friends lost contact with an overnight crash near seventh avenue. not clear how badly the motorcyclist was hurt in this. there is no description of the driver who took off. part of the freeway was shut down but it reopened this morning. man arrested in bullhead city accused of setting off bombs in the area. they a this is 48-year-old phillip creekcoyian. two weeks ago, a device was detonated in the an alley. a witness helped police track down the suspect's vehicle and they served a search warrant on his home and they said they found bomb-making materials and several explosives ready to use inside.

their apartment unit with a bleeding man behind the wheel of the car. it happened around 27th avenue and camelback road. courtney griffin has more. >> reporter: phoenix police say just before 2:00 this morning, a man was shot at multiple times. he ended up losing control of his vehicle and driving right into the apartment unit where three people were asleep inside. the three people are ok but the driver was pronounced dead on scene. >> i w sleep. boom, boom, boom, pow. everything went hell from there. >> reporter: he was inside the unit when a car came crashing through. he says thankflly, he and his two roommates were not in the living room. >> i did not think. just reacted when i heard the crash, i had got on my feet and i saw the car and the dust and everything all around.

i went back looking for a flashlight. i went back to the car and saw the guy bleeding. >> reporter: he says he called 911 as the driver was going in and out of consciousness. >> he was in and out. reporter: when police arrived, they got the plan out of the car in fear of the roof collapsing. crews worked on the man but was pronounced dead on scene. >> it was loud. i cannot compare it was loud and dusty and it was chaos. >> reporter: courtney griffin, fox 10 news. tomorrow could be a big day in court for bill cosby. the 79-year-old accused of drugging and molesting and raping a woman. this one accused at temple university. it comes as the deposition was unsealed.

deposition out of his sexual assault trial. his attorneys say he only tested if he was promised never to have it used in a case but he never had immunity. a creek bursts its banks and burst through a dam and that led to a mudslide through a village. this is the second time in the past month that the village has been hit by a caught on camera, a woman in indiana trying to steal some donald trump campaign signs but things go all wrong for her because the sign was attached to a fishing wire. when the woman tried to run off, she tripped and fell face first. she ran off without the sign. the man who rigged rigged the ss he does not care if you disagree with the sign, just leave the sign alone.

tonight at 6:00, a hazardous fire erupts at a scrap yard in phoenix. witnesses say they heard explosions. we have a reporter on the scene. three men wake up to find a car smashed into their phoenix apartment and the driver covered in blood. how a shooting led to this accident. the images hard to for waters swept away their vans in colorado city one year ago. details about a memorial services planned for the victims. an arizona man arrested accused of making bombs in his home and setting them off around town. we'll show you where. thank you for joining us on fox 10 news at 6:00. we're following a fox 10 news alert.

this is the labor day weekend and a lot of people near the pool. 85th avenue and camelback road. a toddler was found in the backyard pool after going unseen for a few minutes. looks like they have a party set up. a bystander performed c.p.r. on the child. the child was taken to the hospital. at the time of the transport to the hospital, the child was not breathing and did not have a pulse. this is looking very grave. we're continuing to cover this throughout the newscast as soon as we get more information on this toddler's condition. we will report them to you here on fox 10 news. to the top story, steel, aluminum, copper, brass, nickel up in flames when a scrap yard caught fire. as you can see, from the picture here, it was a pretty big fire and you can see how it went out
