penzone lost by six percentage points. there were three people in the race at that time. different story at that time. this time, two people in the race, the sheriff and paul penzone. the sheriff has a long running case against him and he is looking at possible criminl contempt of court charges for his actions for not following the judge's orders. there has been concerned t is 84 years and some people say it is time for him to retire and change for the maricopa county sheriff's office. don't tell the sheriff that. he fought back and he says he does not appreciate comments about his age. >> i'm going to keep doing my job. i always do. and also, let the people know we have done a lot of good things

wendy rogers and rancher gary kiehne. this is his second run for congress. he ran back in 2012 and he had a lot of media attention. he has been at the center of a lot of controversies. he ended up dropping out of his bid for congress after a political scandal involving his gay lover. he addressed those issues saying he appreciates the support he has gotten able to overlook those controversies and look at his merits and everything he has done as sheriff for pinal county even though there are a lot of attack ads against him. if paul babeu wins the november ticket, he would be the first elected openly gay republican congressman and he talked about how proud he would be to have that title. >> i'm so proud of republicans
