fox 10 news at noon starts now. thank you for being here at noon. new concerns about a shocking crime that a lot of people are talking about, caught on surveillance camera, a suspect picking up shoulder like a caveman and then going off to sexual assault her. >> an unbelievable story, officers say he took her to her home and then raped her. scottsdale police say there may be other victims out there. an incredibly disturbing case, a woman and her friend drinking at the bottle blond bar on the night of september 17th. the victim unable to walk on her

alone to go get a car. surveillance images that you're looking at right here show the victim getting carried away by the suspect. he assaulted her at galleria parking garage, drove her to her home and assaulted her two more times. the victim saying she woke up in a strange place. she described the suspect to police. he's rodolfo ramirez arrested earlier this week, being held without any bond. he's a former professional mixed martial arts fighter who works at the nearby valley ho in scottsdale. police are concerned that he may have other victims out that he has done this to. >> the victim in this case was in her mid-20s. there is the possibility that there might be other victims out there or people that might recognize this suspect in similar incidents. >> police are asking the public

crimes involving ramirez. he's charged with kidnapping, sex assault, and sex abuse. also out of scottsdale a woman rushed to the hospital in scottsdale after smoke and flames were spotted at her town home earlier today, smoke pouring out of the home at 91st and shea. firefighters found a woman in the bedroom of the unit, and she had some smoke inhalation issues. so medics on scene rushed her to the hospital. she's now being treated by a working smoke detector in the town home which activated sprinklers and helped put out the fire. scottsdale fire crews are now looking at what started that fire in the first place. a bicyclist killed in a collision with a cement truck at a freeway off-ramp, skyfox over the scene earlier of the deadly crash. the victim was rushed to a hospital and later died.

near the loop 202, all while police investigate this whole situation. it is expected to open up anytime now. up northwest valley in glendale, a man rushed to the hospital in critical condition hit by a car near 19th avenue and glendale. the driver remained at the scene of the crash but it looks like he may have been impaired. missay the victim was 30 years old, his name not yet released, investigators looking into what led up to that accident. another person in custody this afternoon, a strange standoff you don't hear about very often, the 20-year-old suspected wanted on a felony warrant when they found him. after a chase on valley freeways, he barricaded himself inside an am/pm near 32nd and cactus. he was inside with a rifle for about three hours. then his mother showed up at the scene. after a three-hour standoff, cisneros surrendered to police,

a preliminary ntsb report released today shows that one of the sky divers on board the plane heard a loud noise. the sky diver then saw damage to the wing as it became engulfed in flames. four sky divers and the pilot all jumped off the plane safely before it crashed into this home here. nobody was hurt but the house, as you can imagine and see from these images is a total loss. the new report does not say what caused the aircraft to plummet to the ground. at sky harbor if you are flying out seeing these people, southwest air workers on strike, mechanics. they are picketing southwest airlines along with other, you can see pilots and other people who are backing them at different arnts across the country today. -- different airports across the country today. hundreds of picketers out at terminal four today say they want a pay raise and more job security. southwest says they are hoping it reach an agreement at the negotiating table.

you're watching fox 10 news at noon. the man accused of running down three phoenix police officers outside a valley qt was in court today. chances here. tough to watch, a preliminary hearing for mark payne earlier today, his hearing coming a few days after a status conference was cancelled on tuesday. he has a history with police, back in 97 cutting a deal, accused of assaulting officers in a traffic stop, he got probation in that case, his arraignment scheduled for a couple of weeks.

effort to keep charlotte protesters from getting out of control, cell phone video released, the new footage does not show the actual shooting, and a weapon is never visible. it was released by the attorney of scott's wife. in the meantime, the police chief announcing an arrest in the killing of a protester that took place on wednesday night. using surveillance video, they identified the shooter as bora. last night's protests w peaceful, for the most part. a police officer turns herself in after shooting an unarmed black man in tulsa, oklahoma. the officer is now charged with first-degree manslaughter. court documents say officer betty shelby acted, quote, "unreasonably when she shot 40-year-old terence crutcher." she was booked into the tulsa county jail overnight, booked

reverend jarrett maupin organized protests to protest the death of a african-american shot by tempe police. the tempe police department says they hope the protests will be peaceful. they have plans if the situation grows heated. an elementary school student tests positive for leprosy. a disease you may not even heard have anybody have in a long, long time. well, it's in california. first, doctors thought two children had it. but tests came back only positive for one. public health officials are trying to calm parents. they say it's very, very difficult to catch leprosy from somebody else, but the classrooms have all been sanitized. the u.s. sees about 150 leprosy cases still every single year and say 95% of the population is naturally immune to that disease. the bullhead city regatta has officially floated away into

a new page of controversy for sheriff paul babeu. sources tell us the fbi has subpoenaed records related to how babeu's office used seized criminal money also known as rico funds. critics have said pcso's use of the foundation is like money laundering. and they've also accused babeu of using the funds to fuel his campaign. eady be illegal campaigning with government resources. or if they're just being used to make the sheriff look good, as he runs for congress.

fox 10 news is back. a weather alert here caught on camera in utah, a small tornado touches down in riverdale. it's a suburb of salt lake city, north of salt lake city. the national weather service says the storm knocked out power to as many as 30,000 people. you can see the beginning of this twister here in this video. incredible. and take a look at the damage in webber county in that state, the building sustained significant damage, at least two homes completely destroyed and dozens of others damaged, including at least ten that can't be lived in. no one was seriously hurt. >> just two people, just two. >> look at this rescue in northern england. a royal national lifeboat rescuing two people from the roof of their car, and if you look around, there is nothing around the car. when i say this morning, i was think, well, how did the car get there? well it started to sink in the rising flood waters and is must
