only on fox 10, here is the suspect in the phoenix shooting taken down by police this morning. >> he is accused of shooting a mentor, police say he was romantically involved with her. >> reporter: troy and syleste, for the past six days, phoenix police have been looking for 19-year-old malik thomas. someone called with a tip that our cameras were there as phoenix police responded and kron fronted him and took him into custody. we are told at fist, he tried to run a shot distance then he was confronted by offers who drew their guns. at that point, he gave up and was arrested and taken into custody without incident. there are a bunch of restaurants, pet shop, businesses that were open at the time and one employee told us

got caught up in the mix. as soon as she saw police with their guns drawn, she ran into the pet shop, obviously, frightened but safe today. we don't know why he was in this area. this is opposite side of town where the shooting happened. he gunned down a woman he knew. police say the victim and thompson knew each other and they were involved in a romantic police. the victim worked for an organization that supported low-income families and the victim was a mentor to the suspect. police do not have a motive for the shooting. thompson is being booked jail on aggravated assault charges. no one was hurt and he gave up

i'm nicole garcia, fox 10 news. two years after three women in glendale are attacked a teenager is arrested for the crime. dennis moody attacked three women in the area of 47th avenue and glendale. police were working the case and matched d.n.a. from one of the crime scenes to moody. he confessed to the crimes. he has been booked on sexual assault and sexual abuse charges and charged with the same year. police are looking for a man who shot another man this morning. the victim was taken to the hospital where he underwent surgery. the police say the suspect is a balding man driving a black pickup. police investigating a shooting overnight from 19th street and adams. the victim, a 33-year-old, was

an argument broke out and perkins was shot and killed. a big cleanup in at a q.t. at val val vista and main. you can see the front doors were gone. the windows all shattered. the driver is being investigated for d.u.i. fortunately, nobody inside was hurt. tee shirt roosevelt road goes up in flames. this is the older part of the city. this is one of the historic homes that has been turned into a business. crews were able to knock down the fire pretty quickly. we spoke to the man who first saw the flames and called 911. >> we saw an orange glow and a bunch of smoke. we got out of our vehicles and ran over and called 911 and
