move over. that's what d.p.s. is reminding drivers to do after a deadly hit-and-run this morning. a shooting at a shopping center erupts when two people pull guns on each other. we have the details. nearly 1,500 glendale students displaced because of repairs their school buildings need. and could this video change the presidential election? hillary clinton's condition one day after she nearly fainted.

today. first at noon, d.p.s. searching for a hit-and-run driver who hit and killed a man on i-17. >> this happened around 2:00 this morning. ron hoon joins us in studio now. >> d.p.s. tells us it was about 2:00 this morning they received some 911 reports. two vehicles were pulled off the side of the black canyon freeway, the i-17 at the thomas road on-ramp. just minutes l man had been hit by an suv that came driving by. and here is the scene of where the killing happened. d.p.s. says the victim, a man in his early 20s, he was pulled over to the side of the road after his car stalled. authorities say a good samaritan attempted to come to his aid and help to jump start the car. but the driver was suddenly strike by another vehicle driving on to the 17. he died at the hospital. and d.p.s. is reminding drivers,

arizona. when you see the flashing lights of an emergency vehicle or any stopped vehicle belonging to anyone, they say you have to move over every time, for every vehicle. at this hour, d.p.s. is still looking for the hit-and-run killer in this case. >> light-colored or white chevy pickup truck. it's short bed, and the rear end of this pickup truck is customized, and that's because the rear taillights were removed and either bumper and centered or the tailgate. again, it's a short bed chevy truck and it was again last seen northbound i-17 from bethany thomas. it took the northbound ramp, and phoenix pd troopers are looking for it as we are speaking. >> d.p.s. says the vehicle also will likely have some front end damage and possibly damage to the hood and windshield. it all happened so fast. by the way, it could also be

mirror if you see it or know anything that could help crack the case, please call phoenix police or silent witness. eastbound wreck on i-10, backed up because of a semi-truck, you see it there rolled over on its side. skyfox over this, you can see the semi spilled its whole load, i-10 going out of the downtown area at salt river bridge. nowhere for traffic to go there, stuck there, only two lanes of traffic moving and that really backed up the traffic. so about two hours later the truck was tipped backup right and the load cleaned up. busy day for morning roadways, no classes today for hundreds of students in glendale, came to a shock to quite a few parents over the weekend. the landmark and challenger schools today remain closed and could remain closed for up to five weeks for repairs. both campuses need structural repairs before students and

classrooms. classes have been cancelled through wednesday as the district works to accommodate up to 1500 students. they are looking for available space for fitting both schools or possibly sharing space at other schools in the district. the repairs are expected to cost up to $2.5 million. the glendale elementary school district is holding three community meetings tonight if you have any questions. this is of course to address parents' concerns. the meetings will be held tonight at the glendale civic center, one at 3:00 p.m. then at 00 at 7:00 p.m. we have a follow-up now from a shooting over the weekend that happened at the desert ridge marketplace, a lot of people around. police tell us two people agreed to meet there for an online seller. we are told the suspect tried to rob the victim, but the victim also brought a gun and fired. the two exchanged gunfire until the suspect then took whatever they were buying and took off on a red motorcycle. if you know anything about this, you are asked to call silent witness, that's 480-witness.

and killed on the 51, there was a second shooting on a valley freeway, this one on the i-10 near the stack. police arrested a 22-year-old man on ten different accounts, including aggravated assault, discharging a firearm in city limits, and endangerment. police say rodriguez was standing in the median of the i-10 where a woman shot a car. sun city west update, investigators now confirming there was a murder suicide. deputies were called to a home on saturday when a relative found the bodies, no information about the victims being released. a dog died in a house fire near 43rd avenue and indian

friday, why'd we just learn about it yesterday? today president obama is meeting with congressional leaders ahead of a deadline to fund the government or face a shutdown. the white house and lawmakers are working towards a deal to fund the fight against zika amid warnings from government scientists that the money has run out. the president is set to meet with g.o.p. leaders, house speaker paul ryan, and mitch mcconnell as well as their democratic pelosi and harry reed. investigators in florida looking into a fire at a mosque attended by the orlando nightclub gunman. crews were able to put it out quickly. the mosque was attended by omar mateen who murdered 49 people and injured 53 more with high powered rifles in an orlando nightclub. they say an arson at any police

community in memphis, tennessee after nine people were killed in a house fire. early reports say they may have all been from one family. fire officials say four adults and five children died after the fire, one child clinging to life in the hospital. one of the deadliest fires in memphis since the 1920s. been a lot of talk about head injuries in football, but what about soccer? a new injuries are sending more kids to the e.r. these days, most of those cases involving kids with concussions who need medical care. researchers and sports medicine experts believe the rising cases not only reflect soccer's grwing popularity, that more and more young kids are playing, but also greater awareness about head injuries, concussions and all of the risk. coming up, we are taking a look your forecast and when's

weather alert, north korea, where dozens of crews are cleaning up after a massive flood workers are trying to savage a railroad damaged by flood waters, suffering the worst flood damage ta they have seen in years. this lightning caught on camera in scottsdale, boom, there it is, nice, about 4:00 a.m. also reports of small amounts of rain falling around the valley. as a matter of fact, when i walked out to get a bowl of chili at 10:15, it was raining in downtown phoenix.

junction, still down in queen creek, scattered thunderstorm. what you are seeing is probably some of that sunshining through the clouds and then eventually possibly a but of these rain showers, north of fountain hills of course and up into the tonto basin as well. take a look at this. just east of us, eastern arizona, folks out in globe, miami not being hit just yet, but folks out san carlos way as well. we will experience some of the scattered thunderstorms throughout the day, and then it will dry up hopefully across west of the week. temperatures across the state, 75 at the grand canyon, 68 in flagstaff, in the high country just gorgeous, 84 in winslow, 97, 99 across the colorado, just gorgeous there. right now across the valley, 90s, 80s and 70s across the eastern seaboard as you can see. it's kind of let up in terms of the mugginess in the east coast,

take a look at the middle part of the country, just amazing, those skies really starting to clear up, those folks out in eastern idaho starting to get storms as they move close to northern denver as well. town to the arizona skies, you can see it's going to be pretty pleasant throughout the day, forecasted highs, 96 in phoenix, 79 in prescott, 84 in sedona, 68 in flagstaff, 88 up in page, up at lake powell for you folks maybe in the houseboating trips, safford. forecasted lows for tonight, 55 in winslow, 56 in payson, and 51 up this the white mountains area. it is just gorgeous. take a look at a couple of these photographs as you can see. enrique ruiz, a couple of photos from this morning, and some of the clouds that we saw really starting to shine through.

self-driving system is finally getting an upgrade. ceo elon musk says the new technology will rely more on radar and less on cameras, and it's expected to dramatically reduce the number of crashes. as part of the changes, the system will disengage if drivers ignore three warnings within the span of an hour to keep their hands on the wheel. the upgrade is expected within a week or two. apple reportedly dozens of its self-driving car project and has closed down parts entirely, "the new york times" describing it as a reboot of the project. apple is reportedly going to focus on the software as opposed to the hardware. the new film sully soared at theaters this weekend, landing in the top spot. the movie, based on the real life miracle at the hudson scored big at the box office
