phoenix. as we zoom closer as it came through went over the 101, scottsdale got hit from north scottsdale to south scottsdale. this created some trouble for people out and about this afternoon. thankfully died out by the lunch hour so it wasn't too big of a problem. we are seeing a few storms tonight as we zoom in closer. some of it isn't making it to the ground but on th r pine. a little further north some of the storms are starting to move across here, across the colorado river and extreme northern arizona. across the grand canyon. they are getting big storms right now. we will have it all covered for you but we are out of the woods for the big storm and i think you will love the forecast from tomorrow and beyond. >> three rookie phoenix police officers have resigned after a traffic stop where a man says

to avoid going to jail. the police chief says the office officers, two of which are suspects. september 13th officers found one gram of marijuana in a car during a traffic stop near 45th avenue an mcdowall. the 19 year-old driver said the officers told him if he ate the pot he would avoid going to jail. so that's what he the lieutenant in charge did not act quickly enough and the officers turned off their body cameras during this incident. >> because i can tell you based on the information that i have, termination was inevitable. it was coming. i'm very, very displeased with their activities and i was going to fire them based on the information i have right now. they chose to resign. that's their call. they are not phoenix police

>> the lieutenant involved was demoted to a sargeant. at least two of the officers involved could be facing charges. >> several large explosions shock a phoenix neighborhood after a mobile home burst into flames. cell phone video shot by a neighbor shows multiple explosions that you are seeing there. one witness heard up to 10 of them and heard dozens of other people watch in terror as huge bright flames engulf t home this morning. it was the scene at 35th and beardsly where 50 firefighters worked tirelessly to make sure the fire did not spread. good samaritans rescued a dog and a horse from the back of the prompt property. >> it actually shook my whole house. i thought it was a terror attack or earthquake. >> i realized the whole sky was like orange. >> two people that live next

expected to be okay. and the neighbors think the people that live in the home are out of town right now. they are grateful they were not inside when the fire broke out. >> a man goes on a shopping spree but the only trouble is he walked out without paying for any of it. an employee at the ulta store told police a man walked into a store and stole a bunch of merchandise. the cost of the items he took was almost $500. suspect is male. he was wearing long sleeves, blue jeans and blue shoes. call police if you think you recognize that man. >> come here! >> caught on camera, a group of burglars break into a home. but they go after a micro pig.

again turning violence over the police shooting of a 49-year-old keith lamont scott. protesters throwing bottles and throwing fireworks at police, damaging businesses in downtown charlotte as they marched through the streets. scott was shot tuesday night while police were serving a warrant. there are conflicts reports of how the shooting went down. some say scott had a gun. while others say he was unarmed. the charlotte police chief admitting in a press today there's still outstanding questions. >> the video does not give me absolute definitive visual evidence that that would confirm that a person is pointing a gun. i did not see that in the videos that i've reviewed. >> as the clean up here continues and despite requests from the community, police say they will not release the body cam video to the public.

the dew point is high and the humidity high after all that rain today. and there's still tropical moisture in the air in arizona right now. 87 was your high. w were 11 degrees below where we should be and if you were in parts of scottsdale, mesa, you got more than that, but that is at the airport. and it was due to the storm that moved through. it started here in buckeye and wreaked havoc across pts phoenix and as we zoom in, you can see just as it moves over, it gets big over the 101, heading into the scottsdale, moving into fountain hill. heavy rain, a little bit of downpour and lightning as well. a had someone say i couldn't see 10 feet in front of my car. good news is it has pretty much dleered out. there's a little bit of rain along the rim.
