couple of minutes. phoenix is gorgeous! warm weather, blue skies, the sonoran desert.

from an adot camera. look at this. this is the i-10 westbound at chandler. all that dust rolling through. christie told us about it earlier, making its way into the valley. visibility has really diminished, hard to see. >> somebody going to our facebook page, how hard it is to drive into that. please remember the safety tips for driving into a dust storm if you have to go out in this. first advice is just stay home. look at thachlt it's like pea soup. you don't want to risk it. pull as far to the right as you can. put on the brake. >> you see the cars there. you can't see the headlights until they're almost through it. visibility is really low out there now. >> it just blew up fast. >> when this warning first came out, it was just for pinal county and spilled over into

for maricopa in effect until 7:00. it's 5:20 now. still a period of of time that's pretty large large for maricopa. we can still see the effects of the blowing dust. we love to see photos and video, but be safe out there. that's your number one priority. if you're over to the side of the road, standing in your front yard, send us a picture. otherwise, a significant amount of dust blowing through the valley tonight. parts of casa grande seeing some of that moisture right now. outflows from them we're starting to see the blowing dust from. we're not seeing rain in the valley quite yet. the possibility of that picture now for the next couple of hours. we'll, of course, be tracking that for you. right now 100 degrees at sky harbor. very calm winds. it is windy this those areas where we're seeing the blowing dust. straight line winds within those areas. otherwise, the weather picture is going to change in the next couple of days as we see this low off the west coast moving into arizona. that's going to make us dry.

we have enough instability out there tonight that there is a potential for some storms. we took a look at the wide shot earlier of this state. in addition to the dust storm warnings for pinal and maricopa counties, it's not great air quality out there. this air quality warning was out many hours ago before that dust warning was in effect. you can only imagine how bad the air quality is now without all that blowing dust. if you can avoid stepping outside tonight, if you can limit the use of your car, certainly do that. warnings in effect until 9:00 this evening. in ter anywhere from 77 in prescott to upper 50s for the grand canyon. 90 into safford. triple digits for yu na. across the valley, a look at those numbers. ranging anywhere from mid-90s. 100 for ahwatukee. deer valley at 96 degrees. this moisture profile has changed just in the past hour or so. we saw a lot of 50s for the dewpoints throughout southern

as you make our way farther to the north, a little bit drier. with the rain moving through, we get the rain cooled air. we've seen these significant temperature changes yesterday into today because of that. the pockets of rain moving from southern arizona and additionally the rain that we've seen moving to parts of northern arizona accounting for those large temperature differences. with the storms out there today, much cooler weather. we only made it to 100 degrees at sky harbor. typical temp is ways off from the record temperature of 110. you've seen those incredible images coming out of texas. just outside of houston, already nine inches of rain have fallen. you'll notice on the wide shot here of the sat/rad, we're not done with that moisture yet. still tapping into the moisture from the gulf coast. those showers continuing into parts of the tennessee valley, climbing into parts of new england, where we're going to see much cooler temperatures as a result. for arizona, temps will drop

payson, to 81 for lake havasu. 62 into douglas. 69 for page. 66 for kingman. tomorrow still hanging on to the triple digits for some spots like yuma, lake havasu, bullhead city close to 100. 68 in flag. and 88 degrees for douglas. tonight partly cloudy conditions, keeping that slight chance of thunderstorm activity in the valley. for tomorrow, that's where we're going to see a mix of sunshine and cloud cover around degrees expected at sky harbor. then we continue with that drying trend as i mentioned. numbers climbing a little bit into your tuesday and your wednesday. otherwise, guys, looks like we're going to get a little bit of a break from the monsoon. i'll keep you updated on social media about that blowing dust at kristy s. fox so or kristy siefkin if you're checking out on facebook. up next, scientists calling this dome their home for nearly a year. the conditions they went through
