this time lamps you will notice the red line, take a look at the southwestern section of the state moving to the northeast and that band of dust continuing to march through the valley areas and chandler, we are getting reports of the dust moving in right about now and it's not good news for those who have respiratory conditions today. not only mablowing dust advisory that will be in effect until 7:00 tonight, that's actually all of this area. you can only see the kind of the tan area on your screen, but this entire area additionally the gray on your screen, where we have that pollution advisory in effect until 9:00. terrible breathing conditions. i would definitely recommend staying inside. the valley relatively dry. but as we take a wider look, you will notice a lot of activity. we saw those live pictures earlier of the stronger cells moving through town. mostly northern arizona seeing the brunt of this storm. zoom in and show you the pockets where we are seeing that activity right now through parts

ash fork one of the areas hit hard. take a look at those strong cells moving through right now. we aren't done with the monsoon activity tonight. i will continue to track it for you throughout the course of the show. okay, thanks. a "fox 10 news" alert out of west phoenix where a water main break causes a sinkhole and it's swallowed the back end of a city bus. skyfox over the scene. this is van buren, 35th avenue. where surrounding streets were flooded. marcy jones has been in the thick of it how is it looking out there now? >> well, i have to say it's getting a little bit better. bus as you can see is removed now. they had the help of that backhoe that's still there and the toeing truck that's up a little bit. now surprisingly the thing that shocked all of us out here is that bus got out and drove away. like nothing happened it was incredible that was the car i don't think it would be the same story that water is still gushing out of there. i talked to a city of phoenix

ago and he told me the reason why it's still gushing, you probably are wondering why aren't they turning off the water. that's happens to be the place where two pipes meet. so they already shut off one and they have to shut off the other. still a lot of water coming out of there. as you can see on the ground just over to the left of the hole there is a ton of gravel and huge pieces of rock which just shows you how much force this had when it kind of exploded when the bus went over it. now we talked to an eyewitness earlier. janelle, she said it caused quite the commotion in the neighborhood. >> bus when down and sunk in and it was stuck and it got worse and worse and the water just kept going down more and more. >> when the bus pulled up, i noticed he was in the sinkhole and the whole thing started flooding. me, what's going on? >> we were told that sinkhole is 6 to 7 feet deep so that's a lot repair. we don't have an exact time when

march. fox 10's danielle miller tonight joins us live with the latest on the investigation. danielle, nothing really new came out of this today but the reward money up by 25 grand? >> yeah, that's right. and phoenix police also telling us they received nearly 1500 tips from the public.& they investigated all of those tips and are hoping for much more to come so we can catch the person. that's behind this and the big news like you mentioned, the reward for a tip leading to an arrest now as you can see right there increased to $75,000. phoenix police are hoping that this will be the final push for someone to come forward. >> phoenix police holding a press conference today alongside members of local and federal law enforcement to let the public know that solving the serial street shooter case is top priority. >> there is much or more resources, detectives, officers, cooperating agencies dedicated

task force that i have seen in my times in attorney general mark brnovich also increasing the silent witness reward for any information leading to an arrest. >> the arizona attorney general's office has announced today we are contributing additional $25,000 to the reward to make sure that we are doing everything we can to apprehend this individual. >> this additional money boosting the reward to $75,000. maricopa county attorney bill montgomery wants to remind the public anyone with information can remain anonymous and shun fear getting in trouble. especially those concerned about their immigration status. >> anyone who comes forward to assist with this case whether a witness or a victim, their immigration status will not be considered whatsoever. and i will not accept charging any case that arises out of someone's immigration status that is revealed as a consequence of the investigation. >> and john, police telling us

the last to be connected to this case that they are investigating. we were hoping there is no other incidents out there connected to this. the suspect is described as hispanic male possibly driving a white cadillac or late 1990s to 2000 black bmw just like with a you are seeing right here. once again they are ward now $75,000. the police are asking anybody with any information to please come forward and give them a call or call silent witness at 480-witness. reporting "fox 10 news." and another string of shootings that remain unsolved, the i-10 freeway shootings from last summer along i-10. today a judge rules that former suspect in that case will not be getting his gun back. dps continuing to hold the firearm that belongs to leslie merritt, jr. he was as you know in custody for a time in related to this crime. his lawyers went to court today trying to get his gun back. merritt had been held in jail

april and all charges against him were dropped. merritt had been suspected in four of the 11 shootings. but his attorneys say the ballistics evidence did not hold up. >> dps wants to save face and they keep hanging on to this and that's why they had their own lab retest the gun there the only ones who are making a connection. everyone else says there is just nothing there. >> merritt's attorney file a civil lawsuit against dps and state of arizona seeking $10 million in damages for wrongful prosecution. they have until september 18th to file that suit which by the way would mark one year since merritt was take toon custody. prosecutors say they could refile charges against merritt at a later date. they are still looking into this case. this story has a lot of you talking on social media and we want to know what you think. log on to our facebook page,

glendale police tonight need your help finding a man and his ten month old son who disappeared yesterday. glendale police say ramon salas was last seen leaving his parent's house with his ten month old son abraham. ramon was on his way to pick up his girl friend who was abraham 's mother, but she said he never showed up. and all attempts to reach him or contact him have been unsuccesful. he was last seen driving a gray if you knowny0 truck.- and his son's whereabouts, contact glendale police. one family's heirlooms and memories sealed in boxes were stolen by thieves. right as they got ready to move. last friday jake wedge and his family moved from phoenix to their new home in chandler. but as the movers arrived they noticed several of their boxes were missing. the contents of those boxes including irreplaceable items like jake's father's flag that he earned fighting in vietnam.

forecast is going to include some moisture today, tomorrow and in fact the next couple of days a better chance for rain in our forecast right here in the valley. this low as it moves through utah to the coast line is going to result in a little different steering flow. with that we will tap into that subtropical moisture and a monsoon pattern will up a little bit or the intensity will increase a little bit. 102 right now for lake havasu. 90s in stafford. upper 70s for payson. 56 into fla page. temperature for today where it should be. 104 the seasonal average coming in today at 103. back in 2011 quite warm. in fact ten degrees warmer than what we saw for our temperature today. 113 degrees. for tonight, temps cooling to the mid-80s in lake havasu. 46 for flag. 60 for douglas and 53 for st. johns and then tomorrow 102 for yuma. 89 for kingman. 89 for globe.

high in flagstaff. keeping that chance of activity in the forecast tonight, and into tomorrow as that monsoon moisture increases for your friday and saturday. looks like a 20% chance for showers in the valley. of course, better chance in that high terrain and then we dry up and we will warm up as we get into the end of your weekend and the start of your workweek. cardinals winding down. they point toward sunday. game against the houston texans.
